I remember the overblown news stories too. There was a patent troll for "rumble", but even that wasn't enough to stop the proliferation of rumble pads. FF was due to being a "niche within a niche", and partly because the technology wasn't quite good enough yet. If the market had been there, all anyone had to do was talk to Microsoft.

Lack of demand killed the FF joystick. Nothing to do with patent licensing. M$ held the FF joystick patent, and they didn’t care about trying to troll it.

I liked the early days Grim Reapers more. Yes, if anything they're actually "more professional" now, but back then, it was mostly about a group of guys/gals having fun. I'm nonplussed by the people criticizing them over that. Too realistic, and it becomes like a job. There are plenty of groups/streamers available if by the book, ultra-realism is what one's looking for.

Well the use of the commas in this case implies that all three versions will be AI only, otherwise the last one would be a semi-colon. But here’s the thing: remember how the BO-105 has been slated to be a flyable model (on again/off again) for years now? And why show the cockpit if it’s AI only?
