  1. Hi RustyGunner I'm using a Fractal Design Define 7 case for the motherboard you mentioned. For CPU cooling of my Intel i9-13900K I'm using a AiO Watercooling from Alphacool Hope this helps
  2. My preference is close to Dangerzones: I'm waiting for the Apache and bought the Hind to have a new toy to play around. The Kiowa was on my top priority list but as it's delayed and the Hind was released combined with the lack of information on the status of the Kiowa (on my personal purchase list) it moved from "instant buy" to "let's wait for a sale and see if it'll be worth the money".
  3. Sold mine (Vive pro with lens mod, controllers and base stations for 500 and the buyer is still happy with it. Question is what's the reason for buying a used Vive pro? From my point of view (depending on what you plan to do with your VR headset) there are more interesting gears on the market than a Vive pro although I was very happy with mine ad changed it with mixed feelings for a HP Reverb G1
  4. Works great for me as well! Have three MFDs and a Tekcreations UFC flying VR only and after a couple of days muscle memory made the MFDs easy to use
  5. Great to see another Monstertech rig! That's mine: Started with the Flightstand and expanded over time to the current look. Like your seat! That was one of my main issues as well. There aren't many good seats for such rigs. Mine is OK but could be better. Looking forward to your next steps!
  6. Hi Cake Sorry for my late reply but had some real life issues during the last weeks, getting better now. Here my inputs to your questions: 1. I started with the Monstertech Flight stand including the pedal extension. Additional to this I'm using a customized base for the seat (manufactured by Monstertech), an additional Warthog throttle base for the right console, four MFD holder (one left, one right, two center), some connection plates, etc. Everything was ordered at Monstertech. Was cheaper than trying to get everything from local vendors. I've just cut one profile from the original stand in two pieces. If you'd like to have a kind of a shopping list, I can try to create one. 2. As streakeagle has already posted, I'm using the Slaw Device RX Viper pedals and love them!! Best pedals I've had so far and don't expect to change them. Currently my heels are resting on the alu-profiles but I've already a metal sheet in work to cover the space between the two beams. Wood could work as well. 3. The seat was a big problem as I had the same issue you've mentioned and ended up with the Playseat Revolution (seat only): Playseat Revolution It's even foldable and rests on a rail that is turned 180 degrees (have to grab the handle behind the seat but in front it would have interfered with my (planned) center stick solution. Still need to cut out a part of the seat. Lumbar support is OK but it's not the most ergonomic chair. It's a pretty stiff seat but I like that. Overall I can sit the whole day without bigger problems but a real car chair might be the better solution. It's crazy but finding a good sim chair with low side bolsters was impossible and as I had no chance to get an affordable car seat in good quality I decided to go for the playseat as I found a new seat only (someone wanted a "real" racing chair and sold the included seat alone). Let me know if you've any additional questions.
  7. Hmm... never heard of them. Do you have a link? Can't find them but sounds really interesting
  8. I‘m using Sahaj‘s green spring and it‘s way better than the original ones. Was an easy swap and the original TM was way too hard for me flying the Huey. And if the green spring is still too stiff, you can use a 10cm extension additinally
  9. That's the Tekcreations hornet right replica panel. Very nice panel! There are some others available on the site as well: Tekcreations Controllers
  10. Thanks for the info - seems there was a problem with my pichoster. Using another one and hope it works now @Fusedspine33: thanks for the heads up! Have this one as well but never tried it so far. Will check if it helps!
  11. I don’t have Catia but maybe that helps: grabcad howto
  12. Yes!!! Count me in for one of those as well! Can‘t find it in the shop currently but will come back later. Looks great and will fit between my UFC and TM MFD perfectly!
  13. I‘d be in for a paid update as well!!!
  14. Hmmm... video is locked in my country due to music used which seems to be blocked by youtube. What a pitty!
  15. It arrived!!! Thanks a lot!!! Now I have to figure out this DCS BIOS thing and I'm ready to go!
  16. Everything started with a Monstertech FlightStand with pedal extension: Monstertech Flight Stand After adding severalprofiles and a seat, today it looks like this: Side stick will be shifted to a center mount stick once I'm curageous enogh to cut into my seat. After that I can move the right console to the correct height and position. UFC and MFDs are still too low and will be changed with the center mount stick as well. The helicopter stick is a stand alone solution currently and just plugged in when used. Any comments welcome. Hope the pics work as my old hosting service has doubled the fees and I had to check another solution.
  17. Thanks for your inputs. My issue with the Reverb cable is the stiffness and replacing the original with some kind of self made will be beyond my abilities. Next to this I fear that it'll cause more problems with trouble shooting in case it doesn't work properly. Would be great if the new Gen 2 cable is far better and coud be used with the Gen 1 as well. As I have someone willing to buy my Gen 1 I'm thinking of getting a Gen 2. Otherwise I wouldn't do that. Great! Thanks for this info @imacken! Seems I missed that detail!!!
  18. Having a Reverb and a Quest I'd not recommend a Reverb with your graphics card. You won't be happy and with the upcoming Gen 2 I wouldn't spend money on a Gen 1 right now. I'd go for the Quest and sell the Go. I know many happy RiftS user but since Oculus link works with nearly every cable, I'm missing the point in getting a Rift. In case you'd be able to wait a couple of month I'd expect a lot of good opportunities getting a RiftS cheap after the release of the upcoming goggles. In this case, the Rift S might be a good choice
  19. Manual IPD, better lenses and a bigger sweetspot are great and I'm considering to "upgrade" my Gen 1 with a Gen 2 but what it would make it to an instant buy is a better connection cable. This sturdy thing is the only real pain I have with my Gen 1 so far. And a bigger FOV would have been great!
  20. Comparing the pictures to my rig (MonsterTech modified Flightstand) it seems to be the same and measuring mine, it's a 80/80mm aluminium profile, together with the feet and the alu plate you can see below the WinWing throttle it should be around 120mm from the floor to the base of the throttle box.
  21. Thank you for your review! Specially as I‘m using a very similar rig. How did you fix the throttle on the WH base plate? Or does it sit there without any connection? Still not sure how to attach the throttle to my Monstertech Flight rig
  22. I‘m using fpsVR Although it‘s not free it helped a lot to understand better which setting influenced my frames in which way (GPU vs. CPU usage)
  23. I‘m not really excited about these news - 5000 bucks minimum without shipping is out of range for most of the simmers. Native support for the Reverb would be more interesting from my point of view.
  24. As I'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff a (maybe dumb) question: That means if I'd order your Board with an Arduino Pro micro configured to work as a HID Joystick, your F/A-18C Hornet HUD Controls Panel (and others) and get some switches, I'd be able to just plug in the switches, connect the Board via USB to my PC, configure everything in DCS and it works? Or would I have to program some stuff on my own? Sounds too good as I'm not really into this stuff but would love to be able to extend my little pit slowly by adding additional panels.
