With me, whatever I set my LEDS to. it remains. If I set my leds to off in the target software, when I reboot they remain off, if I set them to on, when I reboot they turn on, works perfect. As without target 1.0 I had no control over my LEDS, but now I do and if you ask me, it works perfect. I would try a different usb port and see if when you turn leds off in a new port if it stays off after a reboot. Also I would uninstall target, delete everything to do with it, look for anything to do with thrustmaster and target in your program files folder and if you use vista or windows 7, in your user folder. Delete everything you find so long as it doesnt have to do with the actual drivers for the stick, then reinstall target again and try the led options again, as maybe you didnt get a good install of target and some old target files are mixed in with the new target files, thus causing you problems ?

Download Target version 1.0 and you can now enable the leds and set their brightness.
-
No, mines does the same, or they used to. They would only light up for 1 second and then the 5 lights would go out again, however that was with the old TARGET software, the Release candidate version. They have just released the proper version of target, you can now control the LED's and enable the 5 circle lights. download it now and get all your lights working properly. http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=50&cid=5

One of the buildings at one of the nuke power plants just blew up in a huge explosion :| This is getting worse by the hour, a huge part of the country now lies in ruins. Shame, as Japan is such a great country. But if any country can get down and rebuild quickly, its japan, I wouldnt be surprised if they recover more quickly than the US did with Katrina.

ERROR when I change Joystick controls in options
bumfire replied to mark82101's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Maybe, I have no idea if different sticks cause the game different problems, I am as stumped as you are in that regard. I just found that everytime I tried to map a key, I would hear DUH, the error sound and the game would minimise to that popup in the OP's post, whatever I tried it wouldnt let me map a single key :( Hopefully he can work it out without having to reinstall. -
ERROR when I change Joystick controls in options
bumfire replied to mark82101's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thats the same error I got, game was working, then all of a sudden the game crashed a few days ago and when I retsrated it and tried to map new commands, that error popup came up. The only way around it I found was to reinstall the game. When assigning new commands, use CLEAR first and then ADD, dont just double click on a command, as I find if you do that the game usually crashes. -
is it torrents ? I hope it isnt.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam :surprise: And your's is a V2 just like mine also, WTF. My one's a piece of shit, the usb ports I mean, the rest of the board is decent enough, but those USB ports wouldnt take hardly any of my usb stuff and if it did, it would force it to run slower than normal due to them being usb1 ports. You have serious Bawlz Viper, as no way on earth would I trust those ports with my Warthog, seriously. BTW, if you are selling the legs on your board, gimme a shout as my ones broke, I didnt even touch them and they magically snapped, so I am trying to find 2 new ones, so if you are not using yours, I will buy em off you if you want ?

Looking for SAM engagement envelopes, SAM data
bumfire replied to epokha's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
here ya go, this is the one Richard used for his engagement. -
My G15 wouldnt power my X52, a 512mb memory stick, yup a memory stick, a mouse, 4 port boeing usb hub and a few other things. The memory stick gives me a warning about performing faster etc. This is with the G15 V2 mind you, I have no idea what the actual Original G15 is like, but my G15 V2 is pretty useless when it comes to the 2 usb ports at the back of it. I like the rest of the board cause I can make macros etc which help ingame, but to me the usb ports on this board do not exists due to them being useless. I wouldnt have the balls to plug my warthog into it, knowing my luck the keyboard would kill the stick if I plugged it in.

Looking for SAM engagement envelopes, SAM data
bumfire replied to epokha's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I couldnt find Sam's engagement envelope, but I have Richards one if you wanna see that instead ? -
I guess that would translate to a few different AC, maybe the A10C is one of them ? because if I remember correctly, the right throttle on the warthog is directly taken from the F15E.
-
No shit ? you have your WH plugged into the usb ports on the g15 ? I have a g15 v2 and the amount of shit I have plugged into the usb ports on it, only to be told that it needs more power and to try a different usb port is unreal. The WH is the last thing on earth that I would of thought would of been ok attached to the g15's.

Cheers both of you  I prefer to lift it also, which I will continue to do as the stick is so cool it would be a crime not to :)
-
Do any warthog owners notice this about their throttles. The off/idle detent, when the stick is in its off position, pushing forward just a little will bring it out of off without lifting it up. My stick just needs a little touch more power to do so than I would normally use to move the throttle forward, however going back from idle to off, I need to lift it. Is other owners throttles like that, in respect to being able to gently push forward and it gets over the detent itself without lifting, no force needed. I looked at the mechanism with a torch and it does seem to be built like this on purpose, i.e built so you can push through the detent when going forward/increasing power without needing to lift it up first, but also built so that you HAVE to lift to get back into the off position. So my questions are, is other owners warthog throttles as easy to gently push through the detent as mine is ? and if so what is the correct procedure from going from off to idle, is it lift and push forward or just gently push forward ? I am wondering incase my stick is somehow flawed due to it being easy to just gently push through the detent going forward.

Hope Not because it will be filled with assumptions and non functioning items because the thing is to upto date and still classified. Well I think that would be the case. Plus I dont like the F15, as its only for people who cant fly and fight in lockon with the AFM planes, hence the reason they take the f15 so they can amspam all over the map. :)

I will admit the HUD can be a PITA at times with the default view, I have to constantly redo the height of the seat during flight to see things, most of the time I cant see everything on the HUD and it gets annoying having to continually readjust. I have no idea if its the correct view or not, but if it isnt then all this time with beta and then open beta has been wasted. I wish they had it like in blackshark, as that HUD didnt cause me so many problems.

HOTAS Warthog updated drivers 2011-02-22
bumfire replied to ACUTech's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I got my warthog last tuesday, it arrived with firmware 20 for the throttle already installed and 9 for the stick if I recall, as I only needed to flash the stick, so they are shipping with new firmware preinstalled. -
4118 here, owner as of yesterday and this thing makes me jizz everytime i look at it :)

Thats just the way the shark is, dont fight it and try to keep the ball in the centre all the time as is a never ending fight, as for A10, well I have noticed you need rudder when going down the runway also. A10 I do this, I steer until I hit about 70, then disengage the steering and put rudder on and it gets slightly easier, if I start off without steering enabled then I need lots of rudder to keep straight until 3/4s of the way down the runway. I havent watched your track, but when it comes to the shark it always yaws like a mofo and keeping the ball centred is a never ending task and a horrible fight. However saying that, you may have a conflict somewhere if it isnt the usual type of yaw or if the a10 rudder control is way out of whack, but I suspect that what you are seeing is normal.

Thanks Runibl ;)

Oh, so they are LED's ? I am just readign the book now and it says something about intensity, so these are meant to light up, but for the moment they dont, phew as I thought I may of had a bust led. Cheers Pilotasso :) The hog and my new saitek combat pedals sure make things interesting, as I have never used pedals of my own before and learning to cope with that to then jump into a humungous joystick is overwhelming, I cant stop staring at the thing, its perfection :)
-
I just became the proud owner of number 04118 :) Anyway, a question I have, does anyone know what the 5 white circles next to the friction roller on the throttle is for ? Are they meant to light up ? if so mine dont, all other things light up but they do not, plus I have no idea what the white circles are for, can anyone help ? Cheers. Also, what do others who have the WH and TIR now use to re-centre TIR ? is every button on the hog already taken up by ingame commands ?
