Not the Tiger, its a cool aircraft but there is just no sound feedback coming from the engines. Sounds like a glider if you have the box hear like in helmet checked. Sorry to say, really nice plane otherwise. F18 is a beast but pretty boring to fly too, I'd say the Harrier is the most fun fixed wing as of now.

As for engine failures, try the following: 1. only use MW50 as an absolute emergency boost. If you fly the Dora as recommended which is pretty much boom n zoom you are still the fastest horse in town. Your speed will always be top of the line as long as you don't get jumped from one of the allied planes by surprise. 2. Work the radiators, map them to your Hotas and watch the temps. You will see that your temps drop quickly by opening the rads just two or three clicks. Give her a little break but keep the speed up. 3. She hates going slow or even worse going high AoA's while beeing slow. Give her constant airflow, avoid slow and verical maneuvers at all costs. 4. Avoid flying low for a longer period of time, it seems the Dora doesn't like beeing near the deck. Never had an engine failure at high altitude like 3000 m or so. 5. Do not kick the throttle back and forth. Bad for all prop engines. Gentle mate ! I was about to quit flying the Dora because of those sudden engine blows ... after paying attention and working the radiators, never had a single engine blow on me ever since. And I had my MW50 running for minutes because of mustangs chasing me. It seems to be a combination off the above described things to keep the engine running and maybe a lot more. This just worked for me, now I need to learn to roll her proper arround an enemy.

If I glance outside the front part of the cockpit there is a weird looking panel visible on each side. Maybe at one o' clock left and right, a little low. This seems like a bug to me, the panel on the Migs nose part seems to have a gap ... Track IR here, just move up a little and have a look ... Is this meant to be ?

I can't hit the broad side of a barn now, no hits at all with the 21. Guess I have to adapt my tactics to those rear aspect only stuff. Great server though, thx. We need radio presets for the L 39 like the Mig 21 has. Could not reach a single ATC.

I can't map the bogey dope request in the F 5 controlls, it is greyed out. Mig 21 for example works just fine. Please fix this, it is a very handy and important command / shortcut for the F 5 in combat. Thx

Always thought Alaska is the only end of the world ))) ... For me labels off, zooming outside cockpit forced disabled, never had problems spotting, but never bought VR because the res is so bad.

I wish ED or someone else would care about the Mig, it is a shame to see those bugs. Can't drop weapons with mouse click, landing lights shine through cockpit bottom, etc. Why does it take so long to give us a clearer cockpit option ?

Same here, lower fps with the mig. And landing lights shine through the cockpit lol, please give this bird some love. It is still the most produced jet aircraft on this planet, a very important module for DCS.

We need a new weather engine period. Compared to all the nice modules we have and will get the weather looks terrible. We still have not the same weather (clouds) in MP for everyone. We all get different clouds on the same server.

We need a new weather engine ! This is a flight sim and the weather as of now is not good enough. In MP everybody gets different clouds which sucks big time. This sim needs it so much ...

Update to open beta, that fixed it for me two weeks ago.

I would prefer to have the labels off eekz, it is closer to a simulation than those dark spots. Sure spotting is harder but I never had a problem spotting at 1080p, 1440p, even 4k was fine. Since yesterday it is a comedy, finding targets is a very big part in aerial combat and it is always fun to scan the map for other aircraft. The labels are like GPS to the next dogfight furbal. Takeoff, go to labels, repeat ... And hiromachi ... Disconnecting during a dogfight just brings them very bad reputation, that is already a massive penalty )))

Server doesn't show up again and if I try to connect via IP it says server is offline. Running open beta, two days ago it was fine. Now again the server is invisible and can't join a MP session by typing in the IP adress ... WTF ?!?

Try dynamic weather, the preset weather options cause stutter. If I use the sliders to set up base, thickness, etc. it always gives me those short freezes and hickups. Just go to dynamic to the right and type in what you like.

Some modules may be a little harder on your hardware but not to those extend. It is really not that one module runs fine and another runs poor. The differences are margial which lets us to the point that the game is poorly optimised. I really have the feeling that evetything above 60 fps makes things worse ... Cant explain but my new monitor gives me microstutter even with gsync at arround 100 fps. My poor old 60 hz TV runs just fine at 60. So a big NO to "Should I upgrade my hardware to get better performance".
