what did i have to lose, its free to try at the moment, still i avoided it, silly little thing. went to make a cuppa and thought hey why not, soooo started the download really not expecting a thing. no training so thought can be that hard to take off, i fly all the warbirds..............................as you can guess, i got a job cutting the runway grass before i torched the control tower! right 2nd go, lets do Air to Air, got a 109, that's when it started. throttle to full and..............hang on this thing turn on itself, i even flew round a block of flats full on, the grin started! up into the sky to get that 109, he wont out turn this, well he had a good go, but a long lead and massive firepower from the 16, with no training i offed my first kill, must be a fluked, nope, 3 more followed, the grin was now a big smile, and talking/shouting to myself over headphones of ''this thing is stupidly good fun!!'' next, the convoy mission, brilliant weather, wouldn't take a dog out in that let alone fly a crate with an engine, but it all ended the same for the poor out matched enemy, all dead. gotta say, dev, please update/do stuff whatever with this plane, as it is its probably the most fun plane in DCS, that can be flown with a huge grin. keybindings for some reason are all duplicated and fill in with about every button duplicated 4 times, so did take some messing with. but cmon, if you havent tried this give it a go, its cheap as 4 cups of coffee in costa at the moment, and sure as hell is a lot more fun oh and if anyone one is reading this can make some more skins and missions....ill buy you a coffee oops, just realized i put this in wrong thread sorry
-
oh didn't know that was possible, i was only using one type anyway as that's the limitation of the aircraft electronics, i fly the viggen so no stranger to low n fast vastly different but it feels like an old F16 to fly, very stable but precise, think ill grab it anyway, cheers for the input guys

Working on the F-86 SABRE Key binds from a blank slate.
thrustvector replied to jmburnzy's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
well it is separate, as you save each one in a diff name till you find one you like best, that what you mean? -
oo no but i will have now thanks

can someone point me to the manuals, most up to date, and also is there a chucks guide? cheers
-
i already have this for the mi8, but i dont for the gazelle, in the DCS game window it says 2.99, but when i go into the store it says 14.99? im sure im overlooking the obvious here?
-
i can if no one else does later in week, im away ATM, it does it on every mission, no warnings i can see, it sounds like a deep heatbeat/muffled flameout buts its not,
-
might pick this up in the sale, but i mainly a ground pounder so whats it like it that role, or possibility of wildweasel for example?
-
dam this isnt as easy as it looks, i tend to roll over take aim then when on tgt uncage, but it still jumps around like a grasshoper on speed :). i set it at 30/35 deg, but to be honest have had better luck diving at a shallower angle and staying caged, so whats the knack?
-
I thought I did but will check later thanks
-
this happens in stable level flight, from both seats, not the AB, glad im not the only one to hear it
-
mmm, just trying her out, but im having same prob, i fly the spit/p51 etc so have a good idea on ww2 birds, but it just like missfires all the way, wont go over the 200/250 speed. flaps/gear up, cowl down, mags on/ etc but just jitters all the way, even done all the training which was no diff than i have done? ideas?

after just downloading for a free demo so to speak, just wondered what this was, flying, and all i hear is a constant thump, its almost like a heartbeat, muffled?
-

still love this old bird
thrustvector replied to thrustvector's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
wow, crikey yes i see, think i do it about the the same or a bit less, makes it so stable, just need to reset sometimes if you go too far or land etc. thanks for the vid -
i was just looking through hours spent on diff modules, i know i fly the 8 regular, but surprised how many i have on her. recently it seems a few under bonnet changes have crept in as she seems far more stable, but then i have a habit of continually trimming as i fly, maybe excessive by some standards and maybe its just that, but just wanted to say thanks for a great long lasting module

ah I see, thanks for the info, yes I did stray a few times had a very demanding cat on my lap, so attention strayed still love the way it strives for the realism, over that one now anyway. great job on this one mate
