I could only put 3 Harriers on it as the 4th would be balancing on the port deck-edge about halfway up the flight deck

ADMIRAL189'S CORNER - INCOMING SHIP MODELS
Cdodders replied to Admiral189's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Are you just focusing on USN vessels? -
When I make a SC mission and jump in for the 1st time, the ambient brightness is akin to the flash of a Nuclear Bomb. Going back and reloading the mission sometimes solves it, as well as changing the time I have attached a sample mission and a few screenshots 1st screenshot is of the initial mission start, 2nd is of the mission start after changing time from 0800 to 0600 After changing the time back to 0800 everything was normal Big Bomb test.miz

Did anything break, as far as you know?

Do you think today's update will break anything?

It seems that the SCUD has many issues regarding targeting. 1st is that it needs completely level ground, which may be realistic but we don't have a gradient indicator either in the mission editor or the F10 map. 2nd is that even with supposedly flat and level ground, such as an airfield, the SCUDs are off target. By the same amount each time, hitting the exact same spot each and every firing. SCUD B, the model in DCS, is supposed to have a 450m CEP, which means it land anywhere within a 450m circle of the aiming point. Currently it is pinpoint precise, albeit inaccurate as said pinpoint is off the aimpoint. As it is the same point each time it is fired at the same target this cannot be working as intended. The Scud has Inertial Navigation, which means it should be able to compensate for wind, which in DCS it does not. Even a SCUD dialled in to the intended target by offsetting the aimpoint and testing until dialled in, as soon as wind is added in the SCUDs go wildly off-target. The image below was such a dialling in attempt. The target is the centre of the runway. Without wind the SCUD strikes the centre of the runway each and every time. The exact same spot but this is where I have to aim in order to get it on the target TRACKS ADDED SCUD firing 1 is with offsets added to counter the pinpoint precise but consistently inaccurate FoS - NO WIND SCUD firing 2 is as above but WITH WIND. No offset for wind used as missile INS should compensate automatically SCUD firing 1.trk SCUD firing 2.trk

While several warships have undergone much needed makeovers, most are still Lock-On era assets (or even older). At least the larger vessels (Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers) as it is more obvious with them.

When doing testing with the Su-25a and Su-25T to find out if they can be buddy lased (not using the Vikhrs), it was found that both aircraft see the laser mark and the Su-25T can then launch a laser guided weapon (not Vikhrs) with it's own laser switched off and the weapon guides in well enough. However, with the Su-25a, it switches it's own laser back on when launching the weapon, causing the tracking to go all screwy. We even had the missile track the buddy-lasing aircraft for a few seconds. We had a thought that this is a bug that has gone unnoticed due to the lack of people attempting to buddy lase for Frogfoots, so here I am reporting this as a bug PFA this DropBox with 2x in cockpit recordings and Track file from the Su-25A pilot who assisted in the testing. Also has a cockpit recording from the Su-25T for comparison https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9wmtx6z64...kEQAMdCLa?dl=0

Once you switch the anti-skid to NWS, press the stick NWS button (IIRC it's 'S' by default). when pressed (when the anti-skid switch is in NWS mode), the HUD will show NWS HI and you can turn the nose wheel much further while holding it
-
You using the high-gain setting for the nosewheel?

Have you thought about adding in older aircraft? -
Is the AI being almost incapable of landing something that can be fixed? Also, would I be able to have it in a MP session and have 12-14 player(client) spawns on the Hermes?

Oh boy

Is today's OB update likely to cause issues?
