  1. In the A2A tutorial thread some people say they are lowering their seat position in order to help with AAR. I'm going to try this myself. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4181370&postcount=235
  2. HAH! this could really help me. Going to try.
  3. There should definitely be a "choose a seed" option where the game populates portions or all of the map with traffic and things that could need to be attacked or protected. Not necessarily enemy units but lots of civvi stuff that we could build a mission around. The map often feels lifeless... and then you get a mission that is populated but it is all enemy stuff and it is just like Air Quake.
  4. +1 While I am STILL convinced this is a non-issue I completely agree with your sentiments. Even the <stuff> bit. Had there been any question in my mind that the Supercarrier wouldn't work with the F-14 I wouldn't have bought it as I own the F-14 and not the F-18. If there was any question about this then they should have only sold it to people who own the 18. HB is a great team and I am confident it will be supported - just Wags saying things that are not exactly so again - like saying that they were "extremely careful not to make it seem like any of the things in the 2020 post were coming in 2020" and you can quote at least a dozen statements of things coming in 2020 in that post.
  5. The best thing about DCS is how many daddies we have.
  6. The Tomcat is going to work just fine with the carrier. It would be absurd for this not to be the case. ED just isn't going to promise what HB has to do. HB is not going to leave heir customers high & dry.

    Wet decks

Definitely want to see rain flowing on the deck, but there is not a lot of spray getting up that high unless you're in a hurricane. :)
  8. I don't know if this forum has a user block feature but congratulations, you have just inspired me to go find it.
  9. The only success I have had with it in VR is to line the pod up just left of the right rivot at the top of the front glass and fly in. This tends to put me a little bit left of the basket however. Moving to the right a bit on the way in screws up my sight picture.
  10. Yes the depth perception is great for everything actually. However, just blindly stabbing at the basket isn't exactly a great way to learn how to do something. It is a great way to get frustrated and give up.
  11. I stopped reading there. You might as well wait for official word on if it will interact with the comms menu. Have a nice day.
  12. It doesn't interact with anything any more than the current Kutz does... or the refuellers do with helicopters... The same as it does with any other ship born fixed wing aircraft... what exactly are you asking? It's going to be a floating hard object. They have said CA interactions will be added later. Isn't it likely it will interact the same as any of the other units? The same way you can land and take off of the Kutz now. It is a hard object in the water that you can crash into and touch... you cannot use it. You cannot use the cats, the wires, can't talk to it on radio... Do own a ship born jet? Do you ever "interact" with the Stennis. I don't understand why this is not all completely obvious to you. If you want it in your mission you have to put it in. You will be able to put it in a mission even if you don't own it the same way you can put a F-18C into a mission even if you don't own it. If you want people who don't own the module to have access to an aircraft carrier you're going to have to put the Stennis in. Again is this not painfully obvious? Because they are all answered by the simple statements they have already made and the fact that it is just a module. If you don't own it you'll be able to bump into it but not control it.
  13. Not something they have talked about (hence your question) and a great question! When ships go to flying stations they always point into the wind - the supercarrier should do the same.
  14. I've had a hard time figuring out the cues in VR as well. This video makes it look easy, but in VR you cannot do what he does. Anyone with actual help would be great.
  15. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/other/supercarrier/ They have said, repeatedly, on Reddit, the forums, and Facebook that anyone who does not purchase it will be able to see it but not land on it. Just like anyone who doesn't own the F-18C can see it but not fly it.
  16. Happy with the price.
  17. Pre-order is available here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/supercarrier/ $35USD (discounted from $50 for pre order) another $10 off if you own the 18.
  18. I'll be pre-ordering it. The reality is I'm going to own this module even if it sucks when it first comes out in EA. At some point I will buy it anyway. So I'm going to pre-order it. I hate myself for it... but hopefully it will spur on ED to make the GAME better and more complete, not just adding more and more of the (basically) the same aircraft.
  19. Pre-orders open tomorrow.
  20. The campaign has begun! :)
  21. Want to be able to fly heavy bombers and transport planes to give missions more realistic stakes.
  22. Any update on when this will be fixed? Thanks, RaT
  23. Thanks for the suggestion. Glad to seem someone willing to help. :) Today's hotfix fixed it for me before I could try anything. I can now go back to avoiding learning the 16 while I enjoy the 14.
  24. Today's hotfix fixed the problem for me.
  25. Only in the F-14B module the game acts like it isn't the active window. The throttle and stick axis work but nothing else does. None of the buttons on the hotas work, and no keyboard input can work - not even by using VoiceAttack. All other modules work fine, and the F-14B was fine until I installed today's patch. I can't even hit ESC to bring up the menu... so I have to Alt Tab to get out of the game.
