If you have plenty of time, unselect all effects, and try each, one by one. Otherwise, turn engine rumble down (20-30%), and make sure stall, G-effect and VRS are easily recognizable. Once I was able to feel the negative Gs when flying over wires with the Huey, but can´t replicate that setting anymore. Miniguns and door guns for Huey are a blast. I uncheck damage for all my airframes (weird vibrations after being shoot down). I´m off to work now, let me know if you need further info.

What HOTAS are you using?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Steel Jaw's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
did you mod your Cougar? what´s the issue? I´m reviving a second hand Cougar throttle unit with about $50 of Hall sensors and USB standalone conversion, sold by a user from this very same forum. Other than that, giving current Warthog price, I would consider some Virpil/VKB options. T16000 if you find a decent price too. -

You could use your VR headset for normal audio, and the motherboard built-in soundcard for telemetry, so no need to spend $10. Jetseat works on USB to read telemetry so you are good for that too. -

Hi guys, I want to modify an IKEA chair to resemble a bit more an ejection seat. I want to take out the seat base, fixed to the wheel axis with 4 screws, and install a bigger one, with the central cutout for stick mounting. Then padding the new wood base with some olive clothing and foam. Does anyone happen to have the measurements of base Mk14 seat? ACES II could be valid too. I´m not replicating a certain seat, just needing some inspiration.

That´s great, thank you. Just edited the first post, Saitek and one LeoBodnar are sold. Another LeoBodnar available yet. -
Hello people, I have been a happy T50 base user for two years now. I bought it second handed, so the base has several flight hours. I was wondering if it´s a good idea open it up and grease the cams with WD40 white litium grease. I saw Havoc files where a pic is showed explaining where to lube the cams, but it´s for more modern T50CM2 base.

Nugget Question: STEAM or Standalone???
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to GeneO's topic in New User Briefing Room
MAC is in development yet, I think. They were a bit silent about it. It´s not a nice time to buy, you just missed Black Friday Sales, and Xmas sales are hence around the corner (about 21-22nd december). So my advice is waiting for sales, meanwhile your new computer shows up. FC3 planes, with no clickable cockpit are somehow trickier, even though they have simple systems. If any aircraft you love in real life is on DCS, go directly for it. Steam got a bit different sales seasons, you also miss the ED miles program for discounts for further buyings. Other than that, it´s the same game. What´s your HOTAS? TrackIR? VR? What´s more, heads over Mudspike.com and look for Chuck Guides, they are like DCS modules manuals on steroides, so you can start learning modules or deciding which one you prefer most and take and quick glance of them -

By any chance, did you change the engine effect? I mean, is that effect variable depending on engine RPMs? -

Assuming a setting depending on your gpu. That setting may fit regular VR games, but not at all for dcs. Well beyond native resolution- 3421 replies

Try unstalling and installing Nvidia drivers before the format option.
