  1. I know you said you had a 5090 but what is the vram usage at the point it stutters? Also do you know your Frametime during this as well? You might just have the resolution on the headset too high..
  2. Well I had alot of succes with the oasis driver and using win 11 24h2. but you never know. Depends on your hardware.. if you have newer gear maybe worth an upgrade.. you may or may not experience issues hard to say unless you try it.
  3. in Steam VR.. they have options to set the global rez and the per app rez.. I am using the oasis driver as well.
  4. Well I have discovered with my gear in Sig and a Reverb G2 when I set the Global rez to 80% and game app to 80% DCS Runs fine in VR. If I set other then that say 90/80% or even 60/60% I get stutters. I have asked why the G2 seems to do that in my thread but if you get stuttering at 100% Rez in VR try lowering the resolution I guess especially in the G2.. Unknown why the G2 does this but I am near flawless with Spikes and Frametimes at 80/80%..
  5. Well you see that is the thing I don't need to do anything it just runs near flawaless. I seen that link thnx.. I was only having a 99.9% CPU Time and was wondering what I could do to get that down as well. but it really is nearly flawless it just might be the game engine or network disconnects and stuff dragging down that .1%..
  6. How did you find out this was your issue? Did you use latency mon or something to determine this?
  7. Well I think I discovered something unusual. when I select my total rez at 80% and game rez @80% my game runs flawless @90hz.. but If I set the global rez to 90% or anything other then an 80/80% config my Game runs terrible.. I just ran capFramex and it was flawless for 504seconds.. This is very strange maybe something wrong with the way DCS Handles certain VR Resolutions or similar is going on here..
  8. I am done with messing with FSOS. it seems after a while it starts acting funny or maybe it was just me.. I am now trying to keep my .1% lows lower then 11.1ms as I had switched to 90hz and it is still keeping up altho I am at 80% Rez in the G2.. Which does not look too bad but I am able to keep my Frametimes under 11.1ms 99.9% of the time.. I do believe the 1% lows are the cause of most people stutter.. I would say if you have stutter, judder or whatever you want to call it check your 1% frametimes. EDIT: I was wondering if a dev could chime in on why all of the sudden DCS seems to run so perfect for me at least. I am getting under 7ms Frametimes for GPU and less then 6ms on CPU.. it is really wierd why it seems to work like it should of since I had the 4070ti..
  9. does it happen to you? If so are you using VR and which Hz rate do you use? then what is it and why am I not suffering as much? EDIT: I was just in a MP session on through the inferno and I had lowered my Resolution of the G2 and it was near perfect the entire flight. the Frametimes were below 7.2ms on GPU and 6.0 on CPU and I had a near perfect flight time going to WP2.. I looked out the sides and seen no stutter, nor spikes when airborne. I use the fpsVR Counter.. the point I am trying to make is maybe you put too much on your PC can handle.. or something else is amiss..
  10. IDK Maybe have a look at my .1% thread I am getting 100% PErfect frametime on my GPU and 99.9% on the cpu which effectively is near stutter free. not sure it is entirely DCS Fault.. IF it was then I would suffer as well..
  11. well upon further testing I am in the Through the inferno camp in MP hollywood Hills I get 8.4ms in GPU Frametime.. I did also manage to get 100% GPU Frametime but 99.9% on the CPU not sure what happened there but still near perfect.. I am also trying a modified version of Win 11 called FSOS which seems to be slightly better then regular bloated win 11.. it is a stripped down and tweaked version of Win 11 so still using windows but a custom ISO.. not saying you should switch to FSOS but it is slightly better especially in the average FPS..
  12. Well I had bought a Razer Basilisk mouse and do not suffer this issue. I thought I would but for some wierd reason I can set it too 125,500 or 1000hz and it works just fine with no lag. I thought for sure the mouse polling rate was the cause for my minimul spikes ingame but it was not.. maybe the devs can get to the bottom of this.. I can post a log file if needed
  13. Well on a whim I retried the FSOS which is a custom Win11 and it seems ok there. I did buy a Gaming mouse where I could control the Poll rate and set it too 125hz and whilst in game I had a flat line and made under 12ms on all my latency which was 100%.. I am going to leave it where it is right now as this performance is awesome and glad I got back to 100% Latency.. I think most issues stem on most peoples PC from an unknow infection and maybe even an unknown Root kit infection.. I mean unless you have a potato PC DCS should run near perfect.. I know my system is 100% clean as I Secure erased both my M.2 Drives and reflashed BIOS.. so if you do that and still have issues I am unsure what it could be as there can be so many things that cause stutters but for me it is near Flawless as can be.. It just goes to show it may not be DCS itself and just misconfigured PC's or similar. Would hope all can have smooth gameplay as I am getting but it is possible..
  14. Yes, I have core parking disabled but will double check.. I went through all the usb devices and turned made sure the device will not be turned off.. I will check DCS again and see if there is any change in the .1% low. EDIT: I was also wondering why my average FPS is way lower then I thought it should be. most of the time the FPS is at a solid 60FPS but drops to 59 very rarely but it happens.. I just do not understand why the average FPS is showing so much lower like 54FPS or so? I think I might now some of the issue here. I had my G2 running 100% Rez and I am going to turn it down ot either 80-90% and see what happens.. the lower Rez will help how much I will need to see.. Another issue as I was watching the following vid and it sounded plausable latency in the sound device:
  15. Well I had some issues and I was tempted to try Bazzite a linux Distro that did not work out too well so I went back to win 11 Pro 24h2. now the frametimes are under 10ms but I still am getting some high .1%. not sure why it is different now as it is a secure erase and reinstall win 11.. If it is the .1% that is causing some issues I will need to adjust it somehow.. will continue to tweak.. but the last time I checked I was at 99.8%.. which I guess is not bad but I sure wish I know why that .1% drops out every now and then..
  16. trees are only concealment not cover. the best thing between you and that missile is Earth.. but it is funny as your missiles probally dont go through the trees, I know most of my hellfires do not.. but maybe do you have a track?
  17. I wonder why using the Bin.exe would be different arent they the same exe?? But I am glad you got it fixed. I may try running the bin exe..
  18. Well I finely reached Nirvana I do believe.. I had done a few tweaks and added Process Lasso to the mix again and I just got done flying on a Multiplayer mission "In through the inferno" and I flew a mission and played for 25minutes. during the time of the mission I had a perfect Flat line in the DCS Frame Counter and 99.9% frametime showed in fpsVR after I ended the mission.. I think I did not get the .1% because during the initial loading of the mission I had dropped 10 frames. but during the entire 25minute flight I had not dropped 1 frame.. So I am thinking I finally cracked this nut a personal goal of mine for some time.. Smooth Gameplay is possible.. I just think of DCS as a finely refine supercar, awesome when it works but a bear to tame.. It is possible to run DCS in VR Near perfect. I guess I will save the tweaks I have done for future reference and try some other games I have in Multiplayer.. I really think this is a breakthrough for myself..
  19. have you ever tried running a stress test on your components like OCCT?? If you have not maybe try and see if you get errors running the stress tests..
  20. Anti Virus or in my case Windows Defender
  21. is this causing the stutters in singleplayer as well? How do I know which backround processes I can turn off. can I permantely turn them off or do I have to turn them off every boot? yes usually when ?I game I try and remember to temporarily disable the AV..
  22. by default is it in users/yourname/saved games/DCS.openbeta/logs. it is a DCS.log file it will just say DCS if you have file names hidden..
  23. I did find out why the .1% Frametime was so high, it was because of QuadViews. I turned that off and again got Frametimes both CPU and GPU at 100%.. Even in Singleplayer I get a slight stutter every now and then, what is causing that in a singleplayer mission?
  24. Well on an unrelated instance I had reinstalled Windows 11. Once I was able I ran DCS and noticed my Frametimes were all below 16.6 and I had acheived 100% FT. I did still notice little blips here and there and since I was way under frametime it had to of been scripts loading like Hiob had mentioned and there is nothing I can do about that.. so I can say DCS is about as smooth as I can get it.. I am happy I acheived my goal and look forward to playing more DCS..
  25. yes I had AV disabled when running but not when testing will do that as well. and here is my DCS Log and I will try to run that program you suggested sleighzy.. I had exported the log file as a csv file and I needed office to open it up, is this the correct way and here is he file incase anybody wanted to have a look as I know nothing here?? dcs.log DCS 2025-09-25 22-23-55.9751838 UTC.csv
