  1. Also been having this issue since the update. 3090. 128GB DDR4 24 core threadripper CPU. My system only uses NVME's no mechanical or SATA SSD's. Texture load wasn't FAST by any means in 2.7 but it got considerably worse in 2.8 OB imo.
  2. So I've been going back and forth between the MOOSE and MIST versions of CTLD and i haven't yet quite found onw that does everything I'm looking for . Things I'm trying to achieve...have ctld work with persistence (sort of solved this using pikeys scripts), whilst being able to have newly spawned JTAC's picked up by an autolase script (used moose ctld for this with ciribobs older autolase script, couldn't get it to detect the Groups named JTAC3 and JTAC4). And finally , to make a scoring system so that when a pilot successfully complets a transport or drops of cargo they get points, again I have this working my moose implementation of CTLD but not in my old school version Anyone got any suggestions (or wants to be my personal Lua coder, I'm all ears.
  3. I have this working by essentially using 2 methods I use DML's persistence to persist units that are placed in the ME ,then I have a function at the end of my CTLD script to persist the CTLD created units. It actually works pretty well although 2 seperate files are created for each server.
  4. Quick question , since 2.8 I've been getting mad errors in the logs stating "corrupt damage model" is this something you guys are familiar with?
  5. Early days of testing but the crash seems to be gone at this point, will keep it up on my test server for a couple days to see what happens.
  6. For what it's worth I was working with Special K from the DCS Discord basically all morning and it came down to being the VSN tornado mod for me at least. Doesn't explain why it worked with 2.7 or why it worked on 2 of my servers with 2.8 but not on two others (as they all had the same mods installed).... either way this fixed it for me. I'm not sure what Harrier Heavy flight times means but if u can explain I'll answer that question.
  7. There's an issue with the VSN tornado mods both versions on 2.8. Only way i was able to get my servers to run since the update was to remove the mod.

This cannot be 100% the cause, I run 6 servers (and a 7th as a test one) 4 of my servers run flawlessly on 2.8 WITH all the same mods as servers 1 and 2, its a very weird issue and only seems to be affecting 2 of my missions/servers, in the interests of completion the maps that I'm having the issues on are Caucuses and Snowfox.   9. Hi man , quick question is there any way I can control or change the message that is displayed when saving persistence??
  10. Quick question is there any reason why the verbose = true for persistence would only show log messages (on screen during the game) whilst in single player. If you are running a mission on a server is there a reason this command doesn't seem to show messages such as "persistence is configured" like it does when running from the mission editor?? Thanks Also despite my persistenceConfig file being set as displayed below , for some reason DML seems to be looking for the path in my Dropbox folder which makes no sense because its not even configured for that folder. See pics below. EDIT: Like an idiot I was using the original persistence module, hadn't updated it. WORKING as intended now.

  12. Hi there , just stumbled across this today and It looks great however I'm being a little slow and I wonder if you can help me with a minor issue??. So I have the persistence setup pretty much HOWEVER , I have a non standard directory path on my saved games folder so I'm receiving the error in the onscreen verbose logs stating that the directory is incorrect: My DCS directory (GAME) on my dedicated server is at : E:\DCS (locally) and (M:\DCS\ is the mapped drive when viewing from my gaming desktop and my Save games path is : E:\Dropbox\Saved Games\Instance_X (M:\Dropbox\Saved Games\Instance_X on the Gaming Desktop when viewing the server locally).... where X is the instance from 1-7 of my server instances So on the persistenceConfig trigger in the mission I have the attribute : serverDir set to E:\Dropbox\Saved Games\INSTANCE_7 (in this case and I was setting the saveDir to : M:\Dropbox\Saved Games\Moose Stuff\Moose Project\MOOSE_MISSIONS-master\AAA - My Missions Which is where my Miz files are kept. I'm sure I'm doing something completely stupid and any pointers would be much appreciated as I'd love to get this working, Thanks Martin

  14. Wonder if anyone could help with this error I'm having (I think with skynet but the logs point to mist).   16. Has anybody gotten CTLD spawned units to be detecyed by and work with Skynet, and would be willing to share the code. I presently use the mist version of CTLD and (I believe skynet is using mist too), if anyone has got this working I would very much appreciate some pointers/code . Thanks Martin

Having some real issues getting this to work its probably me being stupid but: is the folder structure supposed to be /SAVEDGAMES/DCSOPENBETA/SCRIPTS/SPGG/*put files in here* or /SAVEDGAMES/DCSOPENBETA/SCRIPTS/*put files in here*. I'll get it working eventually, going back to the drawing board and starting on just one of my servers. Thanks. Disregard the above please, I started from scratch and removed the last step and seemed to get it working, I did start seeing a weird error that is something to do with cannot find DCS-SR-xxxx.exe which after a quick google search is apparently related to CTLD and SRS text to speech which is weird because im not using that. However , one question is the changing lines in ctld still required as thats the only thing i changed in any other scripts during the install?? Thanks again! Kind of a strange question but has anyone managed to get CTLD working with Skynet to give units that are spawned with CTLD a certain "prefix" so they are detected by skynet in my case the prefixes "RSAM" and "REWR", I asked Ciri and he confirmed it would be possible but that it would require knowing Lua, anyone of you smart cookies capable of that (I'm referring to the Mist version as that is what I use currently. Thanks in advance...
  20. Hi there glad to see this script. Is there a way to change the saved file name for those of us whom use multi instances of servers?
  21. Yep you have to add it to the units area in the script. One uses the Model Name (it says add model name in the comments) and the other is the Unit name. (The second part is where u can choose to enable crates and /or troops deployment) I set it to false for crates (obviously) but true for troops . Obviously u can't air drop them until the developers of the mod enable air drops (much like the herc team did for their mod) I hear it's coming in version 2.0 of the bronco. Oh also make sure your broncos unit names are also listed in the helicargo part of the list u can either type helicargo in the unit name or make your own (I called mine bronco 1 though 5). I'll paste my script snippet tomorrow I'm in bed ATM.
  22. Chief of staff in MOOSE can do exactly what you are looking for and then some , the possibilities are really endless, the problem I'm having is I'm garbage at Lua lol. Need to find someone to help me code , but yeah check it out see if it's what you are looking for I intend to use it to control ALL my AI from naval to ground to air, red and blue etc...   24. Hi, I reported this issue to Nineline and he asked me to report it to you guys believing the issue to be with the Taxiiways on the South Atlantic map. See below for timestamps of issues please... :All takes place at Mount Pleasant Airbase 1) at timestamp 11.07 (in game time) note the KC135 decides to pull out onto the end of the runway whilst aircraft are either taxiing to a takeoff position or actually taking off (this doesn't affect the smaller jets or the awacs but does cause a head on collision when the second tanker the KC135MPRS tries to take off) 2) at timestamp 11.20 (in game time) the MPRS attempts to take off using the vast majority of the runway and shortly before rotation collides with the KC135 head on due to it having parked on the runway as opposed to stopping short of the runway waiting for traffic to clear so it can taxi safely. 3) any other info required just ask, thanks, Martin P.S. Slightly related to this is the way ai is handled when taxiing at Port Stanley AND Mount Pleasant , granted I have scripted units but one always parks itself on the end of the runway whilst other large aircraft are taking off on the runway causing a head on collision every time. The AI really is terrible in DCS ATM.
