  1. Sorry... but I have to #facepalm... Send a message out into the world saying you're going to sell them seperately, with an estimated timeline -> Great! Especially the TMWH based base for me personally. But, months later (after total silence and only several requests for *any* update, be it positive or negative) it appears one has to contact the sales dept seperately to get one, because it's not shown on the website because "certain reasons"? Creeping timeline I can understand. But the (total) silence and lack of any mention on the webstore I can't. Maybe it's just me, but why the hell not advertise it? Don't you want to sell your products? I understand it's a niche market... But if you advertise all your products and options, together with any necessary disclaimer regarding delivery times, .... , why wouldn't you? Or am I missing something?
  2. Hi, Is any info known on when the T-50CM2 base will be available? Or when it'll be shipped approximately when ordered? Cheers,
  3. I use the square, specifically because I don't have to guess where the outmost corners are. I.e. I want to go up & left, I can just push it in the corner.
  4. Are you -sure- you're engines are at full idle? Because they seem from the gauges to be just above idle for me.
  5. Agreed! Giving the option is the absolute best solution for this. This caters to the needs of people who just want to get in and fly and people who want the whole shabang. I do understand that it would be more maintanance for the mission designer if the choice would be available. Personally, if a campaign (or mission) has hotstart or runway/cat-start, I won't bother. Unless it's a airquake-type/fun mission off course.
  6. I feel you. By using hot-start and runway/cat-start, by default the people who want to do cold-start are left in the dark. DCS has the absolutely wonderful feature of having auto-start sequences for each aircraft. If timing is critical, it's no different for a mission/campaign designer to instead 'time' this off the auto-start sequence with some leeway added. If it's a quick/fun type mission I totally get the hotstart in any situation. But with a 'serious' mission or campaign, I don't see why hotstarts are used.
  7. Ok WOW! now this I'm seriously interested in!!! The one gripe with the TMWH I have is the stick base... So this seems like a great update! Question: will an extension also be purchaseable from VKB for this?
  8. Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to set limited stores to a (super)carrier? I'm designing a mission where I want to limit long-range A-A missiles. Off course the starting loadout will have no such weapons, but I want to prevent the smartass to just reload with modern weapons. For airports/FARP's this can be done with warehouses, but I'm unable to find it for the (super)carrier? Does anyone know? Or an alternative? Ta, Lukas
  9. Yes I have noticed and it's awesome! Heavy turning causes rotor clapping which (logically) completely drowns out any other noise. Love it! So good for (my) immersion.
  10. I remember that one! As a small boy I used to 'play' that a lot on my dad's computer! Was absolutely/most fascinated by the cockpit opening and closing LOL! :D:pilotfly:
  11. Aye - started getting into flight sim's in the early days of LOMAC. Quite quickly joined 9th Shrek Squadron, I think I was 14 at the time... :P
  12. Fair enough - to each their own off course :) Just doesn't compute in my upstairs area :P (I swap it multiple times per session of flying...)
  13. Swapping out the detent takes 20 seconds... Why would you sacrifice a significant portion of your throttle throw to save this time?
  14. Saying "it just doesn't work" doesn't really say anything... There are plenty of requirements for the auto-hover to function properly. Best way is to post a track here for someone to take a look at, or a video recording.
  15. +14 million! DCS does find/index/... the available audio output devices on your system.
  16. The launch tubes are parallel to the center line of the helo. Say you're pointing straight at your target, and you launch your missile, it will make an "S-curve" to capture the laser, losing some of it's energy. This is the case in a salvo launch. The maximum range will be slightly less than a single Vikhr launch. In a single Vikhr launch, you slightly tilt your "launch platform" to make it intercept the laser beam, by nature of throwing the missile into the intercept path, thus making the launch slightly (for lack of a better worde) "better". You lose a little less energy in capturing the beam. This only really becomes relevant/important at the maximum range.
  17. That could actually be fairly straightforward. As soon as you 'exit' the aircraft, the cockpit state is saved in a .ini file (or whatever...) and reloaded as soon as you get into that same aircraft (if it's set to cold & dark obviously).
  18. Even more so, if you're clean you need to brake a lot to not overspeed ;-)
  19. Updated the first post with both curves from Home Fries and my current one.
  20. Mine doesn't ... It's not outlandish. What I'm interested in, is how it works in the real jet. As far as I know (and this is ónly based on experience with the other F-16 sim), the parking brake would disengage automatically at (IIRC) ~80% RPM. This would make sense to me, because if running higher power, you'd risk skidding the jet, with all relevant consequences. All other jet's we have in DCS with a P-brake, you have to disengage yourself: it doesn't automatically disengage. A) I understand that. To add: I'm really enjoying the F-16, (even) in it's current state. I'm not slating it, nor it's development. What I am saying/questioning is: is how it's currently implemented (i.e. at the slightest throttle increase, the P-brake disengages) correct? If so, great! Move on (as you say :) ). If it's not (because it was wrongly misinterpreted, known/WIP, bugged, ...), let ED fix/implement it correctly. If it's already reported/acknowledged/under investigation/WIP: great! Move on, we'll see it in the sim eventually. If so, I wasn't aware. B) Ok! Great!
  21. You wouldn't. But what aircraft do you know that automatically disengages the parking brake? (at all, let alone at a set RPM/throttle setting) The parking brake is specifically there so you can set it to engage and not have to worry about holding the brakes.
  22. In my experience the slightest movement forward on the throttle will disengage the parking brake. I'll create a track later today when I'm back home.
