  1. This is what happens when you don't respect your flight crew.
  2. I had some fun making this one. Also in the description is a link to the raw CTRL+f1 footage if the dramatic thing isn't for you. FYI very mild language warning.

  3. Because I seem to have a lot of time on my hands FYI very mild language warning. Also note there is a link in the description for the raw CTRL F1 footage is this production thing isn't for you. It is still going to be a ridiculous flight but no music or dramatic cuts

  4. It is being released in 3 hours from the time of this post so it does not appear to be vaporware. It does look very arcade like though and not for me. Thanks for the heads up,
  5. None here, pretty happy with it to be honest.
  6. I was up late one night dead tired and not thinking straight when I noticed I had the option so I clicked YES. I live on the edge. I wondered if I just screwed up royally but I have had it installed for 2 or 3 days now and so far I love it. The first thing I did was uninstall Teams so that might be the winner right there as to me Teams is worse than death. I hated it at work, no way do I want it at home. It appears to be gone so I am happy. I really love the as many as you want desktops as I like to do video editing (I had 5 open) and that for me is the most outstanding thing but just all over I like it. A few things were like wtf until I found the new way but all in all no way would I go back to 10. The centered task bar went from wtf to I love it in a day. Same with everything else... so far. Man I even like the notification tones. Very mellow instead of the last ones which were to me more irritating then a peaceful notification. I also have had no problems at all in VR and DCS at all. In fact I flew and produced Hold My beer with it and that's where I fell in love with all these desktops I can have now. I don't have multiple monitors anymore, just a 50 inch LCD. Maybe my system spec have something to do with it but my rig is hardly state of the art. Not a pig either but this is it. ROG Strix 2080Ti Intel Core i9 9900K Processor @ 3.60GHz Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master Motherboard G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 Oculus Rift S. I did have a couple of problems. I had XMP running when it restarted. Something didn't like what was going on so the bios reset... turning off the TMP setting or I should say resetting them to default... which is off. So it rebooted and then failed and reverted the install because my machine was no longer compatible. FFS. Loaded optimized defaults and turned on the TMP stuff again. I thought I was going to have to go through the download but it just installed, rebooted. No problems since. The second was renaming file names or editing the credit roll in that video. It lagged and you could go get a cup of coffee pretty much waiting for it to catch up. I have not had that problem again though so not real sure what the go was there. All up, love it. Some tips in here I found interesting.
  7. There was one of these (Video Thread) in the Huey section and I can't see one here so I just made one I was watching a video made by the Grim Reapers and it never occurred to that the sees in DCS could be made rough. This is apparently as rough as it can get and it turned out to be a lot of fun and if you don't rip it to pieces the Blackshark can handle it.

  8. This one is my fiancees literally first ever flight in a rotor craft. Here experience before this was a DCS P51 and a Yak 52 so I was expecting a different ending. This one is me flying but there is several minutes of monologue in it explaining what Cervical Dystonia is. I made it for a support group/online friends and it attempts to show as best as possible what this condition is like using a VR perspective as it tracks head movement precisely. Please note only my head shakes like it does in the video. My eyes and brain somehow compensate for it and allow me to fly but it is physically demanding. At the end I fly around and show I still can fly. It is however much better than it was at the beginning of this year before I started getting treatment. You don't know how much you'll miss this game until you can't play it so it is great to be flying again. Watch this one if you want to skip the horror show and just see the flight
  9. Yep very first time. I had her sit in mine and gave her an overview of how it all worked and a demo so she could see what the controls actually did. She then got in hers then we went through all the controls again as I have set hers up the same as mine. She has a P51 and a Yak 52 which I taught her to fly in so this was also the very first time she had to fly with the power reversed as well as being the first rotor craft. We push the throttle for power in the planes and we pull for collective and power in the choppers. ... and she thought she did badly.
  10. Where is a good fireball when you want one?
  11. Really well done, thanks.
  12. This is the external video of the flight from the original video that is linked above. Removed is the 7 minute explanation of Cervical Dystonia and all its shits and giggles and also removed is the VR view that can make some people a little on the Nauseous side. This is simply the flight.
  13. I use a Warthog setup but I use it in the opposite way to the planes. Ie Throttle up in a plane is push forward. Throttle up in a chopper is pull backwards. I use the left half as the throttle and the right as the collective as this seems to make sense in my mind while playing. Raise a collective up, pull a collective back works out the same in my head and I have no issues when hoping in planes. It is also helpful for me to rest the left side of my hand on the throttle which allows my fingers to have much finer control of the collective.
  14. Hey all. It's been a long time since I have posted in these forums much but things come and go. I have plenty of time on my hands atm so it looks like things have come back full circle and I have been enjoying DCS again. The funny thing is earlier this year I was flat out getting down the hall and sleep came only when I was completely exhausted. I had been lucky enough to be struck down with Cervical Dystonia. Yeah I had never heard of it either. I never thought I would do many things again, DCS being just one of those things but a year of treatment and I am finding I am able to get bye. I did some videos of my DCS shenanigans a decade or so ago but this one is a little different. A VR headset tracks ones head very precisely so I figured I could show one of the effects of CV, how I work around it, the power of the brain and eyes to compensate and have some fun in a Huey at the same time as well as show of some off some shots of that pretty carrier Heat Blur gave us (Thanks guys). Anyway here's the vid. Not looking for tears, just a bit of education and a chance to show I can still fly despite this BS. Life's what you make of it and how much fun you can have in a simulator
  15. This worked for me as well.
  16. I welded a comfortable car seat to the base of an office chair. Reclines, moves, comfortable for hours.
  17. In my case i removed the steam folder from Malwarebytes supervision and problem gone. Not been an issue until now.
  18. This thread may be related. Both of these threads describe my issues. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249556
  19. Similar symptoms here. It could be related to this as well. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249533
  20. No worries Jimmy. Right at this point in time I can connect both to the web page and the login server.
  21. Different problem in this case mate. For example the following link times out... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ ...unless I use VPN. Curiously enough this one now works... http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ which it didn't before but still can not log into the game without VPN.
  22. Heh I thought I was seeing things.
