  1. Hmm, what are talking about? What is an old version? Just name the version with a number. Release version... older version... The screenshot I provided was made in 2.5.0, where u can turn deffered shading on or off. I never installed another version of DCS.
  2. Maybe try to delete all caches in ur user folder? Just an idea. I am not sure, whether it helps.
  3. No, it's not because ur brain thinks u are there, it's beacause ur eyes gives another information than ur stomach and ears. And that confuses ur brain. And you loose the sickness after a time, cause ur brain is getting used to this fail information and has learned to handle it, that u feel better.

    Blue fog

Yes, since I realized, that Fog looks so blue, essentially when flying early in the morning or evening, I never fly with fog enabled, cause it just looks so ugly blue. If U mix it with low clouds, I always gtting a white flash, when diving into the clouds. They become very bright from moment to another. I am wondering, how this guy made such a nice looking condition. Maybe it's an older version? Or very beautyful here: If I try to rebuild, my fog gets blue. Not grey like here.
  5. Sry? What do u mean? I wanted to say, that these settings can be found in 2.5.0, which I am using. I didn't know, that this feature has gone in the open beta, which is the version meant by this thread.
  6. Just some render-engine information. Count of seen objects/traingles /etc Memory Usage, etc..
  7. I get motion sickness, when I play a sim (race or flight) without using my VR-Headset. Seems my brain misses something. Beside the fact, that flying in 2D again, is just not... I would say satisfying. And driving in 2D is just not possible anymore. I don't feel and see anything. Specially when driving in VR, u can feel the 3D movment of ur body. U feel oversteer etc.. The most important setting to avoid motion sickness in race sims, is, to lock the camera to the horizon. If you lock the camera to the cockpit, any tiny bump goes in your head, but not in your ear. It's better the car shakes under your head, than ur head itself.
  8. Yes, but is not 100% correct. It all depends on the illumination intensity. E.g. If urself can see the concrete of the runway 50m in front of you, you would see the runway lights in a distance about maybe 200m (dpending on fog situation). Cause the lights have much more "energy" sending more photons through the fog. But I agree with u. The fog behavior is strange. Mixed with low level clouds -> ugly. Why this fog is soo blue in low sun conditions? Strange.
  9. I reinstalled FC3 again. And finally, trimming works now! Nose down -> nose down! Strange, cause I tried the Su-33 the first time after purchase. Thank you very much for ur help. To know, that trimming should work, cause it just works, was the path to victory :D
  10. Yes, i will try that. For doing that, I can deinstall FC3 through the DCS GUI and reinstall it again? Or how to repair the Su-33/27? Maybe its Version 2.5.0? Can u show me a screenshot with flight control viewer visible, while u have a nicely trimmed flight? So, I can compare.
  11. Oh, I repeat my post, cause I might have edited after ur post: ... And I figured out, that: Pitch and Roll trim don't have any effect. If I fly smooth and adjust these trims, nothing changes in flight behavior, but this little cirle in the control viewer is moving... Rudder trim totally affects the flight behavior. So, this seems to work in my Version of the Su-33 :D. I fly in 2.5.0. No User-Mods. Strange... Edit: Same in the Su-27: No reactions on pitch and roll trim.
  12. At any plane, I setup my complete own Hotkeys. So, I am 100% sure, that it's not doubled. But I try that. Edit: Tried, and, yes, I can move this tiny little circle up/down/left/right. Even with much pitch own, I fly loopings all the time, if I leave the stick. And I figured out, that: Pitch and Roll trim don't have any effect. If I fly smooth and adjust these trims, nothing changes in flight behavior, but this little cirle in the control viewer is moving... I really would like to know, if you fly about 1000m height, with about 500 kmh, whether in this situation, u can trim to a leveled flight? Maybe I press too short? Feels like after holding the trim key for about 4-5 seconds, nothing is happening any more.
  13. Hey guys. I am searching for the carrier, we can see in the product video and on all pictures here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/planes/su-33_fc/ That one looks very nice and detailed. But in the Mission Editor, I just can see this low-poly-and-detail-bad-textured-russian "admiral..." carrier. Can anyone tell me, how to place the nice version I can see in the video?
  14. No FF-Stick.
  15. No, not really. My Version of the Su-33 always wants to pull up. At any speed, at any height. Even @takeoff she goes to 80° climb, if I don't push the nose down. Trimming to the max just helps a bit.
  16. Hi there. I have problems pitch trimming the Su-33. I can pitch the maximum down, but I still have to push the stick all the time to keep my altitude. That makes flying manualy a bit hard. How do you handle leveled flying?
  17. Save the replay and replay it in 2D. If U don't change view while playing, it's like live.
  18. Landing lights in DCS don't have shadows enabled. So, u see it through all objects. Possible and very easy solution for the devs: Simply just wait turning on the lights, after they have rotated and aiming not in the cockpit anymore.
  19. I analyzed a screenshot, which i made at night and checked the colors. The darkest color value I found (in the night sky), is: R 4 G 4 B 4 With an ingame gamma of 2.0. So, DCS has NO 100% blacks in the rendered image. And thats why, we all have this red/green/grey haze. The Oculus pushes these low values a bit, that we are able to see low values. But this makes this haze in DCS. So, if the DCS render engine image output would be re-offsetted, we all would have a great night VR flight experience. Or just the whole range from zero should be used. Like in the loading screen, where u have a 100% black environment and NO haze, while loading and moving the head around. Noone has haze there. It's up to the DEVS to fix this RGB "offset". Either the gamma calcualtion is incorrect, or they shift the picture before applying the gamma curve. A gamma curve keeps zero values untouched. If the values would be 100% black before applying the gamma, they stay 100% black. If u pull down the gamma as much as possible, the haze dissappears. Is there a way to adjust RGB-curves for the oculus output? Or what the Oculus receives? Regards Vannipo Even a Screenshot made in 2D shows the offseted luminance. It's not pushed by the oculus itself. Maybe an NVidia Problem? Or just the render-engine of DCS.
  20. Ah, ok. I am not in beta
  21. No it's not forced. U can disable it. Just disable it. It eats much fps. specially on trees. And there u can see the biggest difference in visual beauty.
  22. Simply, that is not true. Of course u can enable or disable it in the settings. Nothing special about it.
  23. Hopefully ED recognizes that... The solution is quite simple.
  24. Here with Oculus, yes.
