Nah that might be a bit extreme, I had an 8800gt. Bought a gtx260 and noticed a definite and worthwhile improvement. I can't give you the figures now but I was happy. Not world shattering mind you but it would be a cold day in hell before I put the 8800gt back in :) This sim is more reliant on CPU but doesn't mean a decent graphics card is out of the question. I have heard SLI makes near enough to no difference to matter but 8800gt to a 260 or 280gtx sure does. At least on my system it did at any rate.

Helmet with the traking clip
Shrubbo replied to Namenlos Ein's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The look I got from my wife when I showed her that almost guarantied I would look into this further.... Why settle for a pushbike helmet when you can go hardcore ubber geek I say :D http://www.soldsmart.com.au/l3.aspx?goods=AH0070BK So far I am thinking about just buying the trackclip pro as it would be far less hassle then building one but the main objective of this project will be to see the look on the wife's face when this little gem turns up hahah, seriously as if she can laugh.... she has a wii ffs. -
Thanks for the link, that was interesting to look at.

Well there you go. Pitty they have some real nice stuff.

Screw that, just stick it on top of the beetle like they were going to. That was in fact a photo from a top secret development project for a stealth urban assault vehicle. Rumor has it that the first test firing was technically a success because the gun did fire but was deemed a failure for the same reason. It was ridiculous that such an awesome project was canceled. Clearly the VW just needed that awesome porche type flare kit that was also developed for it but never got to the testing stage after the horror of the first firing. What you thought that body kit was developed just for it awesome good looks?

No no, you misunderstand. It is purely a union thing8)

You sure deadman? The reason I ask is they sell "Desktop Controllers". http://hirevsims.com/06hwdi/f15e01.jpg http://hirevsims.com/06hwdi/seats/A10st.jpg I could see them being ubber (way way way) pricey but not something governments would be looking to buy. Heh I have been wrong before tho. See if you can buy me one ! :D

Ok I have been working on this just about every Saturday and can now say that I seem to be able to weld :D Every week the front end has been cut of, modified and welded back in place. I think it is near perfect for what I want it to do (everything). The position of the desk parts has been changed (lowered, brough backwards) and the left control pad (Throttle) has been shortened making getting in and out easier. There is just one 10mm bolt holding the table in place now that screws into a captured nut and the table does not move at all. (Laugh look at the 2x2 steel tubing hahah, meh it's free.. just heavy. Carrying this from the shed to the house is death!) The foot area has been raised, brought back a bit and lengthened considerably to allow flexibility. There is still some things that need to be done to the chair assembly (Cable managment, cleanup, pain etc) but I am happy to say (omg so happy, the hours in this thing is retarded) I think I have nearly finished the chair design so I have started work on Part B. Part B is the monitor/pc/speaker/holdeverythingelse bit. It will eventually be on wheels as well. The plan is for this to be able to move out into the living areas when I host a lan and to be able to be put back in the bedroom in 5 minutes when I am done. The chair section will contain - seat, all controls, USB hub, Buttkicker. The Stand section will contain - Monitors, PC, amps etc all isolated from the vibrations. Basicaly the chair section docks into the monitor section. Discontect 3 or 4 plugs and then just roll them up the hall. Plug back in 3 or 4 plugs when docked. Connect to power/phone/antenna ... and play. 5 minutes max if I am really tired after a big lan.

I would think something is wrong there, it appears that he has a better system then me (Certainly faster cpu and gfx, 3ghz duel core, 260 gtx oc) and I get much better fps running @ 4320x900. I am running vista tho with both cores running (affinity script)

Clunk!Clunk!Clunk!Clunk!Clunk!Clunk! hahah Then things got advanced and the 5 buttons had a cord so you could keep your fat ass on the lounge... omg technology. Anyone remember the shrinking white dot after station close ?:D

I am going to do a review on a new sports car. It looks similar to the others but god there has been a lot of work put in to how it drives. State of the art in cars! I don't have much time so I will have to skimp a bit, in fact I don't have time to get a license to drive a manual and learn where to put the key so it will be Chauffeur driven and I'll just tell him what way to turn and when to honk the horn. I will then score this.

I nearly ejected a popular soft drink out my nose when I read that:megalol: BTW I "invert", I don't think it was for any other reason that it made more sense to me that way. I never considered it power else I would have probably got things confused. Collective to me has just always been pull. So up or towards the pulling action stays the same... thus invert was the go for me.

Do tell, it may help others.

lolz, sadly I must say no. In fact that pic is a couple of weeks old and the belt clip was removed not long after that. You see it is a right hand seat but I get into it from the left hand side. I can confirm that once you shove a seat belt clip up your ass you go to great lengths to ensure that doesn't happen again ;) In fact here was last weeks effort. Old table support cut off, foot area extended as well as brought backwards, Throttle "pad" shortend, Table height lowered and also moved backwards and some serious overkill bracing added. But when the material is free who cares :D

That reminds me of the video of the guy that wanted to test how many G's the body could take and they wouldn't let anyone test it and he couldn't use animals... so he went himself... old racoon eyes hahah hardcore.

Are my rudder pedals causing trimmer to not stay on?

Hahah I beat you Acedy to the correct answer by pure, unadulterated luck, coincidence and circumstance :D
