  1. the Spitfire is a beast in MP in its current state, you just can't run from or chase an axis aircraft. Which makes flying the Spit pretty unique. She climbs like a rocket, turns on a dime without loosing pretty much any speed, has brutal guns and overheating got patched so no problem here eather. What remains is you never decide when the fight starts and ends, still to low topspeed. Good luck flying deep into enemy territory, they will boom on and your turn rate won't bring you home. You just keep sitting arround in hostile airspace... with labels on everybody will jump on you. Axis aircraft still have all the choices. When to fight and when to retreat and go home. It is the most important advantage in my eyes. Airspeed matters!

  4. As long as the weather engine stays that way DCS is a mediocore sim at best. Those clouds kill it for me. Rotating when looked at, in MP clouds for everyone are different, etc ... New weather should be high priority, it is what makes a flight sim, if done badly, it kills the whole immersion.

  7. Spits don't loose energy somehow. Try this with a friend: take a 109 and fly head on with a spit. Let the Spit turn in on you while the 109 just starts to climb straight without turning. The Spitfire is like glued to your six after the turn. Clearly seen in the replay or in 3rd person view.
  8. Good to have people like you phil, thank you very much. Hard bread as we say here in Germany but never give up. It is our game, our dream, props are so much fun !!!
  9. Remove the AI Phil and all labels too, promote the server and let it run 24/7. We need a counterpart to Burning Skies. If we get folks to play on your server we could get a boost for WWII MP in DCS. Bomber AI is ok though, fighter AI makes people leave. I know, servers are expensive but only Saturdays helps nobody. You could make us pay somehow, I don't know ... Again fellas, spotting might be hard but labels destroy WWII MP servers. If we loose the part where we have to search or can hide and sneak the whole thing is a mess. Whats the point just flying to the next label furball. It isn't that hard, P 51 flicker over forrests, sometimes you loose a contact, sounds good to me ...
  10. I dont use labels on Burning Skies anymore, only then you get used to spotting in DCS. It's not that bad and I can clearly see WWII planes 20+ km out. Those pop up labels kill everything. Traffic sign to the next furball, just let's all meet over there.
  11. Servers are empty, why another WWII map ? People tend to rather discuss when and what octane fuel got into service or what version of XY aircraft we need to get a more realistic scenario. Somehow there is lots of talking but nobody flies in MP. Folks refuse to play it in DCS. Burning Skies is the only server with at least some players on it (empty most of the daytime though). And Burning Skies uses Caucasus map lol. We dreamed of bomber intercepts when Normandy comes out ... We got it, dead horse now. It changed nothing ! Another WWII map ? Really ? We need a Vietnam map and better clouds n weather, existing modules should be finished till they are 100 % bug free and complete.
  12. By sinking I mean the split second that I get pulled back towards the runway right when the main wheels lift off. Once in the air she flies ok, just a little change in AoA if the wheels go up. No problem there ..,
  13. Just tested your advice, without wind, easy peasy. All normal. Wind messes the Mirage takeoff up, checked the replays many times. It does crazy stuff right when the main wheels lift off. It is like the wind in the air is different calculated then on the ground. It feels like that something kicks in or is changing during takeoff roll. Test it, no wind sukhumi kaukasus, full fuel, no weapons. AB on or off, doesn't make a difference. Wind on and the main wheels do the crazy glue / magetic stuff. I mostly fly MP and there is always wind, thats why all my takeoffs feel weird in the Mirage. Never had problems with all the other modules ...
  14. It seems you don’t have the proper take off technique. For AA load rotate at 122kt, put inverted T in the HUD on horizon, giving you 13 degrees AoA and wait for the plane to lift off. It won’t sink after that if you do your part. :smilewink: Roger, I will give it a few runs and do exactely as you said yoyo. For me the M2000 is the only plane that has this weird takeoff behaviour. If I go full burner and hammer her ip quick and steep - no problem but feels very unrealistic. If I am patient and try to gentle lift her off the ground it always seems like my main wheels are glued to the runway. At liftoff it seems something pulls me back on the runway again for a second.
  15. The M2000 is a great module in DCS but it is still unfinished and seems to get not much love anymore. It is a shame ... INS alignment works even if you start taxiing or even take off, radar altimeter gives us lower fps, the button and switches behave ultra weird, still not possible to map cockpit illumination to axis and many other missing mappings. Never tried A to G because guess why ... Unfinished systems. The takeoff itself is horrible, it's like the plane is glued to the runway, sinks again after wheels up, terrible, I start to hate this lovely module just because of this.

  17. Had to dig this thread out. The M2000 has terrible takeoff behaviour. There is something like it is glued to the runway. Mostly the right side, it just kicks once more when you take off. Very annoying, please fix this, the F 14 for example is smooth like butter.
  18. Mirage in third person view has the same sound loop over and over. Just for the devs info. It repeats every 10 seconds or so. Otherwise I like it very much. Sounds good.
  19. You're right, if those MAC planes never show up in the MP servers and fight against their own ... I am not so sure about that though. We will see ...
  20. ... so I voice my feedback here and say that everyone I fly with is strictly against MAC. If somebody is not willing to start lets say with a F 5 and learn those few switches it's just the wrong game. There are more important things to do, we need better clouds and weather ... and a Vietnam map for example. Non clickable aircrafts should be a thing of the past. We still have a bad mix of arcade F 15's against high fidelity planes on almost every MP server. This is the wrong direction, there should be a standard. This is a Sim, that's why we're here ...

  23. Can we have a realistic alignment ? Taxi during INS aligning is pretty poor for a realistic Simulator.
