I know I'll be getting Voice Attack and Viacom shortly haha From my understanding the Assisted Start up is available in all modes, since its jester going through the checklist with you, so it wouldn't make any sense to not have it available in MP as well. Though online I'm sure we will truncate our start ups to leave out the checks

I dont use single player for anything but some goofing off while learning an aircraft. So I want this new tool mostly so I don't have to change the settings for countermeasures on every single start up, its really annoying to have to go into those settings every time.

This is silly, you cannot properly employ the systems of the Tomcat solo from the front seat...it simply cannot be done. It would be like wanting to take a B-17 solo or a JU-88 in IL2 without the AI gunners. Its just not reasonable nor practical. whatever skill level Jester truly has is not really known yet, but it seems safe to assume theyve tried to model him as closely to a reasonably well trained yet flawed human RIO would be. It will be no more akin to cheating that the Reds having their datalink while no Nato planes have had it. Its a function of the module.

I just do not understand the level of butthurt, I mean seriously, they've never given a release date other than end of winter. They aren't doing what ED did, they aren't releasing something that is lacking seemingly 75% of it's functionality. We are getting something that is very nearly complete, with a whole second plane, an AI plane, basically 4/5 carriers, and two campaigns coming later. no broken promises or any misleading.

Don't confuse the number of planes for the number or player slots...you wont see a server with 60 people in 30 tomcats, or 60 in 60. That being said, the tomcat likely wont be any harder on servers than any other plane.

When in multiplayer you will not be able to move between the front and back seats.

I get that could be added to Iceman, seems simple enough.

They've already said yes, totally different control scheme.

Id rather ED not waste their time messing around with an issue nobody is ever realistically going to come across. nobody would ever run a mission with three hours sitting on tthe ground with the engine off...

my money is on march 20th, and thats totally fine with me. I'm still enjoying learning the hornet on BF. Will love to see some rio videos and the prerelease videos on start up and such.

I know i'm excited to have my shirt, but the tomcat comes first, once it is released I'll keep an eye open for any info about the shirts

the AI pilot will be very basic only, so probably just flying waypoints, think of it as autopilot, not a real pilot, thats my impression anyway.

Sure, if they could find one willing to, why not.

Most likely do a cold start in my training mission, fly around a bit, maybe hit a server to have some fun with other aircraft in the area, loads of touch and goes

I thought I had seen that they planned to represent all Tomcat squadrons, not sure if thats the case though...
