Given that the road is dirt and not paved, it won’t be a major valley through the mountains. Most likely it’s a small side valley somewhere of which there are thousands.

Thanks. It's very quirky. You can be fine in one spot and stuck just a meter to either side. In some places on the map (Caucasus), it seems you are stuck if between two power poles along the road, while you can move just fine, if you are close enough to almost touch one. I'm pretty sure there are some that are placed close to roadside poles on the mission map. That's the reason.

I just tested once quickly with the A-10CII and, in a spot where the MiG-29S rolled easily, the A-10C wouldn't move. What you get in the sim seems to be both a/c and location specific down to a few meters. I've attached a mission file I was developing with a number of locations where the MiG-29 rolls with relative ease. Most are along roads. Some are in fields. For anyone interested, a flight identified as "CAP" will begin to roll easily. A flight identified as "Intercept" will require about 90-95% throttle before you will roll. NineLine, please open the file in the ME and, using the units list, check the locations of Aerial-43 and Aerial-43A. I placed -43A as an example this morning. They are next to each other along the road between Marneuli and the volcanic cones to the west. -43 will roll easily. -43A will not roll. This is what people are finding so frustrating. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to which ground is "firm" and which is not. Additionally, once you are rolling and stop (off road), you usually cannot start rolling again. If that’s addressed to me, the tracks are in the post above my last. I’ll run yours, when I get home from work tonight. -
Su-33 with kh-41 antiship missile attached.
Ironhand replied to PalestineEnjoyer's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
My error. I was focused on the detached missile the gentleman is leaning on. Didn’t notice the other missile under the aircraft. I’ll blame it on the image size on my mini-iPad. If I was at my computer monitor, I might have noticed it. In my defense, I do wear glasses. -

Yes, those conditions create the issue. The following configurations with the ALG-131 pod creates the issue as well: -
fixed Can't switch between all weapons
Ironhand replied to FusRoPotato's topic in A-10A for DCS World
Haven't had time to try every combination and all stations but the issue occurs in both SP and MP. In SP, the issue occurs whether the A-10A is set to PLAYER or CLIENT. In both SP and MP the issue occurs when you either start with no weapons or start with weapons and change the weapon load. IF you start with weapons and change nothing, there is no issue. I have not tested launching weapons to confirm that part of the issue. A-10A-Clean Player-Issue.trk A-10A-Clean Client-Issue.trk A-10A-Dirty-Clean-Dirty Player-Issue.trk -
None that I’m aware of.

fixed Can't switch between all weapons
Ironhand replied to FusRoPotato's topic in A-10A for DCS World
@FusRoPotato Tried 4 or 5 public servers this morning and loaded 3 different weapon types on the A-10A, Su-27, and Su-33. The A-10A was the only one which would not let me cycle through all of the weapons. Only 2 were available to select. The outer pylons were never selectable in my limited sampling. You might want to make this an official bug report, if you have the time. The A-10A definitely has an issue on servers when weapons need to be loaded. I have supporting TRKs for the A-10A. I think you mentioned the same behavior occurred with the Su-33 but I saw no evidence of that myself this morning. As far as viewing track files is concerned… Download the track and put it in the Track folder in your DCS Saved Games folder [C:\Users\"yourname"\Saved Games\”your DCS installation’s name”\Tracks]. Start the sim, select REPLAY from the main menu, select the track file you want to watch, and unpause it after it loads. As an aside, if at any point during the viewing you should want to take control and fly it, simply press ESC and select Take Control (or however it’s phrased). Edit: BTW, every time you fly on a server, a track is automatically saved to your Saved Games DCS folder in Tracks\ Multiplayer. -

What key are you using to cycle through weapon selection? The HUD mode selection dial keeps cycling between NAV and CCIP which makes no sense when cycling weapons. -

Ironhand replied to FusRoPotato's topic in A-10A for DCS World
@FusRoPotato If you would, download the attached TRK files and see what happens. It’d be interesting to see whether or not everything works as it should. It might help to narrow things down. “Singles and Doubles” is the TRK file used to create my earlier video. “A-10A” cycles thru Mavericks, CBUs, and rockets (I think that was the last category). Don’t post a video, post a short track. Set up a short mission and when you quit the mission, one of your options is to save a track. Save it and post it here. That way we can see if the issue occurs for us using your mission. And, if it does, we can see if we can figure out what’s causing it. A video only proves that you’re seeing what you say you’re seeing. And we already believe you. The question is “why”. If you did a quick repair, chose the slow repair instead. And uninstall any mods you might be using, if any. The J-11 is not one of the original FC3 aircraft and, so, may have a different way of handling certain things. Bombs will always be dropped in pairs in the Su-27 and Su-33 unless you use the salvo mode key commands in which case all of the same type bombs will be released at once. If you’re carrying 4 FAB-500s, for example, and they all release at once without that key command, there’s an issue. That’s not how it was designed to work and, as far as I know, you are the only one experiencing it. EDIT: This is what happens in my Su-33 cockpit with S-25*4, and FAB-250*4: -

For the first issue (pickling/firing all of selected weapon at once), that should only be happening if you have selected ‘salvo mode”. That is what that key combo does. Can’t double check your second issue as I’m away from my computer. EDIT: Just checked with a loadout similar to your (Mavs, CBU, rockets) and everything worked as it should. No problem selecting weapons. -
missing info New AI - Some Comments
Ironhand replied to TOMCATZ's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
@TOMCATZ, I can’t say that your experience has been mine. They have gotten better at avoiding missiles but they still die about 75% of the time. I’ll admit that it takes a few more missiles to do it, though. And they frequently don’t die until now until well within visual range. Perhaps it’s actually a missile rather than AI issue. I am usually in a Flanker cockpit and, so, normally use a real missile like the R-27ER instead the toy AMRAAMs most people use. In all seriousness, though, I wonder if the new behavior is simply highlighting the deficiencies in modeling certain missiles. -

Not that I’ve found. According to the announcement made by his nephew, he died suddenly in August of 2020. I’ve spent hours searching for an obituary or something similar in the San Paulo area but have come up empty. It doesn’t help that I don’t speak Portuguese. -
Cockpit indicators for Salvo Mode & Launch Permission Override
Ironhand replied to Necc's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
Ahh. Slowly comes the dawn. There may be some internal logic that controls the quantity/sequence for the firing of unguided rockets but it certainly seems like “All” should be an option. Unfortunately, I have never been able to get my hands on an Su-25 real world manual. Based on the Su-27’s PVI-10PE2 with it’s simpler A2G functionality, however, it seems like it would be an option: -

Cockpit indicators for Salvo Mode & Launch Permission Override
Ironhand replied to Necc's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
One of the problems with the FC3 modules is that, often, key commands were copied across all aircraft whether they were applicable or not. The "Salvo Mode" (release all of the selected weapons at the same time) key command makes no sense in Su-25 because you select it through the Weapon System Control Panel. It's the "ЗАЛП" setting on the release mode switch. In other aircraft such as the Su-27, it used to be indicated on the HUD but that was removed eons ago. "Launch Permission Override" is something of a misnomer. It actually should read "Manual Permission" because you are issuing the permission manually instead of allowing the system to determine when the parameters are met. I had never noticed it was available as a command in the Su-25. So... I really can't comment on whether it used to have an indication. If it still does and it's not a lamp lighting, a change in range, or something similar, then it'll be a switch. You'll need to look for a switch that moves to the "РУЧ" position, when you use the key command. -
This, of course, assumes that whatever you have DCS installed on lives in a place with cell service. My installation, for example, does not.

So...what is the battery duration of the AIM-120C? EDIT: I just took a MiG-29 flight in your mission 2 and at no point did either AIM-120 go active. Not during the first max range launch, nor during the 2nd 20 km launch. Both missiles remained silent and missed. So I'm thinking the mission itself might be bugged for some reason. In some flights of my own making earlier this morning, every F-15C AIM-120 went active. EDIT 2: A TRK from a flight this morning. The AIM-120C continued maneuvering for 124 seconds more or less. So, if the battery life is modeled at all, it is modeled as much longer than you were thinking. Either that or this is yet another AIM-120 bug. New AI BVR 03.trk
