  1. gonna be pretty boring if its all water, wow lovely scenery, look another wave :)
  2. really, didn't realise there would be a difference in the stick you own. makes sense now how we all do it different, wonder why the hardware makes a difference in game?
  3. not at all, down allows you to keep stick back to gain momentum, stops the bird going up to soon and "ballooning, and allows you to push forward onto 2 wheels to gain speed, no coxing needed, see the runway and take-off smoothly, but of course each to their own :)
  4. indeed, as I am landing I trim up to keep her straight an have less movement on the stick. once landed after flaps n gear down, it will be near that position, so its like when you get in again that's where it would be
  5. I believe its in the same place
  6. the unit itself, the pilot gets enough vibration :)
  7. ok, having a hard timing reading as on my phone with cracked screen sorry, but I see no mention of the pilots brake, down on the floor? a lot of steps there are necessary really, I'm sure there's a training section on starting the 8 on dcs?
  8. Russian engineering, the newer 8s use a different system SO-121VM its a vibrating one !!
  9. I go 1 notch down, which I believe is standard for takeoff

  11. ok sorry, mis read, let us know your steps to start, pilot brake on right floor, ceiling brake, apu start switch to left engine and switch to crank, all right side breakers up, extinguisher on both bat switches, ah forgot name switches behind co pilot bottom right up, fuel on all 4 (not in order but )
  12. yes my mistake its the RIO-3
  13. I never use auto for anything, but, if you got the it one running up ok, the its exact same procedure for the 2nd engine, so I guess you just missed a switch like flipping the crank over to other side or something
  14. oh I thought it was the pitot :)
  15. are they in the right folders? did they work before the update? which ones aren't working? maybe I have one and we can see?
  16. where? in which folder you mean? never moved them, they are either added via OVGME or into the respective save game folder
  17. all my mods work fine
  18. Well, hadn't played the old girl for ages, and thought why not have a good again. Maybe the new 2.5 has fixed a few things as even my dreaded slew bug has gone, wow I can target stuff again! Obviously we still have the light n other probs, but give her a go again and see if it's changed for you, it just might be fun again. I wonder sometimes if as we know a module so we'll we find a lot of probs, but after a break it seems fun again. Be interesting if you find the same
  19. ams999 ill try this too later, hope it works, I hated it, as said looks arcady
  20. and why not :) it makes the gun sight a little less.......new
  21. been using for a while, thank you
  22. dam that's a cool little mod, great find and thanks to the Author
  23. thank you guys, I use a warthog stick n throttle set up, it hold the 1100 ok, I couldn't find a separate brake settings so you need to brake but use rudder as well which activates the brakes for that side.....or have I completely missed a settings somewhere
  24. lol, so this is spilling over to 3 threads now
  25. well, I have mastered the snake technique! that is I weave down any surface left and right, unable to stay straight, flight, even landings are ok, but taxiing seems to be a curse! any advice to keep her straight? I head for example left, add the brake with right rudder and she will just veer right, if I don't add enough she continues left. is there a way you need to lock the tailwheel?
