  1. I'm also waiting for the hook lol. A light viggen can stick a carrier landing pretty consistently, just dont lock up the brakes. It's fun to see what all you can land on it.
  2. Nice, when I tried it I would either overshoot the wires or hit the back of the ship.
  3. I've done it on runways, still havent got it on a carrier that way yet. It's hard to adjust left right lineup without messing up the ball.
  4. That could explain the inconsistent behavior I have experienced while using it. Its handy when it works.
  5. Thanks, it's the best way I have found, but of course it only works if you already have the waypoint. It also seems a bit bugged, I have experienced inconsistent behavior while trying to do this. Sometimes I cant get it to go into CCIP.
  6. No, I wasn't, I provably shouldn't have worded my post that way. I just intended to show a method that could be used with the current build that could be used to give a visual reference for CCIP bombing.
  7. You can absolutely mark the target for attack! Select your waypoint and then press the WPDSG button. That will put a diamond on your target in the hud, along with an arrow pointing towards it and range information. Then pull up your bombs and get them set up. If you setup the bombs first it automatically puts it in auto mode. Here is a quick video I made of the process. It may be a few minutes before it's done processing.
  8. Yeah I have never seen any smoke or boost from the JSOW, they are purely glide bombs. He might be thinking of mavericks.
  9. Only if you guys keep off the airfields :P
  10. The F-5 has the hook and can be landed on the carrier. I don't know if they will model it with the F-16 or not. I hope they do, I'd love to attempt a few carrier landings.
  11. Yes, use point track mode. I think its sensor select right to select that mode but I'm not 100%, havent flown in a while. You will know you are in the right mode when a small box appears in the tgp crosshairs.
  12. This looks awesome, im looking forward to flying it
  13. There is definitely some occasional weirdness. Right after I installed the f14 a made a quick mission to spawn me in the air to fly around a bit. For some reason the wings wouldn't sweep back even though they were in auto. There shouldn't have been any damage, just 1 g level flight. Restarted DCS and it worked fine after that :dunno: Also I've had jester not be able to pick up a tu95 on radar like 10 miles away hot or cold, same altitude. Not sure what was the deal there, that was an air spawn mission too. Tried telling him auto range and telling him a specific scan distance. Got nothing.
  14. Here is a video, the talking in the background is a stream I was watching. Don't turn it up, the low rpm alarm is loud.
  15. Yeah he mentioned the rotary switches, but just said "internal lighting" so I wasnt sure which he was asking about. I just fired up DCS, you can get all the panel lights with just battery, no motor required. The dome light works battery on or off.
  16. There is a dome light switch towards the rear of the panel, its 3 position green, white, or off. I dont remember if the battery switch needs to be on for it to work, but I'm pretty sure you dont need the engine to be running for it to work. There are also instrument panel lights.
  17. It launches all of them at almost the same time. The release is very slightly staggered, but you can launch 4 of them with one press.
  18. Here's a track. HARM-bug.trk
