  1. Just noticed the collective. Nice. Did you build the road case your self or repurpose one?
  2. I'm dying to get my hands on a suncom f-15 throttle to photogrammetry 3d scan it. I've been lusting over the original tornado grips on ebay (same grip as Harrier, and very similar to the F-15/F-18) but can't justify the 800 dollar price tag
  3. I mistakely ordered 1k resistor networks, I'm gonna guess it won't work? The moment I press any switch, all switches activate
  4. you should consider photogrammetry scanning your original grip and just 3d printing a whole new one with the necessary holes and mounting points
  5. Where did you find the 3d dimensions for the grip?
  6. Bugeye actually offers this as a product for military/training uses https://www.bugeyetech.com/rvct
  7. Is there a graphic or guide showing what the HOTAS button/switch functions are? I want to match it with my setup Edit: I found the stick in the guide, attaching the image for anyone who finds this via search. still looking for the throttle though.

Strange that the transducer doesn't have a guard around it like the real one. Also those two buttons have small screws holding them in place. I've still got my F-18 throttle kicking around in a closet somewhere. One day I'll get back to it. https://imgur.com/a/pmzz1 I'm wondering if I should just cover it in baby powder take take enough photos of it that someone could photogrammetry it into a a part for 3d printing. It's not in that old imgur album, but all the switches are real OTTO, including the transducer. The two 4 way switches are brutally crisp. All the switches are uncomfortably crisp and sharp in their tactile-ness. I wonder if a real plane's throttle would get more worn in.
  9. What you really need is one of these! And even this monster can only sustain 3Gs.
  10. what kind of dampers are those?
  11. Have you considered upgrading to a glass or mirror build plate? On the bottom face I can get a mirror finish, which after painting would look a lot better for the panel surface. (Tricking out an old shitty attack throttle using mmjoy)
  12. pcvr is the testbed for the standalone Quest. I imagine features will hit it first, be buggy as **** and then endup in the next generation quest. The quest is the reason FB bought oculus in the first place, it was always the goal. DK1 -> DK2 -> CV1 ->quest gearvr -> oculus go -> quest Both product lines lead directly to the quest, where fb can get their billion users. But as long as pc's are faster and more flexible, FB is going to want to keep it around to push the hardware, before it's practical to bring it to a mainstream device. PCVR brought timewarp, space warp, touch, an ecosystem of 6dof dual controller games have have figured out what is actually fun to play. The lens technology, screen tech, software stack etc etc. Everything was a prototype for the Quest valve/pimax/htc/wmr have saturated the market, and the daydream/vive focus are total flops. (though the vive focus is doing okay in china) I hope fb eventually allows you to tether to the Quest and use it as a regular pcvr headset, but I imagine they'll wait until it's already solid in the market and turn it on as a "free" feature. The hardware can do it. It's got a better screen than the vive pro. Maybe they are waiting on a wireless attachment for next year @ OC6, they recently patented a device for a mesh network of wireless streaming to a headset.
  13. what is the size of the face plates? I'd love to start designing panels.
