I know about the story behind Serbian who shoot down the F-117, that is not the case, I believe DCS is way way far from those complex real situation, in a matter of physics, Airfoils, Aerodynamics, Radar waves, ground clutters, ECM, encryption and many more ... It was level flying F-117 at angels 5 without any armament, weapon hold ROE, ECM always (on and off, both tried out) and it is simply immortal by default in some level, the reason is it will get lock and fire upon by SA-6 or Tor .. and after multiple heat it will crash. I believe it would be easy test for everyone who wants to take look at it so i didn't provide any track file or sample mission. I had a mission which I intended to simulated the desert storm night mission when AAA got engaged and was firing blindly, I had to put some slow moving targets for them to open a fire, like L-39 ( i prefer not to use heli because of flight level) however because of obvious all the SAMs start to engage with those L-39, so I decided to put F-117 however after testing F-117 the SAMs start engaging. side notes: if you try to lock the F-117 by air to air radar that would not be possible ( i tested it last time on 2018 with hornet) as it define to has a very tiny RCS in its lua config file; the next important question would be " DOES the SAMs in DCS detect Airplane base on RCS or there wouldnt be any difference between C-130 and Viper " ?!

Thanks rob10, good point to mentioned about the bug which existed and got fixed, I am not sure about the real world and limitation as I mentioned ( i dont have those knowledge at any level), I was suspicious that it might be a bug or i might be wrong and basically it behave as it should be. then buddy lasing would be extremely difficult in tense environment without prebrief targets or moving vehicles

I do confirm, we were a flight of two hornet, laser code checked before every single attack at least double times, it was a success IF the designated point by laser and Auto(CCRP) had a difference about 300 to 500 feet, but we tested again two hornets in the close formation (not in this tacview) and it failed again, seems the GBU cant track if the designated point and calculated point has distance more than 1000feet . we tested with opposite bearing as well ( i dont have a technical knowledge about laser beam and limitations, it was just a test, I am, not sure even that would be possible in real world) and it failed as well. it used to work in DCS back to early 2019, however currently with more than 1000 feet differentiation the GBU would not find laser

As the title says seems the buddy lasing only works if the the bomber and lasing buddy point with a few feet differences, In the tacview the tank is the reference point not a target. Negative, you need to read more, thats a fake name claimed 45 years ago however its persian gulf since 200BC ! i will not discuss on politics here, there is not such name as arabian gulf; give you an example, imagine the UK call the Norwegian Sea as British Sea for 40 years from tomorrow! or Russia start calling Gulf of Finland by gulf of Russia ! and 45 years after wikipedia open a page as British Sea or Gulf of Russia! We (People) will respect your history and call it as it was with original name (perhaps not as you call in Norwegian or Finish but for us will remain as it was); I am sure you know wikipedia is not an academic resource/references as anyone can edit and open a page or claim! We got part of it in Syria, but it is important we get Bushehr, Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz as part of Iran while we get west of Iraq in Syria Map and Whole Iraq in extended PG map Isfahan is the home of Tomcats Tabriz, Hamedan, Bushehr, Ahwaz .. was the main home of the Tigers and Phantoms during Iran-Iraq war

I wish instead of beautiful building in UEA and south of persian gulf, we would have modeled environments, mountain, river ... in the west and south west of iran as well as Iraq, Kuwait ... I do really hope ED can work on it as PersianGulf 2nd version or extended version. we had conflict in this region for over 100 years (Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon...) ! instead we got UEA which never involved in any conflict since declared as country in last 50/60 years!

the south of iran often has only 1 or 2 seasons, hot and humid or hot humid with heavy rain (tropical), and rivers are usually full of water in the south part of Iran example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minab_River Minab is a good example of a river which should not be dry in the Map. I am not agree with you Gierasimov , some of them get dry in last decade due to some wrong management and build dam, but most of the rivers still have water ! and its very depending on season, as an example, most of the river in the south part of iran has water, I will try to come with some research and available resources
