Do you have a 64bit OS? If yes, then you don't have to do anything, the 64bit version is installed by default. If you have a 32bit OS you also don't have to do anything as only the 32bit version will be installed. The only time you have to do anything is if you want to have the 32bit version installed on an 64bit OS - then you have to tick a box when prompted during the installation.

I don't use the range knob for DCS A-10, just the T6 button, but if I assign it to any axis it is "joyslider1" for me too. Throttle is "joy z", so I guess that is normal. I know that both work together for me in BS for example, where I have the range knob set up as the throttle and the throttle as collective.

1. Du hast um anlassen der triebwerke gebeten als du schon mit laufenden auf der startbahn standest - irgendwie klar, daß da vom tower keine antwort kommt, oder? Auch die frequenz hat nicht gepasst, batumi ist auf 131, dein funkgerät ist auf 124 eingestellt, kann allerdings sein, daß das bei der einfachen variante egal ist. Ich flieg zwar auch mit radio assist, stelle aber die frequenz immer richtig ein. 2. Den autopiloten kannst du nur aktivieren, wenn das flugzeug die richtige fluglage hat - du hast es bei >10° pitch up versucht, das klappt nicht, die nase darf höchstens +-5° pitch haben. Außerdem warst du zu langsam, geschwindigkeit muß mindestens 180 knoten betragen.

Oh please, I often don't even uninstall older drivers and just install the newer ones right over them and there is nothing flakey on my system. DriverSweeper just for a new driver? Ridiculous. In fact, these driver cleaners/sweeper can cause a lot more grief than a simple botched driver installation ever could. I suggest to stay away from them.

I've been using pedals for such a long time that it is all muscle memory for me, but tbh I don't remember it ever feeling weird or wrong. As long as you have no plans on ever flying real planes just reverse your axis if you can't get used to how they work.

Both of these cards will work nicely for LO/DCS. The cloud shadow bug from LO/BS is not card specific however, you will have that on any card you get. Good news is that it is gone in DCS A-10, so here's hoping that it will be patched out of BS, too. For LO I think you will just have to live with it, I don't think it'll ever be fixed.

Hmm, I also use Viper's profile (modified to suit my tastes) - in my case I have trim on the DMS hat (S3 in) and I have to say that works quite well for me. Using short, gentle taps for trimming I cannot say I'm having problems with sensitivity, but on the other hand I rarely trim the plane for 100% perfection and I also use the autopilot quite often.

Are yours the USB type? Mine are the old gameport type plugged into my Cougar and they show as "Joy_RZ" in the sim.

"Joy_Z" is the throttle on my Cougar - I have that set up as a slider, I don't need a curvature there. For X and Y axes I use even higher curvatures on top of the ones I have set up in the CCP, plus substantial deadzones in both sim and CCP. My Cougar has the FSSB R1 mod and without those settings it was much too squirrely for my tastes. Maybe I should try out the higher force settings, but now that I've finally tuned it to my tastes I'd really rather not.
