No, not a typo. We decided to change the date such that we can include a video at the time of pre-order launch. We are still implementing some features of the cockpit and external model, so the video will not be ready for prime time until Friday. Thanks

We love the title of Viper and we'll be sticking with it thanks.

We provided the planned sensors and stores list well before pre-order for two reasons. First, it allows us to be transparent and better allow clients to understand our goals for the product. Second, there are many subject matter experts, like Viper pilots and crew chiefs, that know the aircraft better than us. There is only so much we can learn outside-looking-in (often conflicting information), and such input is invaluable and greatly appreciated. When we discover an inaccuracy, we will change it to make the most accurate simulation possible. Therefore, the first line of the page says SUBJECT TO CHANGE; we mean it. If we find further inaccuracies, we will update our list. In the end, this process results in a better product. On a related matter, as we continue research and construct the design for the Viper’s systems (very much still in progress). During this process, we have and may later find systems that we simply do not have the data to simulate correctly or with data that we feel comfortable using. The Sniper XR TGP is a good example. This project is still relatively early days (only really started in October of last year), and if you feel uncomfortable and a pre-order at this stage, then it in your prerogative to hold off until you are comfortable. Thanks

In order to include a video with the start of the pre-order, we had to move the kick off the pre-order to Friday, 24 May 2019. Thanks

Happy to hear that you all are enjoying the Rift S as much as I am!

As a 3rd party, that would be up to Urga.

Until early access release as always.

Hey everyone, a little update. The map VR optimization changes are being integrated into the next DCS World version: 2.5.5. This will be for both the Caucasus and Persian Gulf maps. Nevada map VR optimization will come after. 2.5.5 will not be this week, but not too much longer now. As a few version, it's not as simple as a regular Open Beta, there needs to be a lot more testing and checking to make sure that all 3rd party modules are working. Thanks

We have never stated the tape, and TBD at this point. Thanks
-
Yes, the stick moves to a small degree that matches the video posted above. Thanks
-
That's great, but many more clients will want to see the aircraft flying in DCS World before they are ready to make pre-order purchase. Thanks
-
While the VR optimization of the Caucasus map has already shown great benefits in internal tests, we are further improving and testing it. In parallel, these same improvements are being applied to our other maps. We don't have a time frame, but when we have new news, we will certainly share it. Thanks

Updated for those that missed it: --- Not really a trailer video, but rather a roughly 5-minute, pre-order announcement video for the 24th / newsletter. Cato is working on a cinematic trailer in parallel that will come a bit later. Thanks

Please wait for Friday, a video and many more screen shots coming then. Thanks

We of course will continue to read feedback and perhaps we will find a preferable means to better meet both our and client needs. Today though, I can only try to be open about our current plans and keep an open mind. Thanks
-
What you propose then would result in the carrier being invisible to all clients that don't own the module. That is not acceptable. Thanks

We are a company, not a charity that needs to pay staff and keep the doors open. Throwing precious time and resources against a project, must have it at least break even. While this decision may lose sales from a segment of our customer base, it will result in a much better return on investment in the lifetime of the product. Thanks

Hey everyone, Another important point needs to be made: in addition to the problems cited earlier that center around radio communications, deck crew, and other unique features to the upcoming Nimitz-class module, a larger, more fundamental item is the brand new Nimitz-class carrier unit/model being created for this module. It is not simply a repaint or update to the current Stennis. Like the comms, deck crew, and other items, creating this new unit has been a tremendous amount of time and effort, and pushed back other projects like the Kuznetsov, Arleigh Burke-class, and other projects. This unit can't and won't be given away for free to users that don't own the module. If you wants to see this unit in the game, you must own it as part of the module. Naturally, it is impossible to have inconsistent world if the host and client see the world differently, and so the client must own this module in order to join a host using this module. We have read all your comments and we understand that this is not popular for many of you. However, for the health of our company, this is a necessity. Thanks

No.

We will make our products as real as possible when it does not involve using information that has no place in an entertainment product. Correct payloads is far from that. Thanks

Upon further research, neither would have been accurate for an F-16CM, USAF/ANG, in 2007. Thanks
-
The A-10C in DCS is a mid-200s Suite 3 jet in which the LAU-88 with two AGM-65 was station was certainly valid. The same cannot be said true for an 2007 F-16CM. Thanks

There are no such plans.
