  1. Hey HomeFries, I am putting this here. I am trying to run CTS_Windows version for Elite and when I run it I get this error: "Compile Error: Identifier name expected in Common/dx+.tmh at line 61" now I am able to load the other CTS no issues.. so maybe something wrong with the CTS for Elite?? I tried updating but no go.. is the CTS_Windows version being upkept still or is it relegated to the dumpster? CTS version ==== 2.553 DCS World (or IL-2/Elite) version===Elite Dangerous:Odyssey Windows version===== win 11 Pro 64bit 23H2 OS Build 22631.5472 Aircraft or Modules affected ============ all ships.. Cougar or Warthog ========== Cougar MFDs (yes/no) ========== tried both ways.. Head Tracking (e.g. TrackIR, VR, and if VR whether trim functionality is set to 0 or 1)========== VR Communication Settings enabled: VAICOM (no) SimpleRadio (no) CommState (yes/no) PTT (Keyboard or DirectX) and PTT Key if Keyboard (otherwise will assume Scroll Lock)============= Keyboqrd key progrsammed on AntiMicrox Program.. Do you use TeamSpeak 3? If so, which version?=============== not running while testing..
  2. wow it is a good deal and what is practically a new stick.. I would buy but have other commitments..
  3. Well thing is with iPower you should check on what motherboard they use and what speed the RAM will be set at or capable of. I bought an older Ipower PC and the speed of the ram could not go higher then 2600 when 3200 was common..
  4. are you using a dedicated 6e Wireless router?? I preferred the link Cable I owned a Q3 for a month and cable worked best for myself YMMV.. I tried buying a cable that was not official and had nothing but trouble with them. I did purchase the Link Cable that was the official one and did not have any issues with it..
  5. it might load the game quicker but that is about it.. I have a PCIe5.0 seems ok but no noticable improvement..
  6. Well it really could be anything that caused it. best bet is try and figure out what changed since last week? new drivers,, added new hub or HOTAS, USB Devices?? Also is your monitor capable of higher then 60hz refresh rates?? if so not related to your crashes but it states it is set @60Hz.. if it can go higher would help a bit to go higher..
  7. Well I am thinking that as well. I just ran DCS in 2D and opened the FPS it stated I was GPU Bound at 150FPS as the theoretical was like 240fps.. so my 4070Ti is the bottleneck as I had suspected but I guess it is not really a problem in 2D as I can maintain a high FPS with a High Hz rate on the Monitor.. Now when I went into VR the FPS were around 75-80FPS in the same quick mission gun range for AH-64D in Cauc. now I know the VR Eats FPS but that much seems like more then it needs to be but I guess not. I will test in VR and see what the DCS FPS Counter reports in VR.. I am asking because I have to game in VR with 60Hz rate as I can not achieve 90FPS consistently and in most scenarios. I would like to get a 5080 and be done with it but just so expensive.. and I really would like to get a new VR Headset.. maybe they had worked on the GPU/CPU counter a bit and it is more accurate then in the past.. I really dont pay it much mind as I usually use the OpenXR Tool for seeing my FrameTimes.. EDIT: I just set it too 60hz and in DCS it showed CPU Bound. but since I am FPS Limited I guess it is sort of true there.. I then switched too 90Hz and it was showing 85-90FPS and still CPU Bound.. so I am CPU Bound with a 265K in VR? but in 2D I am GPU Bound..
  8. well I had seen the expanded DCS tool many times but not sure where you say it shows you the limiting factor, where does it say that in the DCS Tool? I will check the GPU Usage but curious about the DCS tool? I also use VR so I guess in a way I am FPS Limited but I am not sure if I am or not.. the FPS seemed locked at 60fps. IF that is the case not sure what more horesepower would do for me?
  9. Well and my question is how do you tell you are GPU Limited, I always here many answers to this question and never really found what is true about it..
  10. Well speaking for me and my PC I seen no difference in the quick and dirty test I just ran. AH-64D Syria range mission here are the results: ReBar OFF: 1. (11.8ms Looking, Center front seat) (14.3ms Looking, Left Front seat) (13.2ms Looking, Right front seat) ReBar ON: 1. (12.1 Center front seat) 14.2ms Left Front Seat) (13.2ms Right front seat) Basically the same so for myself I seen no difference.. Now maybe if a scene came up where ReBar would come into affect it would matter a bit but for this quick test no difference seen here.. Either way it does not seem to harm having it on and where it would matter like maybe a busy scene it would be a benefit that is to be seen.. I may test another game just too see..
  11. Hey BitMaster which company in the USA that has proper and long term support? Do you have any links for the Linux based Routers? I built a Linux based Cloud setup and it has been working great. would be curious to look into a linux based Router.. Thnx Neph'
  12. Well saying it is at stock could be misleading was it a Factory OverClcocked card?? or bumped up from the base card core mhz? if it was OC try dialing the core clock back bit. or get MSI Afterburner and undervolt it..or declcok it..
  13. Hey SrSosio, did you have an overclock setup with msi afterburner?? Sometimes DCS does not like OC especially on the core too much. I usally do a bit on the core and a ton on the memory which is where it is better to OC a GPU anyhow the core does not matter too much.. Like on my 4070Ti I had 100mhz on the core and 1600 on the memory.. it really increases the GB output or whatnot..
  14. Did you see what the temps were at on the 3090? IT seemed to have crashed pretty quick did you try and rerun the test and see if maybe it was a glitch of sorts.. if you do run the temps does the fane seem to be spiining as well?
  15. ok that looks good and yes OCCT has a GPU test it is the 3D adaptive test. but before you run that what is the make and how many watts is your PSU and which GPU Do you have? Try running the PSU test it will do both CPU and GPU at the same time and if tht Crashes try running just the GPU, and if the GPU test fine by itself you may have a PSU issue.
  16. This is the test I was asking how long you ran it for not the 1st test as you said your PC Crashed almost immedietely..
  17. which test did you run in OCCT? how long did you run the stress test for?
  18. Well I would highly suggest running a stress test on your PC with OCCT or even Intel Burn Test or similar you could be having a heat issue or some sort of unstability in the PC and a stress test will point that out real quick..
  19. well if you could lock it at 72 you would still run into issues. I have read that it is best to lock it about 10-20FPS above your lowest FPS and if need be you can round it off. I found it best just to set the Hz rate of the VR and let the Game just run full out.. but if you are able to maintain a set FPS like 85 or 90 fps consistently you could lock it above your Hz rate and probally be fine.. What are your specs and Headset and such?
  20. well while I do not suffer from this issue I surely look forward to the cause from the ED Devs..
  21. ummm I mean you should upload the log and dxdaig file here not post it like that Akkkk!!
  22. Well you say your CPU is OC @ 5ghz in your sig but in your screenshot it is at 5.5ghz.. which CPU Specifically do you have? and for the record I idle at about 36c asnd when in the main menu of DCS it is about 46c. I could check ingame temps but I doubt I am hitting 90c+..
  23. AS a Previous G2 iser I would like to hear more thought on the CL.. I would really like to get one but I have my doubts.. Also have you seen the mod where somebody I think it was here where they uised the G2 heradphones on the CL..
  24. No when I just shut the PC off and do not turn the PSU switch off it starts normally. so I am guessing by me turning off the PSU switch to off that the restart issues is supposed to happen as it is training or similar? IF so then I guess there is no issue and I can not worry about it.. thnx
