  1. Ok. As far as I'm just flying with the french liveries, I couldn't noticed it.
  2. Hi just tested his skins, works perfectly. Just the Phimat pod has no longer his color changed.
  3. Hi I can't figure why my mods is crashing DCS sine the latest update. Here is the log, if someone can help me? dcs.log-20240711-213616.zip
  4. Reverse question, how to start with the launcher if you once disabled it
  5. Yes. It is, as the cause is external of DCS core.
  6. Here a screen from DCS page and from DCS directly Maybe the french news aren't updated since 2021... After check on the english page, in fact it's up to date. I also checked the other langanges, spanish latest update is from 2022.
  7. Hi I just noticed that the news in DCS are outdated. In fact it's from june 18th 2021... Could it be possible to keep it up to date? Thanks
  8. Hi I've noticed that the turboprop aircrafts makes some strange sound Digital Combat Simulator Black Shark 2024.07.02 - 11.50.02.01.mp4 Tried repair, but same thing. Any idea, how to fix it? Edit: after a deep investigation, it seem that it comes from the ECHO19 Core ultimate.
  9. Hi I just noticed that some keyboard commands are broken. The battery is no longer switching on with the LCTL+LALT+B. I've tested it with my Warthog and directly on the keyboard. Despiste the fact that in the command menu they react correctly. Same for the starter button. Pressing U just close the safety cover... I didn't check all the functions, but most of them works fine.
  10. If you're working on a livery from an existing mod, you have no choice. You can't modify the place of the parts, as the parts of the mod uses the texture file as it is. So as Wyvern told you, you can only work on the existing texture, and make it as realistic as possible.
  11. Can you share the lua file where the lights are in? So I can take a look. As said above, by setting the intensity_max = 0 in the lua file, the pink light disappear. You didn't tell me if you are using 3DSmax or blender for your mod. Here an example for the taxi light in 3DS The default argument used is 209 (208 for the landing light), as you can see it's a target spot. You have to set the color and the multiplier in directly in 3DS. Then setup tthe visibilty argument like that After what, you have to set the mulitplier, so your light lights up gradually. If you set the multiplier of the target spot to 2 for example, then you must start the curve at -2 (at step 0), and finish at 0 at the step 100. In my case, I set it up to 4.5 but it was to bright, so I ended it at -2.4.
  12. In fact, but the post is a good guide to start roughmet maps. I used it too. Your concrete example are the best to see the roughmet map results. On my side, I tried to give extreme examples on my learning mod to show him how the roughmet affects the appearance. Modding and texturing can be a real challenge when there is no real complete tutorial. The F-104 example is mostly outdated now. And the 3D creating isn't easy either if you know how. The most difficult thing is to find all information you need to bring your mod alive and debugged. I shared some informations here, while discovering how to animate correctly lights for example. And this by observing the M2000 in the EDM. Sometimes it's a real headbreaker to achieve some actions. And unfortunately it seems that most of the talented modder won't share with newbies. And finding the correct information here isn't almost easy. I spent several time through all page after having made a research to find a part or the complete information for what I was looking for. It's not a reproach, but only an observation. Maybe in July, if I have time, I will share my own little experience on tutorial, so new modder could find easely the answer of their questions.
  13. I've already posted the link on the first page of this post. Seems that tripod didn't saw it
  14. Today I crossed a VBCI, I think, loaded on a truck in Colmar (France) with a livery like this
  15. As said above by other, it seems to be the normals of the wing that are inverted. If confirmed, there is nothing you can do.
  16. Ok, I better undertstand why you work only with green and blue channel.
  17. Interesting method, in fact. On my side, I'm using the RGB cursors to setup the color.
  18. I don't know this method. I discovered roughmet material few months ago. If you can explain me or if you have a link for a tutorial. So I can take a look.
  19. here an example. The roughmet pattern has at top left (green will be always at 0%) Red:100% , Blue: 30%, then top right, Red:100%, blue 60%, bottom left, Red: 85%, Blue: 100%, and bottom right, Red: 100%. here the result in the model viewer (caucasus display) And now ingame I just took a look, and saw that the texture on the right side where inverted. So I just took some screens of the left side, so the roughmet matches with the sreens. Best result in my mind is the 100% red. As you can see, the more blue you put, blurrier is the reflection.
  20. But in the Model viewer, there are not as representative as in the game in my mind.
  21. Hi Following this post since a moment, having being in the same situation, I want to add some information. I've made some test for you on my test model so you can see how the roughmet texture color influence the appearance of the model. as you can see the rectangle of the right of the roughmet texture gives the appearance of the damper. So with full red, it look blurred. Below you can see an in game sreenshot. With full blue it's really glossy but doesn't reflect any kind of environment, except the lights. in game screen full green gives you a very mate appearance, without any reflection. In game In your case, as said above by other guys, you have to try with pink/purple colors to find which one is the best for you. But don't expect to have a real mirror. I don't think DCS is able to reflect the real full environment. Here are 2 examples with pink and purple roughmet texture first the pink one (100% red, 100% blue and 0% green) ingame now purple (100% red, 60%blue and 0% green) and ingame I don't know if you're using gimp or other software. But feel free to try, and export your roughmet texture to your model and test it directly in DCS. You only have to make a mission with your model, then start it look at the result quit the mission, then import your next texture and just click refly the mission, so you can look at the changes of your roughmet texture.
  22. In fact, this is great! Thanks guys.
