I read The Big Show at 15 (now a young 68). Never thought I would be in the comfort of my home watching it unfold on my screen in hidef, much as Clostermann would have seen it. Without the fear and freezing cold of course. Congrats to DCS and team. Well flown Clo Clo...I mean Philstyle.

The latest update tells us where WW2 sits in the priority list. You have to give some leeway for a just-released module (F 14) but still.... Anyway, I fly it every day and enjoy the hell out of it.

Thanks for all the great skins guys. But how do you get into ME and change codes and serials? Is there a You Tube on it? I would like to create "wingmen" and statics of some of the skins downloaded.

Thanks Philstyle...I agree the radio is annoying - and how much does it actually add to the mission, incorrect accents notwithstanding?

We have a Multiplayer set up where our mission in Normandy is train busting. We see each other, but our targets are invisible to the other guy. Much more fun if you stop and attack the same train. I have just started a thread on this.

Just new to Multiplayer, new server working fine for two players, however in the mission which we both have we are not seeing the same damage - ie train busting in Mustangs. We both see each others aircraft attacking but our targets are not visible to each other. Is that normal?

Sorry guys...I checked with the Updater thread by SkateZilla and found I am on the latest version. Plus DCS is looking for updates every re-start. The program is getting very stable now and updates are appearing less often - apart from hotfixes.

This is probably not the correct thread, but my DCS is not updating since I did a repair to the system after I lost the Spit gauges. The last version I have is 27430...very old now. How can I get the updates to start again? Any direction to a thread on lost updates? Thanks for any advice.

Sorry guys...been out of action for a full (and expensive) rebuild. I have forgotten how to get bombs and tanks onto the Spit and Mustang thru re-arming. Can someone direct me to a thread please?

I have been flying the Spitfire for about six months and have always had a slight right roll in flight. I just trim it out with a little rudder - which is not aerodynamically ideal, as the aircraft is "crabbing" a tiny bit as you can see by the ball.

Big investment in DCS in time and money. Lets FIX this thing - like - now!

I had a similar problem and found my screen resolution had changed. Just check that first.

Same problem here...3 monitors, no controllers and unable to see keybinds or axis sliders.

I agree guys - it was a no-brainer for me when I saw Normandy, the Spitfire MK IX and the missions. I read J E "Johnnie" Johnson's Wing Leader when I was about 13. Now I fly his aircraft in every detail. Almost daily.

tusler - Forgive me, but the challenge for you is going to be taxying the Spitfire and getting her airborne. Just getting the hang of it after a month

Busting trains is a lot of fun and good practise. No planning needed. There are plenty of them and small towns with rail junctions. Stop the engine with 20 mm and then try to get a bomb on it. If you miss, go back and re-arm.

I wandered over to the runway fence and "requisitioned" a piece of No 8 wire. Clock tickety boo now and my fitter hasn't even noticed.:)

Geeez...to land a Spit in daylight is bad enough - but a night? Impossible.

Art-J Great comment re the mixture lever. I have always been puzzled by its "On-off" nature. She would be laying a smoke trail at full rich all the time.

BTW Thanks Joey45 for the quickie mission. Thats great. How did you get so many aircraft on a strip? I can only get four.

Its the Normandy map. I thought I had made a mistake in placement of AAA (cause thats where its spawning me) so I Saved As and removed them. Now it spawns me next to the oil train! About to give up. I am PLAYER in the first Mustang.
