  1. I’ve found that if you tell him to tune radio Stennis, if it’s a programmed frequency in the channels, he’ll change to that channel, even if you had given him a manual freq previously. Haven’t had much use for doing it that way recently, but it was how it functioned in the past.
  2. In the VIACOM configuration window, in the settings is the option to disable the Jester menu. Uncheck that, restart VoiceAttack and DCs, you should be good to go
  3. As the title states, I'll land the Turkey, and retract the slats and flaps, and the right slat stays extended, even after sweeping the wings. I have included the (what I believe is) track from the Navigation training mission. When watching it, please excuse my poor landing, as I am still learning the bird. tempMission.miz.trk
  4. I don’t expect it to actually happen, just thought it was an interesting article, and wanted to share.
  5. So just came across this article today: http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/24741/new-3d-audio-will-allow-a-10-pilots-to-hear-alerts-come-from-the-direction-of-the-threat What are chances of our A-10s getting a deep overhaul and re-wing?
  6. They’re correct for USN fixed wing aviation platforms. Think of it as Green for high, because you’re fast, and not going to slam into the boat; Orange/yellow for on speed because you are within the narrow margin of safety; red because you’re low, and about to die.
  7. This worked for me. Found a different post when searching the forums, there is no page to review your bound serials. You have to go the e-shop product page. After entering the key from my email into the coupon field, the F-14 module shows that I have a license for it.
  8. Yes, didn’t appear to have any effect. Though that may be (and this is purely speculative) because I didn’t pause/break to actually begin the mission.
  9. If it helps in reproducing, the only time I encountered ending up on the bow cats I had entered the mission planner to see what the radio presets were. When I then went to load the mission, I was on the starboard now cat staring down the parked planes. Exiting to the main menu and then reloading the campaign, I started on the proper cat.
  10. Adding the autoexec.cfg to the config folder seems to have done the trick. I was able to load a mission set in the Persian Gulf without a crash. Haven’t had the opportunity to try flying a mission yet, but the instant action carrier cold and dark in the PG loaded, and both of those are miles beyond what was happening before adding that file.
  11. Uninstalled and reinstalled all modules, campaigns and terrains, still crashed to desktop when trying to load Persian Gulf.
  12. When doing the second mission of that campaign, I got sprayed by AAA fire, and lost my centerline tank and got my internal tanks punctured. Managed to nurse it to about a mile and a half from the air base, where upon getting up to 8.1 AoA my tanks emptied due to the location of the leak, turned into a very heavy glider and promptly bailed out.
  13. Just had the crash in the mission editor while trying to adjust the payload for a generated mission. dcs.log-20180902-012334.zip
  14. Was turning to make a bombing run, and the game crashed. I had changed the FA-18C.lua to allow the IMER with 6 Mk82s, but was not using it in this mission, I have since reverted it back after the crash. Attached is my log dcs.log-20180826-201524.zip
  15. More of an educated guess than anything based on inside information as I do not know any Marine or naval aviators, but likely weight concerns.
  16. I chuckled. I haven’t yet been able to load it up, so scan not say if it can be disabled. Per the video, this is actual functionality in the plane, so unless they implemented a toggle like they did for the finger lifts, I doubt it can be disabled.
  17. It was supposed to be a drag reduction to the gear that was getting updated. Wouldn’t cause an increase in power for landing. I asked about it on Wednesday, and IvanK responded that the drag reduction did not make it into this update.
  18. The reason I posted the question was because it was mentioned in Wags’ post from Friday last week that it should be in this update. I didn’t see it listed in the log, and I was asking if it got missed in the log, or, wasn’t merged in as had happened ed to the single/ripple select in the last update.
  19. Anybody have a chance to test out the new update yet? Did the drag reduction for the landing gear go in? Didn’t see it in the above quoted notes from the change log.
  20. If you extend the launch bar, it disengages NWS. Don’t drop the bar until you’re lined up on the cat ETA: at least that was what I found caused a similar issue for myself
  21. Thank you both for the replies again. I had the chance to test it with m y 3 year old on my lap, and it did work. Just need to get rid of the co-pilot and improve my aim. ;-)
  22. Elysian and bignewy, I have not mapped those yet, I’ve been mapping them as needed. I will try that when I get home, and test. I’ll let you know from there if it continues. Thanks for the direction to troubleshoot!
  23. Hey all, I'm attaching 2 tracks. Both are instant action missions. The first is the A/A Guns mission, and the second is the AIM-9 mission. I have been unable to get my gun to fire. I at first thought this was related to the DEGD alert in the BIT for stores, but that does not appear to be the case. It also is not an issue (AFAIK) of the trigger being mapped incorrectly, as in the AIM-9 mission, the trigger fires missiles successfully. Anything that I'm missing that could explain why I'm unable to get my gun to fire? Thanks. WeaponsDegradedAAGunInstant.trk WeaponsDegradedAIM9.trk
