  1. It wasn't corrected in v1.12... it was added in v1.11... you have to trust me on this and a patch(v1.11) readme won't state an added feature unless it was actually added. :) Anyway... no use wasting thread space on this. ;) Cheers!
  2. Are you sure you have 1.11 installed and aren't running just 1.1? From the v1.11 readme... "The Su-27/33 and MiG-29 appear on the TEWS and RWR as a ‘29’ symbol because of the similarity of the associated radars." "x" just means v1.11 and v1.12. No confusion on my part. ;)
  3. Go look again(1.1x).
  4. The Su-27, Su-33, Mig-29A/C/G all show up as "29" on the TEWS and RWR as the Slotback radar is what is identified and not the type of jet using it.
  5. Well here is a track I just made(1.12a) using the Slammer and the Sparrow. Missile slider in the middle(default)... Vs an Su-27 co altitude of 23,000 feet. - Launched the -120 at 14nm in TWS... good kill and this is very consistant against the evasive Flanker. - Launched the -7 at 7nm(RTR)... good kill. Expecting to land BVR kills on an evasive fighter from long range is very optimistic for the Slammer and for the Sparrow... you need to be in a range where the bandit doesn't have the time or space to notch out and break lock so long range Sparrow shots on fighters is not a good idea. Also, be aware of your radar scan volume with bugged TWS launches as the bandit dives to evade to ensure you have the radar looking at the right piece of the sky. The only time you might get a long range BVR kill is against a jamming bandit using a HOJ launch where he doesn't turn his ECM off... I have had online R-max kills with this method many times. http://www3.telus.net/public/shepskii/MissileTest.zip
  6. R-max launch is the range for a hit on a non maneuvering target so don't expect that to hit an evasive Flanker using counter measures.
  7. Hi Goya, I looked at this and when I flew the track file myself I also couldn't lock(ground stablize) the Mav pipper on the airportand it indicated "0.0" When I approached from the water side I was able to ground stabilize the pipper on the airfield indicating the proper slant range and lock up the Strela and kill it. Same results in a newly created offline mission too. Testing in the same mission down the coaost at Glendzihk I did not see this same problem so it might only be related to Novo. Thanks for the report.
  8. Wow! Looking forward to t Brit!! Cheers
  9. What book is that? lifting the mains at 100 would mean rotating at about 90 which is the same Vr as a King Air turbo-prop so that number is not right.
  10. 110 is too slow for Vr... real world numbers are more like 135 for a medium weight and 150 for max weight with full afterburner. After Vr it should normally be a few seconds before lift off at most. The A-10 is normally configured with flaps for take off. One thing I notice in online flying is that most people rotate at way too fast a speed compared to real world... some even accelerate on the runway and rotate at the end doing well over 200 knots which would exceed tire speeds on the real jets.
  11. Those are very fast speeds already. Rotation speed for a loaded F-15 should be about 150 KIAS(no flaps) and for the Hog about 130(with take off flaps) Remember... rotation speed is just that...the speed where you rotate the nose to the take off attitude and let the plane fly off the runway.
  12. What speed do you normally rotate at in the A-10 and F-15 and with what kind of load Goya?
  13. Brilliant work Andrew!!! You really have a gift as a director of photography, cinematographer, and editor. Can't wait for the next one!! Cheers, Mark
  14. http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1871&highlight=demo http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1553&highlight=demo http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2488&highlight=area+demo
  15. The whole pay for info thing is something I wouldn't personally support but it's their ball... where I do see a potential problem for them is in the release of the demo. The area 51 members will be getting a more feature filled demo then the non members but this seems to be the wrong way to go about getting new people interested in FO. The area 51 members will be be buying FO no matter what but holding back a better more complete demo from the the customers who are checking FO out and are not sure sales seems backwards to me. I would want the most complete and feature filled demo available to those new potential customers rather then a castrated one.
  16. Hey Louie! Great to see you here too! How have you guys been? What have you been up to? What have you been doing with FS2004 Goran? I'm back in Edmonton now, just moved in October, flying a Boeing 737 for Canadian North Airlines. I see you still on the wet west coast Goran. Well, I'm 14 hours closer then I have been for the past 6 and a half years. :) Ya, Andrew is still in Toronto. Cheers, Mark
  17. That you Goran? KeyCommands.zip
  18. Thanks, The mod doesn't really add anything to offer an advantage except 6 R-77s on the Mig-29S and more dumb bombs on the Flankers. It limits the A-10 Mav capability while adding more dumb bomb and rockets to the loads. I would just ask the host but I can't see a problem.
  19. Hi Rugbutt, You mean make it so the new skin is in the drop down list in the editor?
  20. I strongly echo the above! ^^^^
  21. Nice work! I have flown in and out of a Russian Air Force base and the color looks too tan and should be more white... like the color Eagle Dynamics uses. Cheers
  22. Use the mission editor and build your own... no arming and refueling though.
  23. Looking good guys... can't wait to fly it!!
  24. So in Q4 2006 we will see the release of a training only simulator from what I understand, training aircraft including the Turbo-Texan, and the T-38. No actual combat unless it's blue on blue in a training scenario in the Nevada desert. Correct me if I'm wrong and we don't need any "killers", we need dedicated developers that produce quality.
  25. New GBU models/skins and many other weapons, both NATO and Russian, are included in 1.11
