  1. Probably very much work in progress. Seems like they are doing this carefully. I also think they are working on tuning the gloc logic, or at least I hope so.
  2. How do I create an overfly mark point? Hit icp 7,wait for the right moment and then TMS up?
  3. I have the same issue. I got it working once but couldn't get it to work the second flight I made.

  5. I guess one other problem with radar altitude is that it shows you the alt. underneath you, not what's in front of you. I guess you combine that with the AG radar but we are missing a proper radar directed approach mode or IFR approach mode for the ATC. That's probably the most realistic way to approach in bad weather (or just fly the ILS) with proper mission planning and waypoints.

  7. @Flappie OK, what I did was some basic BFM testing with the AI. AI vs AI and AI vs me at a later stage. To my suprise the AI flies really poor in the situation I setup. It's probably complex but review the track files and see for yourself. It's quite bisarr.
  8. I'm my humble understanding, this is just buggy behavior. The ai should be able to effectively merge and fight in bfm. This behavior seems like the result of too many incorrect decisions. @Flappiesorry thought you worked for ED and could report bugs. I'll add @BIGNEWY Cheers.
  9. The AI is VERY much capable in that other sim. It's not about saving computer performance at all.
  10. Hello ED, Please take a look at the attached tracks. ACE F16 vs ACE F/A18, Guns Only - Nevada. Both planes deploys speed brakes and "merges" at crawl speed. The F/A-18 doing 170ish knots, stalls and landsharks around, while the F-16 is no better. It also deploys brakes almost directly, ignores the excellent gun shot at merge opportunity, comes around behind the F/A18 and almost collides with it instead of shooting the cannon. This is repeatable time after time. I can see so many incorrect things I don't know where to begin. In the last track (crazy again) the F-16 just "merge" and stalls/crash into the ground. Not sure what's broken but something needs fixing. Thanks for taking a look at this. Please make the AI great. M2000 ACE vs Me Stops flying and fighting and crash into the ground. Not using any mods.   11. What does it slave it to? The flight path marker? I then proceed and fly the fpm over the target? I just want to look at the sam launch and do TMS up with something. Flying hot towards it seems like a bad idea
  12. Agreed! The AI is not aggressive enough, doesn't expend any energy to get a snapshot off. It flies like an AI, within parameters at all times (almost). I would love to see it jink, do risky high energy manouvers and be a bit more unpredicatable.
  13. Hit the FCR TGT OSB Button, it's in the right bottom. A question when it comes to mark point; A problem I often face is pop-up threats like SAMs, remembering their position in the heat of the moment is hard, and makes dealing with it even harder when under pressure. Will I be able in the future to use the JHQMS to do a mark point where I see a sam launch, go defensive and later come back with my systems slewed to that mark point? If not, how am I supposed to deal with a threat like that? There's not enough time to use the AG radar to find the sam, it takes too long time to find it with the TGP while maintaining good SA and avoiding other threats. Cheers!

I'll drop a few which is of high interest for me: New ATC for airports Thunderstorms and large clouds AI updates and improvements (BFM, tactics, formation takeoff and landing witht the player, etc.) AI Flight model (to avoid "ufo ai" flying) IADS implementation Would it be possible to just see some development updates in these areas in the news letters from time to time? It was a long time we heard anything. Modules are taking up to much space imho. Cheers!
  15. After flying with my buddy yesterday we both noticed that using the ground radar for adding SPIs used for targeting is very unreliable. We both targeted an airplane on ground at an airport, click the TGT button to see in detail what we defined, the TGP is now looking 2-300 meters off target. JDAMs and other weapons we tried to launch at the target also ended up way of target. Also, the HUD symbology does not correlate with what we define as SPI with the AG radar. Anyone else noticed this? Seemed to work a lot better before the last patch, probably this is a new bug (or several)
  16. Ah, yes, as instructed above, use M-SEL 0 to toggle the state. It was changed as you indicated.
  17. BFM AI is in a general poor state if you ask me. There's no aggressiveness, no immediate reaction from the ai and it looks like it's not fighting at all, just calmly and persistently turning/looping with god like powers. I really hope that this gets addressed, it's been my main concern for years. Would love to see what's planned in this area.

  19. Who knows, it feels good to fly, could be placebo (we don't have a change log so.. could be just that) Just waiting for the final flight model tuning and some faster G-onset rate (without blacking out). Then I'm happy

  21. Dropping CBU-103 from the Viper, either in VIS or PRE mode (within launch parameters, nicely lined up, no wind) always overfly the target and misses completely. No matter which settings I select. They miss by several hundred feet, not even close to the target. They worked great before the patch. Not sure what has happened. Anyone else having issues with this weapon? CBU-105 seems to work fine, hitting the target as intended.
  22. Feels like it's a bit snappier when rolling (max deflection) and a bit more sensitive to wind. Cross wind landings feels great now. G-Onset Rate is still very slow and seems to stop at around 8, takes a very specific speed regime to get into 9gs.. I guess we wait some more
  23. So a friend and I was attacking an airfield with CBU87s and CBU97s and some MK82s. In a row, we had 10 MIG29 static objects, we literaly blanketed the whole parkinglot, 6 CBU87s, 4 CBU97s and some MK82s direct impacts. To our disbelief, 8/10 MIG29 static objects survived the attack. I proceeded to strafe all targets with the cannon but to my avail, I didn't do any damage to the targets. I re-did the mission with AI Mig29s and all of them blew up as expected. I believe there's a bug releated to damage for static objects, at least the MIG29 model. Cheers.
  24. Since I upgraded to a 3080 this is a massive issue with some of the cloud presets. Running at Ultra clouds. Any fix been announced yet?
