  1. The point is the GPS won't know where you're talking about vertically if you give it AGL. The AGL relies entirely on the elevation above sea level of the ground above which you are measuring the elevation AGL.
  2. Aye - however, ED says the elevation you enter is actually above ground level (AGL), not ASL, hence my confusion.
  3. So to be clear, VACQ can only be entered once already in air combat maneuvering mode. To go to ACM, do sensor control switch up. Then, if HMD is off, go down to get VACQ. If HMD is on you'll need to go left to get WACQ then down to get VACQ. Yes, 9M works with the HMD - that's independent of the ACM mode. 9X will reach farther off boresight however.
  4. When the HMD is on you have to go to WACQ first.
  5. I saw NineLine/Wags' posts in the bug forum about JDAM elevation being entered in feet above ground level. I would just like to know... how does this work? How does the bomb then know the actual location of the target vertically above (or below) sea level)? Additionally why does it say 'elevation' (a term usually used for an altitude above sea level) and WGS (World Geodetic System, which defines sea level for GPS)?
  6. Yeah as Backspace says, that works for now. But I think it's supposed to treat each bomb individually rather than each station.
  7. Yeah, this is currently not working correctly, per Wags. He said an option to select the individual bombs on the station will be coming.
  8. Yeah definitely report this (provide a track, they like those). When within Rmax and Rmin with the steering dot inside the ASE circle the SHOOT cue should display.
  9. As Santi said, it's based on the age setting--so I don't think the first point is a bug. As for the track extrapolation, you may be right. Let's see what ED says.
  10. Tracks/contacts on the RDR ATTK seem to show up in the dugout zone. While this function isn't implemented yet, I think it's still wrong for angle+range targets to be showing in this area; the radar scope should cut off at the bottom of the dug-out instead of at the top. Track attached for demonstration Dugout bug.miz.trk
  11. For this just use the QTY option.
  12. Feature. It is now correct - each station has its own set of 6 PP points. You can use the STEP function to set each.
  13. Just did a test for the freezing bug. It seems to happen if you go from A/A master mode to A/G. If you do it again it seems to fix itself.
  14. Two JDAM bugs (demonstrated in track): - Something is causing an inability to select anything on the STORES format. MODE, EFUZ, etc. - When a station is selected and there's two bombs on it, and you release one, all displays show as if the other station is selected (e.g. STA 8 selected, fire one of two from STA 8, the STORES format and JDAM DSPLY will highlight and show STA 2 if you also have a STA 2 with JDAMs). However, as it should I believe, it does release the second one off STA 8 if you pickle again. Also, the JDAM DSPLY (as well as all other A/G weapon DSPLY formats) is not showing when the station is selected, except if the STORES format was on that DDI/MPCD before then. However, it's still clickable - you just can't see it. JDAM bug.miz.trk
  15. Both numbers are FROM the BE. Upper left is FROM the BE, TO your cursor. Bottom right is FROM the BE TO the track under the cursor.
  16. Oh? Good to know -- I've heard it multiple times before but I guess it's just a myth.
  17. Given the options are there, I'm sure this will come at some point. Sounds interesting
  18. You have to enter 4 digits, hit enter, then do the last 4.
  19. It'd be nice to have the external lights switch on the throttle, which on the real thing is a two-position switch, have an "on, otherwise off" binding (similar to the flaps switch), so it can be bound with, for example, the Warthog throttle. Said throttle has a 3 position switch in the same spot the Hornet external lights switch is, with the middle position not being an actual button, so you cannot use just 2 of the 3 positions for this binding, as right now the available bindings are two separate bindings for off and on.
  20. Also, ATFLIR got rated for carrier landings, Litening didn't. I guess they have to make sure it won't go flying off when the plane hits the deck and they never bothered to do such certification with the Litening.
  21. Ahh thanks. Anyhow, BATR seems fine, but the FEDS won't show on PG, and when you do load up PG, it breaks something and FEDS won't ever appear (haven't tested on other maps I only have CC and PG) until DCS is rebooted.
  22. The new bullet at target range (BATR) indication for the A/A gun in unguided mode doesn't show on the PG map, and no longer shows on Caucasus once you've played on the PG map, until you restart the game. It does still show up it seems for the guided indication. Edit: technically don't think it's called BATR for the unguided mode, but I mean the bullet indication dots on the HUD.
  23. Try the BVR 8v8 instant action mission. Saw it on there. And hmm, must mean that in our Hornet guiding a missile does not always necessarily mean critical. I saw it flash while lethal, not just critical, in that mission.
  24. I realized Yea I meant the circle under, not on top (friendly airborne). Ahh, right. So the inner and middle bands must now have new criteria- previously, outer was anything not tracking, middle was tracking, inner was shooting. Do you know what the flashing emitter in the middle band means? And also, what do the middle and inner bands mean now?
