Looking for quality Headset w/Mic..
The_Nephilim replied to The_Nephilim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
well just a headset w/mic. no 3d sound or gaming headset most of them are really bad unless you know of a good one.. Audiophile stereo headset with mic but they are usually cost prohibitive.. but if you know one I can sure take a look. -
Hey Guys, I had my mic bar break it still works but needed some tape to hold it together. so I am in the market for a good quality Headset w/mic. now I am not looking for the absolute best, but it would be nice if it sounded good when playing my MP3's 320kbps. I currently have a Rokkat Cave headphone which is ok but not nearly as good as it could be.. my budget is about 150-200 usd or under but I would really like to get a really good sounding headset with noise cancelling mic if possible wired no wireless. Good over the ear set too is best for me no earbuds.. so looking for ideas.

Well I can always get python if you could can you please send the script.. -
well then why can you not just use normal mode? Also do you have the monitor to shutoff after some minutes in the Win Power Profile?
-
well I am confused as you say you capped the frames at 45 but get 70 fps I dont see how that is possible? you said you have the G2 VR?
-
Well I know for a fact that Textures on high will cause massive use of VRam. I would set that at medium. but the big thing I see in your screenshot is you have the Max FPS set at 45 that is probally the issue here set it higher..

One or more cores reaching 100%
The_Nephilim replied to 104th_Money's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Well that is great how can I ID the fast cores on my 265K CPU? I had played DCS tonight and in the Caucus I was able to run at 100% Rez in the G2 and it worked great. So I do beleieve the CPU has helped alot and it is performing great with DCS. I think even if I could get a better GPU I would only be able to run @90Hz with maybe full rez so either way I am getting that @60Hz and it looks great.. so far no GPU needed and with the reviews of the 5070 series is not good not sure I am going to upgrade even if I could afford it.. Look forward to hearing some info on how I can ID the faster ECores.. thnx -

Hey Great thank you. I will keep an eye out for such an update.. I have been testing with Process Lasso and running 8 E Cores in with the 8 P Cores and it seemed ok not sure if it is worse, Same or better but it seems ok. I am flying tonight so I will give it a better long term test with some e cores in the mix.. Altho all the E Cores are spiked @100% but it does not seem to hurt performance in DCS.. will test further.. -

OK I see I think, so the P-Cores are running 4 and 4 for other tasks is that why I don't see the P-Cores running on all 8. but I thought the Ecores are supposed to handle the other work besides the game like tasks and such. as for your statement about the core ultra not a good idea for gaming then perhaps you say I should have went AMD? I will not be insulted if you tell me the core ultra is crap for gaming hehe!! I was close to getting an AMD and still can go that router if it were better for DCS but I have not seen anybody post much with an AMD and DCS.. Well after much testing it appears Games in Win 11 23H2 are not assigned the proper cores. I am pretty sure ECores should not be used as gaming cores only the P core should have tasked that work. When I run DCS about 4 P Cores are active and about 8 E Cores. I ran PL and assinged all to my 8 e cores and assigned DCS.exe to my P Cores. it works fine and gets low frametimes.. I will test again without PL running and see what happens. but I do not think this is a total DCS Issue with assigning the cores as the other game I play MW5 has a similar issue.. -

well I noticed as I disabled Process Lasso that a couple P cores were not getting much work. it seemed most of the e cores got the work. and I was under the impression ECores are not good for gaming on?? is that not the case? here is my latest log file if it will help and you can see PL was Off.. dcs.log -

Well I seen that. So are you saying I should run DCS on all the cores and not just the P-cores as well?? -

Well I was running a seperate test and decided to see what my P cores were doing and 2 of them were pegged at 100%. Specs are in my sig and here is my Latest DCS.log.. dcs.log -

Well to be honest it seemed a bit better but not sure how to be sure. I did the 1st test I ran and while it seemed the same I did not have an accurate FPS count as I did not have the toolkit working. I did read that from mbucchia but the red text was pointed to developers and mostly the Quest users.. I am unsure but maybe the toolkit does not work any longer. I di use quadviews but I used that program that sorts the order and it fixed it but when I went into game the Frametimes for CPU/GPU were at zero so not sure what happened but maybe it dont work anylonger.. But my initial feeling is the performance seems about the same in DCS. I did notice a difference in Mechwarrior 5 tho.. EDIT: Well I just found out how to properly OC my new stuff and I was just shy of the BEST score for Firestrike with my Gear.. now this new PC is way better then the 12700K. Here is the result: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/32960940 -

Well to be honest I think a GPU Upgrade would have been better but I think it is fine as is.. on a quick test the Load rate was 68% in Syria. so it did go up a but did not get a chance to fly around but it looks to have been a little bump up and I am hoping it is smoother overall.. I will have to find another Program like Open XR Toolkit that showed the GPU Frametime as to better see what is going on. the ingame Frametime counter just does not seem to work well.. I liked the OXRT one but I just reinstalled it and it was not working? -

Yes I cam close to getting a 9800x3d but with the 4K tests I seen it was pretty close. I am hoping it will work well. If it does then I might be able to get the Pimax come spring.. I am also going to run some benchs in 3D Mark but I had an issue with it using my intel GPU for some reason? EDIT: Well I assembled the new PArts and it fired up. I am currently installing the Mobo Drivers and all should be able to test it maybe later tonight gonna go play some MW5 tonight 1st to give it a bit of a test run.. I still need to look into a guide to OC and setup BIOS all good.. so far looking good.. -
Well I ran some test in DCS with my G2 too see the GPU Load and here are the results so I can compare when |I put in the new parts in the build I bought.. All these tests where in the Apache and the Range training mission in 4 different maps.. I ran the Reverb G2 @100% Native rez. 1. Syria--60+FPS-- GPU Load 64% EDIT the load it was 64% not 85%.. 2. Caucus--60+-- GPU Load 73% 3. Sinai--60+ FPS-- GPU Load 77% 4. Persian Gulf--60+ FPS-- GPU Load 62% now the current system is in my signature and tomorrow I will be getting the following new parts: 1. Intel 265K 2. Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Motherboard 3. 64GB 6400MT RAM. I am hoping the new CPU Pushed the GPU Load up a bit. really not sure but I was looking to get a Pimax Crystall in Spring so I figured upgrade now and get a jump on getting new parets for it.. I may not even need to get a new GPU as I think the 4070Ti will do ok.. just hoping for good results after I put it all toether tomorrow. Also this was a fresh install of Win 11 Pro 23H2.. EDIT: I just fixed my issue with the intel GPU running insted of the 4070Ti and here is the result on 3D Mark: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/32949529

well it depends on the resolution you run. in most all 1080P test the 9800x3d is ahead of all the others. in 1440P it narrows a bit but @4K it is reall close almost a margin of error. but I guess you can jump on the AMD Band wagon but not sure I beleieve the hype especially since I went with Intel and seen some 4K Benchs..
