  1. I have 2 or 3 mods I'd like to include, I've tried putting the files together in one folder and adding the extra lines from the description.lua but no good. How is this done? Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries Thank you.
  2. I know how to take snap shots...how do you video record say...15 seconds of a flight?
  3. Is this where the .trk that you want is stored as I don't auto save these files? Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks\Multiplayer
  4. Good to know but that leaves the bigger long standing question about when the weather engine will be released...thanks for the update.
  5. I've noticed sometimes the TACAN does not count down the distance on HUD, the distance number is frozen. You need to reset it and it eventually it will start counting down distance to carrier, tanker etc.
  6. I tried attaching the files here but they were too large...this is the link to the user files where I originally got it. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/index.php?PER_PAGE=100&set_filter=Y&arrFilter_pf[filetype]=5&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=313&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=FA-18C-CPT-TEXTURES&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&del_filter=Reset
  7. In keeping with authenticity...thanks for the info!
  8. I see lots of vapor trail affects for the F/A-18 but has anyone seen a supersonic plume for the F/A-18? Thank you.
  9. It's more about the amount of OSB presses required to get to the first MK point not the last. You can get to MK#1 by either cycling forward waypoints 1-59, the long way, or cycling waypoint 0 down to MK#1...in any case it requires too many presses to get to #1 MK point.
  10. Looking to reduce the many presses on the OSB in order to get to MK#1...is there a shortcut key that would allow by-passing OSB presses 9 though 2?
  11. On the HSI OSB 13, reviewing stored MK points seems more logical to have the numbers count up from 1-9 rather than 9-1. Is the current order correct? Thank you.
  12. Now I'm starting to see the connection timed out occurs as a result of the server going offline and resetting.
  13. Thanks for the follow-up...any mention as to when/if?
  14. Thanks for the answer. Also has the onboard jammer been implemented yet?
  15. When the course select line is enabled it removes the command heading mark on the HUD [just below the compass]. Disabling the course select line allows the command heading mark to re-appear. Is this normal? Thank you.
  16. QoS is on by default...the issue is with Aerobatics online servers, don't have this issue with others.
  17. Sat x & y @ 100 you may want to have a slight user curve try 5-15.
  18. No, I removed the centre spring...it's a must to get the full smooth feel of the stick movement. You can thread a needle with the refuel probe. Paulin 7/16 X 3 1/8E Utility Spring Model # 311-626|Store SKU # 1000127107 This is a finely wound spring that allows for a softer smooth constant load on the stick from centre to full range. As has already been mentioned, re-calibrate the stick whenever you do any spring adjustment.
  19. Yes it is a great mod...BTW it allows the speed brake to stay up even when the flaps are engaged.
  20. I've used Saitek/Logitech very successfully from X-52 - X56 without a problem. I've used it to map the software to the keyboard with lots of macros making it very convenient for the HOTAS. I've also used the X-52 - X56 to map directly into the DCS/controls page with equal success. You must do what Dudifoff mentioned, start by clearing any commands auto-mapped to your HOTAS by DCS. I found the new Logitech software excellent choice in conjunction with mapping directly to your DCS/controls making sure there are no double mapping conflicts.
  21. Please note 2.13.4.1.2 below from NATOPS 2.13.4.1.1 Brightness Selector Knob. Placing this rotary knob to OFF prevents the indicator from operating. Placing the knob to NIGHT provides a lower brightness control range (with three settings) and no automatic contrast control. The knob in the AUTO position allows automatic brightness control circuits to compensate display brightness for changes in ambient lighting. Turning the knob to DAY provides a higher brightness control range with no automatic contrast control. 2.13.4.1.2 Brightness Control. This knob varies the intensity of the presentation.
  22. What's being said here seems strange. The AMPCD brightness can only work when the AMPCD map is turned off. After making the brightness changes with the map off, when enabling the map again the brightness appears not to have changed. And this is by design because the map brightness will only react to ambient light not to the brightness knob? This seems counter intuitive since the AMPCD is map specific and ambient lighting is constantly changing which means sometimes I can make out the map and sometimes not.
  23. The server is Aerobatics online open beta.
  24. Yes I had noticed that a little while ago...it helps but would still like the brightness fix.
