  1. I believe the Hornet has some format-selecting functionality via the HOTAS. We already have the STORES/RDR ATTK come up for when we switch master modes, but I believe the castle switch can also do some things. As mentioned in the DCS Hornet manual, for example, it will swap the SA/HSI format on the AMPCD in NAV and bring up the SA in A/A (this isn't in yet but given it's in the manual I am assuming it will be). Also, I believe the STORES and RDR ATTK can be brought up via sensor control switch right/left (again after TDC is already assigned to that display if applicable). This is actually mentioned by Jello on the Fighter Pilot Podcast episode where he played DCS - he mentions he tried "castling right" to bring up the radar. All in all, this sounds extremely useful. Does ED's documentation/SMEs confirm any of this?
  2. Differential altitude is already implemented. Anyways, I'm sure these things will come at one point or another. The A/A radar has a long way to go for sure.
  3. And track is now attached
  4. Harker is describing a way to reproduce the bug I stated in the OP. The bug is that a TGT can exist in CCIP.
  5. That's what this is xD I'll edit the OP with a track soon
  6. While track while scan is a big thing, just FYI that's not all that's missing from the radar. It has lots of other things not yet done as well.
  7. Normally, when a bomb program is CCIP but there is a TGT designated, it will act as if in AUTO. However, if you designate a TGT before setting CCIP mode, it doesn't do this. I believe it should always go to AUTO; Wags made an entire video about this a while ago, saying it is not possible to be in CCIP and have a TGT designated. EDIT: track now attached CCIP TGT bug.miz.trk
  8. Two rather simple things are missing from the AIM-7, as mentioned in the DCS Hornet manual: - When not in STT, "GO STT" should be displayed on the L&S TD box with the AIM-7 selected. - Pressing cage/uncage for less than 0.8 seconds should initiate STT on the L&S (which would mean using the button to switch between NORM/LOFT should require it be held down for more than 0.8s). It also STTs when you fire when an L&S exists but is not in STT, which does work right now Will these be added soon?
  9. IIRC Wags said the Hornet SMEs said the amount of shaking is accurate.
  10. I think later we'll get HUD and HMD TGT designation via the A/G radar and/or LTD/R, meaning yes, that will be possible by simply using Target of Opportunity mode.
  11. That's odd. I have not done extensive testing but for me the only thing bugged (minus my issue here) is the offboard-ONLY tracks, which don't show up. I am getting the onboard+offboard indications (HAFU) and onboard-only indications (bricks); that was reported as a bug already.
  12. On the RDR ATTK when you cursor over a track or designate it as the L&S or DT2, the bottom portion of the HAFU disappears. Additionally, the track ranking sometimes gets messed up. Donor HAFU bug.miz.trk
  13. Appreciate the reply, Wags!
  14. Wags said this will be fixed. When it is we'll have an option to select the left / right of a single mount.
  15. The undesignate button does not disable AACQ, which is my point. That will exit single target track, but not AACQ.
  16. While usually not needed as it's only on for a split moment if there's a contact on scope, it seems odd there is no way to cancel AACQ (which could be useful when there's 0 targets detected and you're in AACQ and want to cancel). Is this something ED missed or is there really no direct way? Going to ACM will work but it seems like you should be able to press the undesignate button or something.
  17. ACM modes seem complete actually, minus uncaged WACQ and of course this issue.
  18. Another thing: when the A/A gun is selected, and you hit undesignate in ACM, to include GACQ, it returns to scan but is still technically in ACM. I believe you should always at minimum have to be in GACQ when the gun is selected (this is based off other sims, can't say anything else due to rule 1.15).
  19. On the SA format, PPLI tracks' callsigns should display as first letter of callsign + last letter of callsign + callsign number (this is per Wags). This is not working correctly anymore, I just noticed. The track's callsign is "Colt 1-1", so it should display as "CT11". However, it's displaying as "0411" for some reason. In the mission editor, Colt is the 4th option down when selecting a callsign, so I'm guessing that's where it's coming from. .trk is attached. Thanks! Callsign SA bug.miz.trk
  20. Upload a video or trackfile if possible
  21. OK, sure, the physical ground doesn't technically matter. Let me rephrase: I don't see how it would know where the three dimensional point actually is with respect to the elevation. EDIT: posted this before I saw the previous 3 posts. But yeah, like they said.
  22. AACQ should, when the TDC is over a target, STT that target. This is not consistently working. Sometimes it does but many other times it jumps to another instead. AACQ 2.miz.trk
  23. That's true, you'd need correct pressure for an accurate barometric altitude, however you could just use a "wrong" altitude, as long as the bomb is using the same incorrect pressure. I still do not get how the bomb knows where the target is vertically if the entry is in height above ground. I don't see how it would know where the ground actually is.
  24. Yes, precisely, hence why it would make sense to give it an elevation above / below MSL. I don't see how a height AGL alone would even give it any meaningful information.
