I agree. I don't play the waiting game anymore that most people seem to like. It's an evil game. I don't even expect 2.5 to be released this year. I remember a few months ago Chizh mentioned in the russian side of the forum that Caucasus 2.5 will be released this year but knowing ED I don't believe it. More like by the end of 2018 at least stable and playable in VR.

This could probably go into a wishllist but in 2.5 I would really like an update of the Sochi international airport as close as possible to the real one just like McCarran international airport in Nevada and possibly the whole city in the future :music_whistling:

Just tried DCS 2.1 in Nevada for the first time and can confirm that lighting in VR is horrible during sunset, sunrise. Night cockpit lighting is all wrong. M2000 red floodlights are purple color instead of red, HUD is too bright and unrealistic. Night time is unplayable. Performance is really bad on 980ti. For now DCS 2 is just a 60gb of wasted space so that is Delete.

Hi Rainer! I've received mine a few days ago and just wondering if those two screws that hold down the dust cover are still an issue with this second batch of gunfighters. Should I loosen it a bit? Just by looking I couldn't find what could be the problem that was mentioned before. BTW my short first time impression is there as well. I've also received mine a couple of days ago and only had enough time to put it all together and do all the adjustments needed but +1 about the level of service and support by Rainer at VKB-Sim America, lightning fast shipping (to New Zealand within just 4 working days) and top quality and aesthetics of VKB product. Got my JetSeat sim edition just over a month ago. It is awesome! A must have for VR! Love the design and olive color of a sim edition. The way I'd describe it is VR brings immersion to a sim and jetseat makes it alive.

It might well be another 2 months till we can get our hands on it. I don't think I can wait that long:joystick: I will just stick with L39, mig15 and spitfire when I get the gunfighter. That's plenty.

Reading all the comments from people that switched to VR from the 4k monitors I'm so glad I've never had one and never seen what DCS looks like on those super expensive screens. I built a high end system and switched to the Rift from a 24" 1080p:D Saying that I will never fly on a monitor again. No VR? no DCS for me.

Hi Andre, I was about to place an order for the Jetset sim edition and was initially going to use paypal, the shipping cost to New Zealand was $33. Then I decided to register an account and all of a sudden the shipping cost changed to $100:huh:. I've been shopping online for quite sometime now and never paid so much for shipping even with DHL. That seems way too much just for shipping and that's excluding any tax. I mean I don't rally need it to be wrapped up in gold and bullet proof packaging:) Could you provide any cheaper option otherwise I will have to hold off and find some other way. Thanks

Thanks for all your replies! It just seemed weird that a while ago in training mission I was able to select KL1 and then one day I was going to finally try A-A guns but it didn't work the way I remember. Anyway KL1 never really lights up now but A-A guns do work using HOTAS. Thanks

Hey everyone, Not sure if it is a bug but when I try to select KL1 for Air-to-Air by pressing CAS on PCA only KL2 lights up. Pressing CAS again does nothing, pressing C key deselects KL2, pressing C again does nothing. Anyone else have this problem?

You mean LALT+C. But that is like toggle mouse on or off it doesn't make it automatically disappear when not in use.

Check "use mouse" in VR option is enabled. That is the only way to make it disappear.

I agree, that is the way to do it! Maybe if your system allows increase you pixel density. I have it at 1.7 and radar is very clear.

Hmm, I have worse experience with ASW on. It stutters or better say I get micro freezes every few seconds. Very annoying and makes it unplayable for me.

I wish I knew how to make manuals or guides into a kneeboard. I just jump into the cockpit of an aircraft and try to get familiar with it looking at all the switches and gauges. Then I take a manual and guide and just read:book:. I read through the basic functionality first then go into basic training missions like start up and navigation. Start up is always the hardest part and I do start up mission a few times up to 3 times in the row depending on complexity of a given aircraft. Then the next day I do 3 start ups myself (every time trying to do it faster) by then I feel pretty confident and have no issues remembering even if I take a long break from flying. Then I read on navigation systems then do the training mission on take off and navigation. Same process with weapon systems and so on. There are also videos on youtube that can be helpful.

I've enjoyed so much learning Black Shark. Got it the day of release. The first fully functional module. It's been many years since and I still enjoy flying it. I bought mirage a year ago but never even bothered trying it because it wasn't quite ready. About 2 months ago I decided it was time to try it out. Found Chuck's guide really useful in combination with the manual. Really enjoyed learning it. Now I have 3 favorite modules Ka-50, mig-21 (cockpit is stunning in vr) and M-2000 is my number 1 at the moment.

That's what I'm talking about. When flying over and looking at the distant objects like buildings they are very smooth but now shift your attention to the edges of your aircraft and you see it is sort of blurry also things get worse when you start flying at high speeds.
