  1. he is making a a serious suggestion for you to consider, and if you read through the various sub boards, he is a most helpful person and quite ( more times than not ) often comes up with the correct solution take a step back and give the suggestions a good think through
  2. don't know if this should go here, or in the music thread [ame] [/ame]
  3. the Intel 77 chipset wasn't stable Which why it is always important to stress test (with a known good product for such) that the OC is in fact stable Just cranking up the settings and heading off with the hair on fire... etc, etc, etc (the rave is known)
  4. Fight time drive tape.... [ame] [/ame] [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UWRypqz5-o[/ame] [ame] [/ame]

  7. Sherman: Can I drive? Mr Peabody: Not bloody likely
  8. But what are your system specs? (complete specs... TIR, maybe - which driver version?) In general... if 3rd party addons are being used, perhaps try uninstalling them all, return the system to standard/ default, and see how the sim runs - if it is fine, try the system preferences you like - then if the sim runs fine, one by one, install an addon and test before installing the next one, and so forth (its not hard)
  9. Actually, you do have it > look here < a tad difficult to comprehend what you are saying there when posts are timestamped so close together, perhaps you realized that? yes, but you were being asked for your for description of your stuttering - make sense?
  10. No, I wasn't "talking" about CPU cache settings, or the disc cache, for that matter, as you offered... I was "talking" about 'Prefetch' as you mentioned :) (kill it in services.msc) If you're not running a Z77, then good for you :) yes... if the chipset is unstable, there would be quite a range of 'problems', not all being apparent. If you could define your "stuttering" that would go quite a way to giving you help, seeing some of the obvious has been eliminated - and perhaps offer up, as to what brand/ model your motherboard is, what your harddrives are, etc, etc?
  11. Have you tried turning Prefetch off? Also, the Z77 chipset is basically, unstable
  12. @ Sithspawn... ( #14 ), we do like that, we do want :) @ Slipball... ( #15 ) Kudos
  13. Your video card overlays ( maps ) its memory over the system RAM... so whatever size RAM your VGA is, means that amount is taken away from the full amount of system RAM. Also the motherboard reserves a certain amount (varies from mobo to mobo) for its own hardware use, further reducing the total amount of System RAM
  14. But, there is a lot of detail there
  15. Minimum system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i3; RAM: 8 GB; Free hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: 2 GB RAM card, DirectX11 - compatible; requires internet activation. Recommended system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+; RAM: 16GB; Hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 / ATI R9 290 DirectX11 or better; Joystick; requires internet activation.
  16. Also, if people could post their system specs (complete specs) it could go a way to well helping nail what's going on... because not all players are having problems, only some. Help people to help you
  17. [ame] [/ame] Please, can we have a Mozzie?
  18. Perhaps affected by FoV settings? (different from the ingame default) just a question here Also, I don't see how "Real Life" is irrelevant though, considering this is a sim, but carry on...
  19. Perhaps a bit strong yourself, with the "hypotheticals"? the chap, and anyone else, after 11yrs of flying, even as a passenger in an airliner (flying regularly) understands fully.... that to flick the eyes away even for a moment makes a condition for reacquiring - my point
  20. if you're doing that, you're not concentrating on your (real life, civilian) Flight Panel, which you should be. As soon as you take your eyes off "target" to check your panel, you have to reacquire "target", which takes a bit, because they've moved. Could you explain what you mean by "zooming out"? it might be helpful to the discussion
  21. [ame] [/ame] :) [ame] [/ame]
