Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
RUS38 replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Just checked the webstore, release date delayed to January 2nd 2018. Great!! Now which delay is this? I lost the count. Might just cancel my preorder and check back next Christmas -
Wow that touchdown, the sound of touchdown and the engine sounds are so relistic! DCS Mig-21Bis is really disappointing:thumbdown: after watching that video considering that it's been in development for for over 5 years now.

I would sell you my Strix 980ti for like $500 if 2080ti was out now, cause that's what I'm waiting for. Send it out like it's something for repairs or whatever (meaning that it's not some purchased goods and you shouldn't be taxed and charged any import duties that would be just plain silly) 980ti actually shows same performance and sometimes even better than 1070 so I as others mentioned just find a second hand 980ti if you can locally.

Судя по всему 1.6.x на подходе :)

From reading the forum I found that it's a bug and everyone seem to have this issue when other helicopters not even necessarily Hueys are flying around. Seems like this bug has been around for more than a year and developers don't seem to really care and do anything about it, pretty sad. If you've managed to make it work let me know. I don't really mind if there is no minigun sounds.

I need help please. The Custom Startup sound like in the video doesn't work. I still have old engine startup sound.

All I want to know is how much longer for the update of DCS 2.0 Mig-21?
-
Don't worry, by the time the map is released 32GB of RAM will be the lowest standard anyway for most games:) I mean I myself have 16gb and playing DCS on higher settings especially in some missions my ram usage goes up to 14GB and performance goes down dramatically so I'm already thinking about an upgrade. There is no doubt that if you are gonna play in SoH on high settings you will need more than 16gb.

Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)

Well, actually aimed to start shipping in late May. Then in the news it was mentioned "Estimated to ship in late September 2017". Then 1st of November and now we are going to wait and see what happens in December. Waiting another month doesn't bother me at all unlike the promises. -

IMHO label spots should be recessed not raised just like on the real grip. Looks better as well. -
"Early Morning" is just what you see on the pic. No hidden message in that:)

:doh:Just because we have Mirage and upcoming F-18 doesn't mean I don't and won't be enjoying mig-21

As if I have not done so a 1000+ times. :megalol:

Actually I've noticed this difference in sensation of speed as well. When I got into VR. Even taking HMD off to have look at what happens on the screen (in full screen mode) while taxiing the difference is quite noticeable. I've also noticed the difference in sensation of speed in NTTR vs Caucasus maps. In NTTR it feels much faster especially during takeoff. I was trying to think what could be the cause of this difference in sensation (graphics, lighting, resolution) and I can't really explain it. As a side note I've been flying in VR for 5 months now and it is absolutely incredible how much improvement in performance has been made by ED. For me the performance of DCS 2.1 was unacceptable until now and I could not fly even with shadows off, now since the last two updates I finally got into NTTR and it is incredibly smooth even with shadows and mirrors on. Just WOW!

:mad:I've never seen a floodlight in BS since I bought it in 2008. And brightness adjustment knobs for instrument lights never worked properly. The only one that works is for the back panel. Cockpit textures look bad and need to be brought up to standard. Why not just ask for donations to polish the older modules if there isn't much sales of KA-50 which I doubt. It really is disappointing to see that FC planes get all kind of updates but KA-50 is forgotten and way behind.

What version of DCS is that?

Ghost presses in 99% of the cases happen either due to 1. you are not disconnecting it from USB port after PC restart or 2. Wire damage. If it was working well for a long period of time and then for no apparent reason you start getting ghost presses it is definitely the wires. If you take a look inside you will notice insulation cracks but some of them can't be noticed until you wiggle the wire while testing the buttons with Mad Cats software. Soldering them is a pain in the a**.:joystick:. It's not just 1 or 2 wires it's pretty much all of them! Soldering them is not the solution for a long term fix. You need to take the whole thing apart and replace the wires completely. all of them! -

Any rough estimate on the release date of M-TCS (like early or late next year)? Would be good to know. I'm asking because my X55 throttle is falling apart after nearly 3 years. I've already had to solder the wires a while ago and they are giving me a headache again and a few switches as well. I have a choice between Thrustmaster TWCS and X56 Rhino. X56 is the best throttle currently on the market in terms of functionality IMHO but I really don't want to spend so much on a sh** quality Saitek product again that is gonna last a bit longer than a year if lucky. So if M-TCS is not too far away I might just get along with TM TWCS for a while. Thanks
