  1. So the F-16 doesn't automatically trim for asymmetric loads like the hornet? IRL? Trim in general is to granular in DCS. It has been a problem for the years I've been flying, regardless of airframe. No matter how I flick the trim I never can get it lined out.
  2. Thanks Bailey. Much appreciated!
  3. Didn't this used to be standalone and allow HARM Table exports?
  4. GCI for Blue if possible, Red if that's filled already.
  5. Hello all, I'm having some issues with a warthog base and verpil stick. I've tried moving around USB ports, and I intend to pick up a powered port shortly but I'm wondering if there is another fix as this problem has came and went. I'll be flying along and suddenly I have a bunch of button presses on my stick, only the stick, even if I'm not touching it. It is super annoying as it has even fired weapons when not intended. Anyone have any suggestions for fixes outside of a powered USB port? Like I said, I'm going to try that just not sure if it will fix the issue. Last time it got progressively worse until I went though a firmware update which was super painful and I don't remember how to do.
  6. Not to worry, I usually am the same way. I'm so salty you'd think I was in the Navy, so dont worry about it! No offense intended or recieved! We used the heck out of those baby's right after fielding them over in Bosnia and they sure did us great work. I was really floored when they did away with them. Not sure what the cav units are using now, if anything. 1-7 cav was a really diverse organization back then. Another funny one I threw a ratchet at a KW pilot one time because he came to a hover right over our hide and was throwing our crap everywhere with his wash. He was cracking up until I hit the bottom of his bird with our ratchet lol. I was so angry. But having them running overhead was always comforting!
  7. Wasn’t really saying it was a good idea necessarily, but I do know when we deployed elements of 1-7 and 1-227 (I think if memory serves) which was a Apache unit that we lost a lot of payload compared to Ft. Hood. And honestly I’m good with a modification attempting to be better at what they are doing at the expense of service life. Service life isn’t worth much if you get yourself shot to beans. But you sound as though you’ve got time in type, I respect that knowledge as mine is planning and ops and a whole different barrel for sure. I was making the point that it can be done and was in the field by units. Thanks for the input. I’d still like to have seen it as an option. Not that I won’t grab the module based on that at all, I will and I’m excited about it. Not so funny story, we had one go down in Bosnia (not sure I heard why) and while the crew was getting out of the aircraft the mast broke and one of them recalled they watched it come down and thought it would come through the glass but it didn’t. He told it with a nervous chuckle not Kong after the crash. We flew the hell out of them then at 74 average hours a month and the hand wringing then. Can’t imagine the 90 hour OPTEMPO you are talking about and the screeching from safety officers and contractors.
  8. I suggest Cowboys Over Iraq. I’ll also say we fielded them in 1-7 CAV and we planned to have the ability to yank them in the field if we deployed to Iraq in summer. The best recon tool is the cavalryman. The optics are nice but not used much while flying but once hovering. And given the weight issues in the desert the authors unit yanked theirs in favor of some performance gain. So there’s at least one CAV squadron that did it for part of a deployment. I’m fairly certain 3ID did it at one point as well because I’ve seen photos of their Kiowa without the mast. Maybe they had only fielded some KW next to Charlie’s though.
  9. I ask as I’m reading a book now in which 2-7 CAV yanked theirs in Iraq 2003 to have better performance as they weren’t using hellfires. It would be very handy in high temps or High altitude.
  10. Will we be able to configure this in the load out selection?
  11. Love the program! I realized today that it didn't save my presets as I was fooling around. I wanted to make sure it was working correctly... But when I went to the F18 which seemed fine yesterday I get a error: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\TEWS\device\CMDS_ALE47.lua' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.StreamWriter.CreateFile(String path, Boolean append, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding, Int32 bufferSize, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding) at System.IO.File.WriteAllLines(String path, String[] contents) at DCSF18ALE47Programmer.Form1.button_export_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4180.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- DCSF18ALE47Programmer Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Users/ramey/OneDrive/Desktop/DCS-CMS-Editor%20by%20Bailey%20v2.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4150.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4001.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4190.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4180.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- Accessibility Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.3752.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Accessibility/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Accessibility.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 12. Cole I was thinking the same thing.... m4s just tossed up there it appears?
  13. I’d suggest the 104th server. Great crowd and ever evolving missions. Hop on tea speak and srs for best effect!
  14. That’s just it it goes across everyone in the server. And I’m posting in the MP forum, so we can assume that’s where I’m referring to. I’ve got a handle on the folks who are good and not and there for almost a week I had good consistency. But on nights like tonight I can launch say a Phoenix at 30,000 feet, Mach 1.2 at 40 miles... watch it go pit bull and have it miss a target that’s not maneuvering enough to show on the repeater display. It’s most apparent in the tomcat to me because of the jester drops. There for a bit I was able to keep a tws basket around the target. Then the past two days it simply doesn’t matter what I do, PALs won’t find a target well within parameters over open ocean and tws drops, and locking in STT won’t hold. And I’m not referring to when I’m being notched, I get that and understand loosing lock then. I’m more wondering about connection or something. I’m far from good but watching numerous shots work one day and not the next especially on targets that seem to have forgotten their ew gear makes me really scratch my head. And sorry I have no idea how to post track files. Do they have net data on them I should be looking at?
  15. Hello all, My DCS experience has been very frustrating. I got through the steep learning curve, but one day I’ll have some success with missile shots that a few days later I have zero success with. And it won’t be one sortie it will be a whole session. My ping is low 200s at most when I e thought to look. So what changes? My tacview files just don’t seem To show anything crazy. Where should I be looking?
  16. In speed and angels one of the nuggets talks about firing a mavrerick on a target in Iraq...
  17. I realized that randomly jester seems to tune FM instead of AM fres, such as GUARD which until this latest patch was always set to AM. Now I can’t seem to force him to do AM. Is there a command I’m missing? Or can we fix that somehow?
  18. Any update on what tools will be available from there?
  19. Hello, I have a crazy question I haven't found an answer for anywhere. I was using my ipad as a second display and moved the BRAA window to it from LOTATC... And it disappeared. I have changed resolutions, disconnected the ipad, everything but I can't get it back. Any ideas on how to get it to display back where it came from?
  20. Holbeach that worked!!!!! Thank you all so much. This helps a bunch. Whew. Much appreciated gents!
  21. Mike, I tried that, it will add but if I add it and say whatever key it won't do what that key binding does if I hit the keys. Hol I'll try that and see.
  22. Odd I noticed my controls had reset today... I tried adding the pinky as a modifier which works, but it + another button still doesn't modify that button's action.
  23. Doesn't work. Flat doesn't work. I've done the uninstall step by step, installed step by step, and the profile manager does not work properly. I mapped a switch for battery on, just in case. Doesn't work. Another button however will select AMRAAM that is mapped to do so. Since battery on doesn't have anything mapped, I mapped it to left arrow, replacing the bank left command. The key command works, I am in mode one, mapped to mode one, etc. So when I try to use the profile it concerns me that I don't have full functionality. Now I have everything else mapped in the DCS key mapper and that seems to work just fine. Until I attempt to use the pinky switch. It recognizes it to add as a modifier but when I add it as a modifier to, say joystick button 4, nothing happens. It shows it saved but it does not execute the command requested. So I'm not making it work for some reason either way. I'd love for it to work through DCS but don't mind using the stick's software. I just really need more buttons, and the stick is designed for it - and works in other games. Thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep them coming. Someone has the answer I'm sure.
  24. When I did that and combined it with another button it doesn’t seem to be working. So I’m doing something wrong in there somewhere.
  25. I’ve been using that for a Srs talk switch. That effects the pinky?
