  1. I seem to have fixed both problems by deleting the file DCS.openbeta>Config>Options.lua and then restarting the game.
  2. I have the same problem, and am using a CH Fighterstick, and CH Rudder Pedals. None of my devices have force feedback. I wonder if this is related to the bug with the 1.54 update and changing controller settings. I get a black screen and crash every time I use the Options menu to add controller settings, and then click OK. What log files do you need and where are they located?
  3. Thank you Bunyap. How did you get the VFR Chart overlay for your terrain in TacView?
  4. Thank you. How about Option 4 - the developers fix the F-15C autopilot.
  5. I have a suggestion regarding the Mission Briefing Maps - I crossed the FEBA in the first mission because I was not familiar with the terrain and landmarks in the area. The Mission Map that comes with the first briefing is not very detailed which made it difficult to get oriented while in the air. It would have been helpful if the Mission Map included the town of Rachel and the farms which are distinctive landmarks from the air. Also, maybe the FEBA could be added to the in-game map (F10 View). This would provide a quick reference while flying and help keep the pilot oriented. Pilots have access to charts while in the air, so this would be in keeping with realism.
  6. I tried a dead-zone of up to 10% in the pitch and roll axis of my CH Fighterstick. This made no difference, and the autopilot would not hold Attitude or Altitude. Also, the dead-zone caused Pilot Induced Oscillations (POI) which made the aircraft difficult to control. So, as it stands now, autopilot does not work for me in either Attitude hold or Altitude hold. I don't have any problems at all with the autopilot in the A-10C.
  7. Thanks for checking out the track file. My CH Fighterstick makes it very difficult to trim the aircraft correctly. As I mentioned, each click of my trim switch results in way to much pitch change. I will try a dead-zone and see if that helps ALT hold. Are the developers still working on the autopilot functionality or is this how it will always work? Also, hoping they can fine tune trim as well. I would like to fly the new F-15C Campaign, however, these issues really make it difficult.
  8. I am running DCS World 2.0.0.49135 Alpha on Windows 10 64-bit. I have not been able to get the autopilot to work correctly, and additionally have noticed two other issues: The Steering Index only shows up as a vertical line. It is my understanding that it should be a cross ( + ), with a vertical and horizontal line. Also, there is quite a bit of instability in the Pitch Axis. Whenever, I use the elevator trim switch, it results in way to much movement in the Pitch Axis. I am using a CH Products USB Fighterstick (and CH Pro Rudder Pedals). A track file is attached. When I level-off at 8000' I engage the autopilot ATT hold using the A key and then engage ALT hold using the H key. As you can see this does not work, and the aircraft continues to descend. After the ALT disengages on its own, I turn off ATT hold, and climb back to 8000' and try again. Same thing happens and autopilot ALT hold disengages on its own after I engage the A key and then the H key. F-15C Autopilot Fail.trk
  9. I am unable to update DCS World with the latest update, and have been trying for 2 days. I have run the Repair utility several times also. Additionally the download is very slow. My log file is attached. autoupdate_log.txt
  10. I tried recording a flight using the F-86F however when I opened TacView there was no file listed in my ACMI Folder. Is this only available in the paid version? Also, I was not able to locate a Manual on how to use TacView.
  11. I have been trying to purchase the F-86 since August 9th, from the https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com website using PayPal with no success. I keep getting an error message that says "PayPal returned an error, please try different card." There is no problem with my PayPal account or card, and I just used it with a different merchant as recently as yesterday. I filed a support ticket no. 33376 on August 9th. I still have not received any meaningful or helpful support from DCS Tech Support. The problem is on your end not mine. Will you please provide a resolution to this situation so that I can purchase the F-86? Thank you.
  12. Thanks for the update Matt. I think that this is a very reasonable solution for an extremely difficult situation.
  13. I would rather see the RRG/ED team working on the actual aircraft and map, and could care less about the "extras". The manual in PDF format is fine for me and has a much smaller carbon-footprint than a printed manual. I just really appreciate ED taking on and continuing this project, and don't want them to be burdened with anything else. It would be great to have some in depth training videos however.
  14. Thanks for the update Matt. Wishing ED/DCS all the best with this situation.
  15. Thanks, I thought "Was that to Fast" looked like it was Korean era. What is a roundel? Does the "FF-" numbering signify Korea as well? Hopefully there will be more Korean War era skins made to go with the F-86 Sabre coming out in July.
  16. Thanks Tom, beautiful work. Are any of your skins for the F-51D, Korean War era?
  17. I am not very familiar with the FC3 aircraft. Is there a Manual for the F-15C? I have searched the forums and documents folder for FC3 but have not found answers to the following questions: What is the correct startup procedure and the associated key commands? What are the flap extension and retraction speeds? What are the flap settings? As far as I can tell there are 2 settings. Either up or down. What are the gear extension and retraction speeds? What are the key commands for the various autopilot settings? I noticed in the change log for the latest beta update that acronyms were used. It would be helpful if they were spelled out. For example, what is PTC? What is ARI? Additionally, what is the proper procedure for taxiing the aircraft? Should the S key or Alt-Q keys be used? I find that it is very difficult to make tight turns while taxiing. I tried using both of the key commands mentioned, but they do not seem to have any effect on turn radius. Thank you
  18. Are key commands available to toggle the "black bar" on or off? I did not see anything listed in the Controller Options menu.
  19. Rather than an English cockpit, would it be possible to have the mouse-overs in English? That would keep the authenticity but help out the people that don't speak Russian, and it may be less work for Belsimtek.
  20. Thanks for your effort on this project Peter. Will you be covering the external views as well? I have not found much documentation on this and a lot of the commands are a mystery to me.
  21. Comms and procedures similar to Jane's Combat Simulations FA/18
  22. Matt, Thanks for the substantial update this week. I am still not clear on the difference between the DCS Flaming Cliffs (DCS FC) modules that are planned and the current aircraft in Flaming Cliffs 3. You mentioned in this weeks update that the FC3 A-10A will be upgraded to the AFM in release 1.2.5. How does the FC3 A-10A v. 1.2.5 compare with the planned DCS FC A-10A module?
  23. How old is your controller? Mine is probably 6 or 7 years old and I am up to 50% curve and 80% saturation in Y axis. What about saturation in X axis? Should this be set also? What is the affect of having the Slider check box checked?
  24. The good news is I was just promoted to Captain! Lord knows why? I tore the skids off and shredded the main rotors into a thousand pieces and the helicopter ended up on its side. I guess the CO figured since it didn't end up in a fireball with another dead crew, I was progressing.
  25. Wess, what are your controller settings? I have a CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Pedals, and have tried various Curves, Saturation, Slider, etc...with basically no luck. I have been unable to hover or control the aircraft with any sense of authority. The Huey is flying me, and has a mind of its own.
