  2. Good stuff. Thanks for the upgrades. Might I humbly request to add target elevation to the JTAC reports in a future update? Would really be helpful for JSOW/JDAM loadouts.
  3. My personal observations after playing 3 different scenarios: A very challenging mission for purely single player in the F/A-18 in air-to-ground. Extremely difficult to penetrate air defenses even with SEAD support. HARMs get knocked out of the sky pretty easily by the network. Even on some of the missions outside of the concentrated MR/LR SAM networks(Bandar-e-Jask, for example), SA-15 TOR's defend the primary assets and SEAD support doesn't engage them effectively, often turning and burning before being shot down. Without a TGP(running stable release) to identify targets, JDAM's and JSOWS can't be utilized here as there is no target location/elevation data for the individual assets. Only a grid reference and an AO LAT/LONG (no elevation) is provided. Single player limitations aside, a very well designed mission and much fun to play. Very skillful use of MOOSE in combination with the advanced functions of the Mission Editor. It's a mission definitely more conducive to cooperative play with a mix of aircraft each performing different roles(maybe an A-10C performing FAC and passing coordinates to Hornets for JSOWs), yet still engaging for solo romps. Looking forward to playing this more with the Hornet when the TGP hits stable. Also, Warthog pilots would appreciate the A-10's starting from Khasab instead of Ras Al Khaimah further south. Don't make the slowest plane fly the longest distance. First thing I changed in the ME.
  4. There is a trigger in the mission [ONCE - F10 Menu INIT, NO EVENT] which will try to load a mission named "Through_The_Inferno_South_v181ht.miz". It is activated by someone in the SU-27 entering the zone named "klsv" or any blue coalition unit passing into the zone named "AAA_Zone". I think this is a residual trigger that the author was using for debug purposes. It doesn't appear to have any value otherwise. You can open the mission in the editor and either delete this trigger or move the two zones to the edges of the map where they will never be entered.
  5. TIME MORE is the global mission time (exactly as TIME MORE trigger condition). Think of DURATION behaving like "TIME SINCE FLAG" - in this case, time since advanced waypoint action initiated.
  6. I've run several A2G missions on this and have noticed an issue with the JTAC lasing: it is not prioritizing high value targets (SAMs / AAA) over normal ground targets. This is typically a default behavior of CTLD when the units in question have "priority" or "hpriority" in the unit name. Essentially, a fuel truck is being lased while a Strela 13 is 500 feet away. I checked the file in ME to see what was up. The SAM & AAA units that Moose uses for the spawn pool are correctly configured with priority/hpriority in the unit names. When these units are spawned however, the unit name in the mission becomes a set of numbers (per the post-game report), so it appears to not be keeping priority/hpriority in the unit name. Also, I see an SA-15 Tor unit in the spawn pool objects. It does not show up in the SAM or AAA filter list. Is it simply not used?
  7. This can be done though it isn't intuitive. Steps in order: Select your group Press the template icon In the template menu, rotate the "wheel" or punch in the angle desired IMPORTANT: press the template icon AGAIN (deactivates template menu) Select one of the units in your group Deselect the unit by clicking on the map. ? Profit.

  9. The viewable area of the map for NTTR has been bugged since September 2018. It is panned West and truncates most of the eastern-most grid. A similar issue affected the Persian Gulf map, but it was restored in November 2018.   10. This has been an issue since a stable update back in September of 2018. The Persian Gulf map was also offset by that update, but it was fixed in November 2018. Notice how the TACAN station furthest East on the in-game map is cut-off in the Mission Editor map.

  12. It's analogous to your visibility setting, not your global graphics setting. Just add these lines to your CFG file: options.graphics.Camera.Low.dynamic = {300, 60000} options.graphics.Camera.Medium.dynamic = {300, 60000} options.graphics.Camera.High.dynamic = {300, 60000} options.graphics.Camera.Ultra.dynamic = {300, 60000} options.graphics.Camera.Extreme.dynamic = {300, 60000} You'll be covered regardless of what visibility setting you employ.
  13. The thing you are trying to do is an oft requested function in this section of the forum - that is, have a static plane in a parking spot be replaced by a client plane upon join in. Even if you used a DO SCRIPT action with StaticObject.getByName('name of your static in ME'):destroy() that is triggered when the client UNIT IS INSIDE ZONE, I don't think the static would get deleted before the client plane spawns in and would create a collision explosion between both objects.

  17. I can confirm that I see threat rings for any SAM that is both hidden AND late activated in my missions.
  18. Just a guess, but it sounds like the JTAC unit doesn't have some options set properly. I've attached an edited version of the mission that makes the JTAC unit invisible to AI. Let me know if it works for you. Caucasus FA-18C AGM-65E Maverick Practice(edit).miz
  19. Hey, Grimes...on a semi-related note, do you think it's possible that the currently limited laser range in DCS could be a function of some obscure value in a lua file somewhere? It's interesting that the default value for static visibility on high is 14000m which is right about the 8.4± mile limit.
  20. Where is this autoexec.cfg file? I have autoexec.lua in two different folders, but neither of them have the line you posted. Steam version, if that matters.
  21. UNIT DEAD / UNIT ALIVE works with static objects.
  22. It appears to be new. I just noticed it in the list since the last stable update. I was thinking maybe it checks the status of all units in the zone and if all units dead, returns true. I took a crack at it by making a zone, placing a static inside it, blowing up the static, then running the condition as a trigger - instant crash to desktop.
  23. I've noticed no issues. I switch to open beta whenever a new hornet feature is introduced just to play around with it solo, then go back to stable for my co-op missions with my friends who stay exclusively in stable. Obviously there will be a little bit of downloading whenever you change versions.
  24. Maybe a silly question, but did you flip the EAC switch on? (it's behind the throttle)
