  1. Clicking the "next" button on the first page of the review takes you to the review of the Thrustmaster T.16000M. The numbered page-buttons work, however. Ok, my mistake - the "next" button in the line with the numbers works as intended, it is the one below that shows the above mentioned behaviour. I guess you should rename it to "Other reviews" or something like that, as it is right now I find the page navigation a bit strange.
  2. Umm, you have to extract the *.rar file (=compressed file to keep filesize smaller) and then replace the old files with the new ones. Extract with winrar, 7zip, etc.
  3. Movies also have motion blur because of the shutter speed of the camera, whereas the frames in a computer game are always discreet (non-blurred) images. Even so, some movies exhibit quite some stuttering when the camera pans around, at least to my eyes.
  4. Of course. Also note that I never said that 30ish fps is not enough for sims to feel fluid, I just take offense at that age old misconception that the human eye cannot see more than 30 fps. Very true about the speed of motion - the faster the game, the more fps you want, nay need, for it to still feel fluid. @EtherealN: My guess is that the OP wants to know how he should set up the quality options in the Nvidia control panel, can't help there as use Ati/AMD myself.
  5. I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean to do, but I can tell you that with a GTX 460 you are severly CPU bound in LOMAC. Of course this also means that any quality settings like antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are essentially for free. That statement is just .... wrong. http://www.boallen.com/fps-compare.html
  6. Why? Rightclick the start icon, select properties - make sure the target line looks like this: X:\Ka-50\bin\x86\stable\launcher.exe --console Also make sure that it is executed in the root directory, the line below the above should read: X:\Ka-50
  7. I don't think the paddle is an axis on the WH (it isn't on my Cougar), so you have to assign it as a button, it's called "Wheelbrakes on/off" in the control setup.
  8. Hmm, whats your motherboard?
  9. Ever thought about overclocking your CPU? Also, the sim right now is far from optimized, Wags even mentioned that Beta 3 might run slower than previous versions, so before before spending any money I would wait for the final version. If it still runs unacceptable then you can start thinking about an upgrade. Never buy hardware for "future" projects, only upgrade if what you play right now does not run as you would like it to.
  10. K-041 on? Shkval uncaged?
  11. For both, obviously. Or in other words, how big is your OS footprint? After 7 months my W7/64 installation is roughly 37GB, so even on a 60GB SSD there would be space left for one or two games.
  12. I'm not quite sure but I think it turns off automatically once you reset/cage the Shkval.
  13. Did you install DirectX 9?
  14. Makes perfect sense, thx.
  15. WYP?
  16. Nothing stops you from burning the downloaded files to a DVD.
  17. Of course you can use 4 sticks and still have dual-channel enabled. http://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/132-LF-E657.pdf Page 13
  18. Don't know if I would call myself a Guru, but that looks like a very nice setup indeed. About the RAM - if I were to build a new PC now, I'd probably drop 16GB in and then run my games off a ramdisk. That said, 4GB is still plenty for today's games. An SSD plus a cheap 500GB-1TB HDD instead of the Velociraptor might also be an alternative worth checking out.
  19. Isn't the prone to violence cop wife armed with a Sig Sauer?
  20. Glad you got it sorted, happy :pilotfly:
  21. No, not the same chip, so won't work.
  22. Just go to nvidia.com and download their latest offering, I have an Ati card myself. I think the current nvidia drivers are 26X.XX something.
  23. Did you deactivate BS before you switched to W7? Although it seems quite unlikely to be the issue here, as activation only comes into play when you start the sim itself, not the launcher that you are having troubles with. Have you tried different drivers for your graphics card yet?
  24. No you cannot put two (or more) different Nvidia GPUs together in a SLI configuration - see here Pretty sure it's the same for Ati's Crossfire.
  25. Erm, the navigation suite makes use of GPS to determine your exact location. Ever used a navigation system in a car? Same principle, only your waypoints as such are when the system tells you to take a left here, go right there, etc. until you have arrived at your destination.
