  1. Don't you mean, Faster than the speed of love? family guy fans?? anyone?
  2. Thanks! Only flown the bird for one day and I’m sure I was missing things.
  3. I’m not taking the Cat or Hornet near a arresting cable until I’m fairly competent with the bird.
  4. As I’m sure many if not all of you saw in the Hornet thread. What airfield will serve as your first point of departure and what music will accompany you in the air? I’m thinking I might use Kutasai since I’ve got all my planes set up for cold starts on a fall afternoon with some targets at the abandoned airfield on the coast. Clear skies with a little bit of a crossways headwind over the active runway, 26 I think it is. Thinking some Righteous Brothers.
  5. Nope, just speculation it seems.
  6. Tomcat takes +3 FOD MiG-29 takes -37 FOD
  7. I respectfully disagree with your respectful disagreement. The harrier is a good platform for learning the basics of modern ground attack, plus its fun to boot. Was learning Mavs and Tpods for the GBUs yesterday after I bought it. It’s good fun.
  8. This morning I got myself the AV-8, had to get something more modern than the F-5 To whet my appetite for ground striking in the lull before the Hornet drops. I’m so excited and loved my day learning to send Mavs and Gbu-16s on target, so teething problems with how to properly laze for myself but I got it figured out in the end. Can’t wait to fly some strike missions along side and in some Hornets soon. Love that sweet ground attack! Uhrah!
  9. But can you tell why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch? What percentage would you say you have left to go before we get the bird? I’m asking for a friend :)
  10. Wanna add a forth friend to that list? Hahaha I already bought the Horny bug though
  11. You’d never hear another plane two clicks out, not over your own engine. Maybe if they were right next to you, but I find even that suspicious. Maybe in jets you’d hear it if another jet was close.
  12. We don’t have the Hornet yet....
  13. I went there quite often when I was in flight school. Touched all the pretty birds! Even got back into the storage area on the old flight line in back. More pretty birds
  14. The National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pansacola, free to enter, has the last operational F-14. you can walk around and touch all her bits.
  15. Fat? That thing is sleek and sexy and has it were it counts ;) But seriously, the F4 is fat. And shooting things from say, beyond your usual range of vision? With maybe...an Aim54?
  16. Now that isn’t a good idea. Speed breaks makes sense. Just wish it had a switch like we see on the throttles in the cockpit with the center position
  17. I might try that Rusty, you had to do that In the Rhino program correct ?
  18. The NS 430 is planned for all aircraft that dont have their on GPS Nav system I believe. They are just starting with the MI-8 for now...I believe. Would be nice to have it for sure.
  19. Hey, has anyone been able to use the pinky wheel on the throttle at all? I can't even get it to zoom in/out in a way even close to as effective as just using standard buttons. Thanks for any help.
  20. I wouldn’t want them, not going to do that style of ground attack in a Tomcat. Bombing sure, but nothing low to the ground. Save that for the Tiger and Hornet
  21. do you mean the silver rotary?
  22. I have no idea honestly. Maybe dive into the options on the x55 programming application.
  23. Ill take up one or the other depending on what I’m doing frankly, CAP = Tomcat, Strike=Hornet
  24. Yeah, zero warning about IR missile lock or incoming.
  25. HB are, with animated deck crew, to what exact extent remains to be made public, but they look good so far given what little we’ve seen.
