My most expensive module by far... feeling bad..
Wags replied to Koriel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The new Ka-50 is an entirely new model and cockpit. Not updated from the current one. Thanks -

Wags replied to Koriel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
For existing Ka-50 owners, there will be a separate upgrade purchase option at a greatly reduced cost compared to the full version. Specific pricing is TBD. Thanks -

Probably DCS: Black Shark 3 for the full version and DCS: Black Shark 3 for the upgrade version. Thanks -

LOL, I was thinking that you'd be particularly happy with this newsletter ;) -
My most expensive module by far... feeling bad..
Wags replied to Koriel's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
In the end, we could simply fix remaining bugs and keep as is, or we can do an expansive update that provides the updated visuals free to all Ka-50 owners. To make that happen though, there needs to be some income based on some new functions. While we can NEVER make everyone happy, we think the vast majority of clients understand and support this decision to further grow and improve the Ka-50. Thanks -

I'm sorry you feel that way. To update the Ka-50 (one of our earliest DCS modules) takes a lot of time, money, and opportunity lost from other projects. We do realize though that the Ka-50 needs a lot of love to bring up up to par with our more recent modules. As with any module though, we need to find a means for it to pay for itself, so we simply cannot give away the entire update for free. We have staff to pay and lights to keep on. As a compromise, we are giving away the all new and greatly improved external model and cockpit for free to all Ka-50 users. However, if you want to have the additional functions, I'm sorry, but we need some compensation for the work. I hope you understand. Thanks -
Thank you for all the kind words everyone. Because it's human nature to be more vocal about the negative than the positive, forums like this skew towards the complaints and criticisms in a disproportionate level. While constructive criticism is healthy and results in a better product, it's nice for the team to have a pat on the back from time to time. Thanks

It's always a team decision with our company owner and our CEO having final say. While still too early to announce, key elements of the map must include: 1- Can be converted to both modern day and WWII use. 2- Low overhead, high performance. 3- Geographically laid out to best suit multiplayer matches. 4- Suited for both land-based and carrier ops. 5- Expand into a new part of the world. Thanks

Hey everyone, A little update is in order. As most of you know by now, we had to push back OB 2.5.5 to next week in order to give a 3rd party more time to update their code to the new branch (no need to name names). As such, 2.5.5 is slated for 5 June and will include AGM-154A and C (along with the BRU-55A/A rack). I plan an introduction video this weekend to get you up to speed. As noted earlier, the Litening targeting pod went into internal test at the of this month and we are currently on track to release it to you in June. We still first release on station 5, but later add option for the cheek station. The team has also been busy improving the D/L, working on MSI for LTWS, working on Harpoon integration, fixed the HARM seeker when lock is lost, waypoint PRECISE mode, returning to work on the EW page, and implementing the MIDS page. The Hornet guys have been quite busy. Thanks

It was an error in the manual that has already been corrected for the next update. Thanks

Dear all, Sadly, we still have a 3rd party that has not updated their code to work within the 2.5.5 branch. To release 2.5.5 today would mean their module would not function within DCS World. We very much hope to see this resolved next week. If it cannot be, we will still release version 2.5.5 next week, and the 3rd party module will still be playable in the release version. Thanks

These are already part of the new CASE II/III carrier comms. Thanks
-
As mentioned earlier, this is the name will be going with and it will not be changing. While we appreciate the feedback as always, this has already been settled. As always, try as we might, we can never make everyone happy. Thanks
-
Happy to surprise you! Given the growth of our systems team (doubled from a couple years ago) and the new processes in place form the Hornet, Viper development has been rapid. Thanks
-
Our focus will first be on actual F-16CM USAF/ANF operators, and then we can do some "what if" skins as we did for the Hornet. Thanks
-
Thank you for your long-term support Dali. No reason to be salty BuzzU.
-
Thank you for the support all and pre-orders. We recognize that it really makes no difference to you when you pre-order, but it helps us. Thanks.
-
Correct on both counts. Thanks
-
Nothing is "complete", still relatively early.

Hey everyone, Related to the Hornet: We have been listening to all the carrier module feedback, and we have decided on a solution that will allow clients that don’t own the carrier module to join servers that include it. I’ll provide more details at the time of the CASE III nighttime recovery video coming later. Also, as mentioned earlier, those that own the Hornet will get a great discount on the carrier module. Thanks

Argument For/Against using Circa 2008 instead?
Wags replied to CrypticVillain's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
No, it all comes down to available data that we are comfortable using. As such, we must stick to a 2007 based on the very public available sources. Thanks -
More than you can possibly imagine...
