  1. From what I understand the first release will have a turbo texan, T-37, and T-38 as flyable... all of which are meant for training with no combat capability. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. They could call it the "SUBRAAM"
  3. Hehe... fast ya but stealthy with the wake it would leave behind? ;)
  4. It is... IMO of course... the forward fuselage looks like it was designed in a ship yard. :) Clip the wings and vert stabs and you have a boat.
  5. I thought the F-22 was designed to float on a lake... at least that's what that ugly thing they call an aircraft looks like it's best at doing. :D
  6. I'd say F4 has the better avionics modeling of an F-16 and Flaming Cliffs does a much better job at avionics modeling of an Su-25T. Come to think of it... F4 doesn't do a very good job at all of modeling the avionics of the Flanker, Fulcrum, Eagle, and the Hog. For modeling a Ka-50, Black Shark, willl blow F4 and all its variations out of the water. ;) :pilotfly: 2 completely different sims and each have their strengths and weaknesses and each should be owned at some point.
  7. All I can say is that it looks much better and it's up to Eagle to give you screenshots. :)
  8. The environment has changed a lot already with new land textures, new trees and, more dense forests.
  9. Guys... modeling the Ka-50 and all it's underlying systems is a very complex project... it all takes time.
  10. You can use the on board cannon in a few ways... 1. Boresight as a static gun. 2. Slaved to a locked target with the Shkval that will continue to track the target as you move within the limts of the gun as indicated on the HUD and TV display. 3. Using the Shkval targeting box, move it manually which is slaved to the gun so you can fire on targets witout a lock. 4. With the helmet sight that is slaved to the Shkval to engage locked targets.
  11. There was a "Flankers Anonymous" group back in the late 90's. I was certainly struck by the disease! :)
  12. It's not an SFD... :) It's a GPS unit... we call it the ABRIS and it has many functions and will be coming with it's own manual but for normal operation it's quite easy once you figure out what functions are on what pages. The Ka-50 is more difficult to fly and will require use of the control aids like the trimmer and autopilot functions to help you. I have flown Longbow 1/FPK/2 and Team Apache and the Ka-50 in Black Shark is more lively by miles... You can't even compare. The Ka-50 feels alive when you fly it and you must work to stay on top of the machine... especially with manual control. Take this as work in progress feedback as the FM is still being worked on and control systems are being implemented.
  13. It's not an MFD... it's the ABRIS fully programmable and highly functional moving map GPS... and nothing more. :)
  14. Hi Olgerd, Does that mean you are going to model the TACAN setter upper units in Black Shark? :) How about VOR/VORTAC snd NDBs?
  15. Well I guess Eagle forgot to include the TACAN setter upper units in Lock On and since the above mentioned countries have no TACANs to begin with, the sim has no TACANs either. ;)
  16. Are there TACANs in Russia, the Ukraine, and Georgia? The former USSR has very few VORs and rely primarily on NDBs for radio NAV aids. This is from 2001... http://www.cipdd.org/cipdd/_a&s/a&s2001/m0101.htm In some time to come, Georgia plans to instal TACAN navigation system (NATO-standard) with western assistance Heading and Course knobs work in Black Shark.
  17. Subs is right but as to the availablity to us... unknown. We had the FAC capability in many beta builds a long time ago... worked great to lase a target from the ground and have the diamond appear on the A-10's HUD. As you can see... Eagle has a lot going on besides just Black Shark.
  18. Think of the EWR giving artillery units a longer range as being spotters or scouts in the field. Without them you really casterate the capability of the big guns by using line of sight only.
  19. Maybe you're the bug that needs to be squashed... or your decrepid 98 machine anyway. :chair: :P
  20. Online refueling is not a feature... it just happens to work the way it does so be happy about the fact you have the capability at all. Because it's not a feature the team won't bother wasting resources on it. It's also possible that to get it working correctly is a very large task that might be limited by the engine. If online refueling was a planned feature and didn't work as it's supposed to then you have a bug in that system. Think of it as a bonus and not a bug after all they could remove it completey then no one would complain about what they think might be a bug. ;) The missile sensors not behaving exactly like you think they should is not a bug. If the missile sensors didn't work at all then you have a bug. Sensor work requires tweaking data and trial and error to improve the performace which is done if time and resources allow it. Right now all the time and resources are spread between Black Shark's helicopter and ground vehicle warfare simulation and whatever else Eagle might be working on non Lock On related.
  21. I would use 0.5 degrees AoA for the clean config and 1.5 for the dirty one. At the start of the dive the AoA was 1 then decreased to 0 for the clean config and for the dirty is started at 2 then reduced to 1.
  22. Interesting results... it looks like the difference is the the airport so I'm guessing the runway slope is causing the roll. I moved my jet to Razdolnoye and it did move. I set the same load as yours on the jet in Khersones and it didn't move. I tried a few other airports in the Crimea and the jet didn't move. I did find with yours at Razdolnoye if I applied the brakes for 5 seconds then released them the jet didn't roll. It's almost like the jet is set to be rolling as soon as you press "s" to start the mission due to the slope of the runway.
  23. Clean: AoA = 0-1 degree. Time was 42 seconds. Brakes out: AoA = 1-2 degrees. Time was 45 seconds.
  24. Here is a track showing that with the above mentioned load it will not accelerate on it's own at idle(33% RPM). Even at 40% it won't move. Once I do get it rolling and then return the thrust to idle it slows down almost to a crawl then one tap of the brakes stops the roll and it doesn't move after that. Completely empty with min fuel of 20% it will roll on it's own at idle. Su-25-idle.zip
