  1. Disregard, I got it figured out. However, the AI does some weird flying prior to dropping the sling load. If anyone needs help, I can provide more detail on how to get the AI to sling load.
  2. ‘External Cargo Unload' is an advanced waypoint action with trigger or script. It will make HAI fly towards the cargo drop zone and unhook cargo there (if HAI have any) after calling the task. Can someone explain how to set this up in the mission editor? I cannot get helicopter AI to drop a sling load. I did create a trigger zone and trigger rules, but I can't get this to work.
  3. Thank you, I will read through your info carefully. I am sure it will help. The Mig29 manual obviously needs a lot of work. It seems that a non-native English speaker wrote the manual. Someone needs to go through the manual and clarify a lot of information so that it makes sense in English.
  4. No, Matt calls it CCIP Delayed mode in his video.
  5. @Wags Matt, I did not see an adequate explanation of the CCIP Delayed Mode in your training video. I didn't see you do anything differently for setting up this mode, other than what you had already demonstrated for the other modes. The Mig29 manual does not mention anything about a Delayed mode. Can you please explain and list each step? (it would help if you listed each step and HOTAS command in your video). Also, it would be helpful if you use the terminology for various HOTA commands and modes exactly as they are named in the control mapping. Mixing and matching names is confusing when trying to learn the procedures for this jet. Thanks.

    Missing Radio

The way I was able to get the radio to work is as follows: In the mission editor assign the airbase tower frequency to the UHF AM: ARC-164 radio in the Channel 1 slot (Unfortunately, this also changes the frequency for your flight). In my case I am using 251.25 for Olenya on the Kola Map. In the cockpit, press CNI on the FMS to see the radio comm frequencies. 251.25 will be listed under the U2 radio. Move the Man/Norm/Guard switch to Norm. Select Channel 2 on the TX Selector switch. Finally, map your controls to Radio/ICS Transmit switch in the Control Options. Then contact ATC
  7. AI Aircraft won't fly a proper overhead break. They fly a goofy pattern, don't maintain assigned speed, and don't get configured properly. Tracks and Tacview attached. 8. Thanks, however I don't understand why Virpil does not design their pedals to work well without the damper kit. From Virpil: "The Damper Upgrade Kit allows you to equip your VPC Rudder Pedals with a high quality adjustable hydraulic damper. The damper will help improve accuracy and precision with rudder inputs by smoothing the pilot's movements and reduce/eliminate spring induced wobble. The damper can also be adjusted to hold the pedals in a deflected position, with no return to center - greatly improving rotorcraft piloting experience!"
  9. Does the DCS Control Mapping software automatically configure the FLNKR grip for the Su-27, similar to how it configures the Thrustmaster grip for the A-10?
  10. I also ordered the R!-Falcon Pedals but they have not arrived yet. Do the pedals work well without the Damper Kit? What exactly is the purpose of the Damper Kit?
  11. Thanks for your reply - with the settings I posted, heading hold does not work. What are the proper settings to get heading hold to work? I have turned off and then back on - the yaw autopilot and also reset trim, but it still doesn't work. "Another option you can use (which is closest to how it works in reality) is if you have foot brakes on your pedals. You remap your axis to heading hold button and fly it." Sorry I am not sure what you mean. I do have toe brakes on my pedals. After mapping this are you saying to press toe brakes to get heading hold?
  12. I am re-learning the Mi-24P and having a lot of difficulty. I have read through this thread a few times, but am still having trouble with the special settings and understanding what is going on with the helicopter. Some of the settings seem redundant and contradictory. Why hasn't a manual been released that describes all of the special settings in detail? This module has been out for over 4 years and no manual has been released! This should be considered totally unacceptable by Eagle Dynamics. It would be very helpful if there was an option to return all of the settings to default. I uninstalled and then re-installed the module but it kept my special settings. I want to have the heading hold enabled for cruise flight between waypoints, but also want to have full control of the pedals when maneuvering. Attached is a screenshot of my settings; are these correct for what I want?
  13. Once you open the comms menu, use your mouse to click on F10 and F1.
  14. The " \ " key is just the comms menu. Maybe you can map the comms key to something that works for you.
  15. Press the " \ " key, then F10 then F1 to disable the white card.
  16. Thanks, however excluding a larger folder from an anti-virus scan is not good security practice.
  17. I couldn't install the latest update because of the Heatblur Anti-virus issue. Also I can't login to DCS when using the launcher to start the game.

    Radios?

I have searched the manual as well as YouTube, however, I can't find any instructions on how to use the radios in the CH-47F. I have tried different settings on the Emergency/Auxiliary Control Panel, the Control Audio Panels, and checked the CDU functionality. This thread really doesn't help either. Nothing works. Any ideas?
  19. So I can't tell Bob to make a turn? I have to do it myself by moving the cyclic in the direction I want to go, and hold it until I am ready to roll out on the heading that I want to use?
  20. The manual says that the player can control Bob by moving the cyclic and collective. However, when I use the cyclic to start a right bank as soon as I release the stick Bob levels out. Did the last patch affect Bob or am I not understanding how the AI works?
  21. Hi, do you have a Discord Server?

  22. Yes, I found the information in the manual also. I guess it was setup this way in order to allow the AI to takeoff and fly the aircraft.. No issues with the right engine in idle. I did have problems with this before, if you look further up in this Thread. I fixed it by re-setting my throttles in the Virpil Software.
  23. Why is the WSO Startup Lesson taking place on the runway? There is a destroyed Chinook on the taxiway and other aircraft holding short of the runway.
  24. Yes there is a lever on each throttle that needs to be pressed in order to move the throttle from cutoff to idle. Similar to a real jet. However, that lever is not mappable. So in the Virpil software I have to map axis to buttons (physical to logical) so that DCS will recognize the throttle movement. Yes, Virpil software documentation sucks. You need a PhD in Engineering to figure this stuff out.
  25. Both throttles are set to Slider, but it is not making any difference as far as I can tell.
