  1. @TheThumper, How do you turn off the animated slow flyby? I really like all the effects, but the constant motion is hard on the stomach. Can you just place the viewpoint on the deck, near the island?
  2. Are any 8K backers switching to 5K+ on this DCS thread? The latest reviews make me want to switch to the 5K+. Will PIMAX software be able to help the 8K with clarity?
  3. After listening to the latest reviews, I am unclear how you will launch DCS (non Steam), it looks like it has to be either a Oculus or Steam VR game to launch from the PITools software that goes with the headset. Anyone hear/know about DCS being used (non Steam) with PIMAX?
  4. WHere is the file location to remove the L and R DDI from the HUD only view?
  5. Everything was working fine until the latest windows 10 update. SSA beta boots up on DCS start, but no effects. Any ideas? Should I reinstall SSA? I tested the motors (massage function, they work).

  7. The ICLS needles appear shorter than the ones I have seen in actual HUD tapes for Legacy Hornets. Maybe the size of the ICLS needles have changed with the differnt Lots. Any thoughts? I posted this in the main thread but it was suggested to move to Bug report. Here is a video from VFA-37 cruise (flying the Charlie) HUD tapes show ICLS at 1:17 and 1:50 mark, needles look longer then the preview we have seen so far.   14. Had to clean up and update my export.lua for sim shaker, and also cleaned it up VIACOM 2.5.3. Now everything is working.

  17. OK, need some help. I have been a long time user of SSA and the Gametrix seat for DCS and P3D. With the Hornet release two weeks ago, I started using the SSA beta (1.2.01) in order to get DCS to talk to the Gametrix seat thru SSA Beta. This worked fine until the past few days when SSA beta connected for an update. Both the Beta and my normal version of SSA updated after starting up my computer, then both of them were running in tray icon at the same time. I shutdown the non beta SSA and started DCS and now it does not work. SSA Beta shows the F/A-18 is selected, but I do not get any effects as I did before in game. I tested the motors for the chair from the service tab and they are working, so the seat is OK. I tried the normal SSA (non beta) and had same problem, DCS F/A-18 not working. I tried to luanch both the SSA Beta and the SSA from the /local/apps/2.0/ folder and luanching the .exe. That worked for me a few weeks ago, but it does not change anything now. I checked Windows 10 defender center to disable any blocking on my security settings for apps. I use VIACOM and Voice Attack and thought I read this could be an issue. Any thoughts on how to fix or what to test next? Thanks!

  20. Can someone confirm they can get the VA call "Texaco, Inent to Refuel" to work with the latest version of VA pro and DCS 2.5 beta? I have not been able to get "Intent to Refuel" to work while I can get all other calls to work, including "Ready Pre Contact".

  24. I think JAR has it right. If you listen to the FP podcast where they interview an LSO on CASE I recoveries, that is how the LSO describes using the PLAT (for line up) and that the LSOs mainly use their eyeballs to grade the pass. Also, when you see pics of the controlling LSO, they are not even looking at the PLAT, just the jet. JAR, I second Sage's question and kudos! Hope the PLAT overlay is part of DCS plans or we can all use the one you created in the past. Would be cool if DCS gave some love to the LSO platform as well for us virtual LSOs in the payware carrier (funtional pickle switch and PLAT tv PIP oh my).
