If it says set xmit, Jester turns it on etc, it's the opposite of the reading. Xmit mean it's on and it is currently jamming and interfering incoming radio signals. Beware that it also lights up on radars that are propably not scanning you.

To be honest, I don't believe that Jester gets so much more options and features. Better target acquiring and locking, yes. A bit more comms work with ATC, maybe.

Agreed, especially F-14 sounds pretty awful. Heatblur just considers those sounds good and pretty final, although it sounds pretty much not like at Tomcat at all. I'm not sure are there much to do by modding. I've tried myself by replacing those external engine sounds with F-16 samples but they don't really sound what it's suppose to. F-18 on the other hand sounds quite good, especially with Echo-19's mod.

Not an issue since I have at least 5% on each axis, 10% on rudder.

I'm not touching anything. My hands are off the stick and throttle. First I thought it might be random stick error, some button or axis doing actions by itself but since it happens pretty much every time I'm kind of confused. I'm using X-55 hotas

My attemps to land with ACLS to the very end usually ends with it disabling itself close to the deck. Pretty much everytime I have to grab the stick and land by myself 1-2 seconds before touchdown. Approach etc. trim are just fine.

No I'm not. I don't even know are there any modern Hotas systems with FFB available.

I've managed to use it always, without any additional options enabled. Just make sure you know how to use it.

I know, that wasn't my question. I mean hud color setting, so that I can make it a bit deeper green. It's .lua file on somewhere but I dont know where.

Where and what file was the hud color setting located? I'd like to adjust that green color a little bit.

Pretty much every time it just misses when fired outside 5nm range.

Don't really see any difference. Pretty useless over 5nm, under 3,5nm range it's way too lethal with 80% hit accuracy.

+1 From what I've heard, F-14 was on steroids with GE engines so it's shame that they tone the performance down.

So it's only trigger for music, not anything else? I like those tracks but flying those missions over and over again they get kind of... dull :D. Thanks for these. :thumbup:

Tried ECM on various situations, not sure if it really does work. R-27s seem to be easily lost tracking even without chaff. R-33 on the other hand is quite different and handful. Pretty much Phoenix equivalent with it's accuracy.

When should ECM be enabled? In air combat or against ground targets to avoid SAMs? :book:

You honestly think those effects look great? Look basically every else module in DCS with plane that has afterburner and compare those effects to F-14 and tell me that they don't look better. Viggen has this problem too which is Heatblurs product too.

More important thing is that they look awful. So crappy compared to Hornet or Mirage for example. Please HB, do something about them. Add proper compression rings etc.

I gotta say, it is hard to fly without modern HUD. I've been playing flight sims for over 20 years now, starting from early days Amiga games to PC's Flight Simulator series to Falcon, Il-2 ww2 simulators and while those planes didn't have HUDs, flying the F-14 in FCS is the hardest thing to fully master. Reading speed gauge is hard work, just as altitude. AoA is just under control. Somehow flying with HUD just makes things so much easier and comfortable. I absolutely would not mind to have an F-14D module which would be the definitive version of this work of art.
