Maybe one percent is groundhandling pal, it is really not that hard. Actually pretty fun and just a matter of time till you get the hang of it. Decent hotas and rudders, it is no problem at all. Don't you give up !

For DCS, especially the warbirds you got to have a decent setup. Buy good rudders, good joystick and base, throttle is not that important. It will be expensive but you can fly the planes like it was or is in real life. In addition you hardly can stop because good hardware is such a great feel. Crosswind pedals, virpil or vkb base and stick and thrustmaster t16000 throttle is the perfect setup in my eyes.

True, module is just so much fun. Funny, these little underpowered planes are such a joy to fly.

Cool, enjoy! The view in the 109 is still limited due to the nature of that cramped cockpit. It's a pretty unique little beast.

Sound is quite ok, the radial engine sound isn't much pronounced though. Yak 52 in DCS has the best engine sound. I use "hear like in helmet" so maybe that makes a difference too.

A8 is fine mate, some complain about that bar next to the gun sight but thats no big deal. Will be fixed soon anyway if it's not the way it was in the real crate. The 109 view is bad because of the protection plate above the pilots head. The game tries to avoid this by auto shifting arround that very plate. I move my pilot a little forward, 20 times pressing RShift + RCtrl + * on the Numblock. Before this I hit Enter on Numblock to get a more realistic FOV. I don't use zoom so these two steps give me a realistic seating position / view in the 109.

and if you have problems, "hammer" her in the air! lots of throttle helps on liftoff, you can use less power later when you feel more confident.

no assists, no auto rudder, aircraft handles like a breeze. little counter rudder on takeoff thats all. A8 is basically like a WWII trainer.

What I am trying to say: there will be no experts with the A8 in it's current state.

Nobody, really nobody complained the speed is not up to the Doras.

Of course the A8 can't hunt in Dora territory ! No problem at all. It is not as good as the Dora I get this. The aircraft released today just can't do anything except spraying bullets.

Prop pitch was auto, MAD tried to find out how to get the manual pitch to work. There will be no change in speed, pich man or auto, the aircraft is underperforming. The A8 brings nothing to the table, it is too weak overall and I don't buy this. It was a huge step in aviation and well known for it's versatility and power.

Is there an engine setting ? Lol There is no MW50 as I was told by MAD ... So whats to configure other than throttle fully forward ? Rads where closed all the time ...

By the way: I like that module a lot ! Sound is good but not perfect, handling is super easy. Takeoffs n landings are a breeze, rudder is well done and not that overresponsive ... Lot's to like, except the performance.

You basically need a fighter escort to bring it near the target area.

Don't know why but the A8 is just so slow. Spits turning behind you and overshoot, there is nothing you can do with this plane. Is this really the butcher bird the brits feared?

and by the way, can we have a system where kills only count if you make it back to your own airfield.

blue flag normandy has the problem that you are stuck to blue or red. if there are three reds and no blue i would take a blue slot but we alreqdy chose a side. very hard to populate this server with such a small player base.
