It is OK, but both it and the dark style need to have the adjustments that are being made to the default style to make it a sensible size on a monitor screen and to have all buttons visible

My pleasure - enjoy the flight:thumbup:

Don't get me wrong, I am not happy that Tapatalk is not working either - I have other forums and work with them all via Tapatalk

50+, but mentally about 12. Hoping that if I keep with this thought I will never leave my first childhood so cannot reach my second one:lol:

I don't run SRS so cannot really help on that issue, but I do use a Warthog throttle and the Mig 21 so will jump on this later and see how it works for me (I haven't flown it recently). Are there any entries in the VA log when you don't get beeps (it might help to turn on debug in the VAICOM config screens to see if this gives any clue)? Edit: I have now tried my Mig 21 and it worked fine for me so at least we can discount there being a fundamental problem between the module and Vaicom. Have you tried contacting @Hollywood_315 directly to see if he has any ideas?

This is true, but the default colour scheme (which is definitely vBulletin's) is very cold and clinical. Smartphone functionality is good but shouldn't come at the expense of the experience on other platforms. Things like this are cyclical in nature because this is a very retro look and does look like a 20 year old system.....
-
It is built on the newer version of vBulletin software and so will not be reverted (@Nineline has already confirmed this). There are definitely improvements that could be made to make it easier on the eye (such as removing the meaningless numbers next to the sub-forum names and having larger icons for going to the first unread post etc) but a lot of it is learning how to use the new layout. There are options for some customisation of the look under your user profile and I am sure they will make adjustments if people can be specific about what they want. It has improved since yesterday (for example, it is now legible on a larger monitor without having to zoom in the entire page). I was one of those who complained yesterday, but this was more about the lack of proper change management where you warn users when changes such as this are incoming and engage to find out what people value the most from the current system so that you can either incorporate it or explain how it is now achieved.

Check the connections in your HOTAS - it might be a connector working loose
-
If the call sign for the A10C II is set to one of the 'pig' series it might be worth changing it to either a weapon or a car marque. This has solved the issue for Vaicom users so might do the same for you
-
Do you still have the HOTAS controls bound in DCS? What HOTAS are you using? Are there any beeps or entries in the VA logfile when you have issues in DCS? Which module(s) are you flying?
-
try downloading the AIRIO extension and placing the dll in the extensions folder under Vaicompro (you do not need to buy the extension). This is a known issue and should be fixed in the next release.

I don't disagree with the above and I have developed websites and software in the past that have thousands of users and are mission critical for end users so understand some of the challenges. I never said that change was bad, in fact I think the forums needed an overhaul, but one of the key things is that you communicate changes before they are made - a bit like Wags does the new feature briefs so that people are aware. Engaging this way also helps you to understand what people value the most from the current functionality so that you can incorporate this if possible or explain how it now works. I think ED are now doing a reasonable job of this on the DCS side and could have used that more proactive approach here as well. I am not trying to have a go at them personally, but yes, if we spring things like this on our users at work without communicating effectively beforehand we get a similar level of flak thrown at us.

I also used Tapatalk, but this new forum works well on a mobile browser

This seems to be the main problem - to avoid having 2 sets of code they have now done well for mobiles at the expense of a great desktop experience. Good for when mobile, not so good when you are sat at your PC trying to troubleshoot issues for people:music_whistling:

While I agree the implementation isn't the best (certainly not its introduction), you can do what you want by either: 1. Clicking on the blue box with 2 arrows next to the last post date / time or 2. By typing the last page number into the Page box at the top of the thread

Having now had a look on my mobile device it has clearly been designed for this at the expense of a decent desktop experience

@BIGNEWY - I think the problems are that this new layout is not hugely well structured, and is now using less than half the real estate of my monitor - I am really pleased that I have a 32" widescreen monitor because I would not be able to use this forum on a smaller screen without a lot of tweaking (or serious eyestrain). It seems to be a classic case of designers / implementers not asking users what they would like..... I am not at all against changing it, but as someone who makes a living out of working with users to identify change requirements this is not a good way to do it

New Forum Search Function Not Working?
hornblower793 replied to Yoda967's topic in Forum and Site Issues
I can get the search at the top of the page to work, but not that at the top of a thread. I have already PMed @BIGNEWY about this and his advice is to wait for a bit and let the server databases re-index themselves -
If you do not have AIRIO you need to download this and place the DLL in the extensions subfolder under Vaicompro in the VA install. There is now a whole Vaicom sub-forum and the answer to this is in one of the other threads. Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

How to get ground to activage runway lights?
hornblower793 replied to Osita's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
There is a known issue with runway lights not working if you are landing at an airfield you didn't take off from -
Thanks - will have a chance to look either tonight or tomorrow
