I've been testing extensively against a MIG29 (one of the quick start missions for the Hornet).. the AI always does the same thing if I make my turn in the beginning. feels like watching a repeat) After some time it reverts to looping with bizarr energy management (like gaining energy while I'm falling like a rock). AI is on max skill level.
  2. TMS up once = soft lock, radar goes in to SAM or Situational Awareness Mode TMS up twice = hard lock, radar goes in to STT or single target track

  7. Hi Bignewy / Nineline. Care to share some details on the ai changes? How does it affect non prop planes? What more has been done with the ai? I think I'm speaking for more than myself here. Always interesting to learn more.
  8. I'd be even more impressed if we could have some under the hood explanation what has been upgraded. I tested it yesterday and didn't see any difference. I'll try again.
  9. I agree. They are way to dark. Working with the radar cursor is quite tough on a monitor. Have to lean in quite far. Needs more contrast and brightness.
  10. Adding to what's been said before. It's a good foundation to continue (hard and speedy) work on, but it's extremely barebone which is asking quite a lot considering the ea asking price. I'm having doubts about the flight model, at halv tanks full and no external stores I cannot maintain 9g sustained turns.. At what speeds should this be possible? Also, what is the recommended minimum speed in wvr scenarios?
  11. It would be very cool if ED could add fog to the cockpit windows if the incorrect air condition settings was used / turned off or the system took some damage. Even cockpit smoke would be nice to have. :thumbup: It would add to the immersion a lot! What do you think?
  12. Does anything actually happen if these warnings was to be ignored? I always follow them but I don't know if some kind of action is actually simulated. Also, turning of the cabin ventilation, willy that fog up the cockpit? If not, it would really add to the immersion if something like this happened.

  15. I just read this thread after posting another one in the wishlist section. HOW can this still be ignored? It's been acknowledged for several years. We haven't seen a single wiff about this in the news letters or anything. Ed please stop stalling and go ahead with changing this. It absolutely destroys this sim having our opponents behaving like this. Look at bms, that's the minimum level we should expect.
  16. ED, what's your input on this request? The ai has been bad for years. Can you prioritize or show the community that this is a big issue we would like to address. Can you consider fixing it?
  17. I've been struggling lately with dcs, not having fun anymore and that's simply because the ai is not giving me a good challenge. I've tested all difficulty levels and they all underperformed. The ai fly like a ufo doing loop after loop and some scissors. That's about i. When I'm at their 6 it doesn't jink or pull any hard gs to try to shake me. Just being patient and doing lag pursuit I always nail them in a gun fight. Let me know what you think should be improved when it comes to ai acm behavior.
