  2. landing question,...from u-tube vids/the manual, etc the landing procedures seem to vary quite a lot, even from the tutorial to the manual, one thing I'm a bit puzzled over is the fact that manual and tutorial say to put rpm at 2700, and keep (forgot exact number) manifold around 30/35. the only way I found to do that is not explained anywhere, but to lock the rpm lever as otherwise the rpm/manifold are connected. my landings are getting better now not using this way but a controlled decent with full flaps and gear on downward glide scope, a way the reapers do it. manual again is different referring to flap use. 1. is there an updated or better manual? 2. how do you guys land?
  3. guys, not sure what I'm doing wrong, put it on the runway hot start so its not procedure, tootle off down the line, as soon as I rotate it explodes? AI do it fine....dam bots
  4. think its always done that, but then I sit so stable I never use it :) to me its a pain to use I like my copter to move when I want it to, and its as easy as anything just use rudder left n right

  7. is there a way I can buy a campaign I haven't got the terrain for? I could buy then on discount and later after xmas buy the terrain? would like to pick up Charnwood but haven't Normandy and assets yet

  10. after every update, stuff is replaced, just use OVGME and use that to re install after update

  12. well I understand your given a warning to say for instance you cant use this campaign because you haven't got Normandy. but I feel its a shame I cant buy Charnwood etc even with the warning, so later when I have Normandy I can use it

I'm using Skulls huey sound mod which is ace, but wanted to use another one for the P-51, when I try and activate it on OVGME it gives me a warning that it will overwrite some of the huey sound files, so I don't do it. is it ok to overwrite them or will it ruin one or the other, seems strange two completely different modules share files?
  18. having flown the T version quite a bit recently and with the sale on, I decided to get the P-51. wow, what a difference, is a different flight model? doing the same take-offs with rudder trim she still moves a lot. power is better though and the gauges and switches all work which is nice :) also as I think we have a new model now than the old one, from the videos I watched on the pipper gyro, its all in a different place, any way lovely plane
  19. that's the way that version of trim is supposed to work, you trim and let go of stick for it to re center, that or the default is usually easiest, I just tried and all working as should
  20. my apologies didn't look in your sig, you have 16gb, well in that case try deleting metashaders and fxo folders, as then dcs will rebuild those settings, is worth doing when it updates sometimes. I always save the folders first on desktop till you have run the game once......just in case. they are found in your savegame folder
