  3. hey guys, in the HARM SP mode when beeing engaged by a SAM: is there any way to select the most critical spike on the RWR in one click? While having multiple contacts (i.e. heavy defended area) it takes quite some time and effort to select the right emitter, cycling through distant SAM radars. Any ideas? Thanks!
  4. For the last days I tried to optimize my graphics settings to get me at least 60fps with best visuals possible. After doing so in a "big" SP mission, by my accounts, I joined MP and faced the fact that my big was not big enough. So I tried to load into and exit the MP session to tweak the settings - not a good way to do so... Can anyone give me a hint where to find a massive mission, which equals the load of a heavy MP session? thanks!
  5. yesterday during a MP session I met a hostile from his 3 o'clock, <2nm....although visualy id he was a hostile - I got the square, fired a fox3. as soon as I got on his 6 the NCTR kicked in and he was shown as a diamond... So it is not obvious for the IFF to be able to distingish between f&f although very close by...
  6. moin, I just came across a curiosity: the dcs fps print shows me a video memory of 8.3GB which only apply to 5.sth gigs on my 1070 (out of 8GB max). Also shared memory does not ssem to be used. Any idea where the rest of 3gb have been gone? best regards
  7. yes. the radar beam (locked or just looking around) will activate the RWR with the distinct alerts/sounds... Even if the A/C does not light up on you radar screen due to bad echo, beaming... he will get a warning... Have a buddy with some distance locking him up (SA-page), turn your Radar to silence and get behind him
  8. For me the LGB's hit long while in CCIP. Using Lasing by another A/C (MP) they always hit. So two ideas: eather your releasing waaaaay to late or maybe wrong laser-code which results in an unguided attack? I have no idea about offsetting...as far as I know IRL it works but no reference at this point.
  9. today I tried to match SSAA vs MSAA in terms of performance... I found that the Water in SSAA is rendered correctly in the size of the original resolution (see pics attached). Any ideas what it could be? If SSAA it is like it should be -as the resolution of the "box" is the whole screen... Best regards pic1: 1.5x SSAA pic2: 2.0x SSAA

  11. there is no way to find it after the mission start (exept it is in the mission briefing - then have a look there)... in ME you can click on the carrier and look at the (first) waypoint info...per default it is eather 74X or 1X
  12. you are right. TWS can guide a few AMRAAMs simular to STT... You can try to do a "stacked f-pole" to reduce relative velocity between you and your multiple "friends"...;)
  13. it makes to missile to fly a higher trajectory to face less dense air and thus increase energy during hitting the target...
  14. anyone tried to rudder trim for it? if one side is draggy a yaw moment is induced...this leeds the other wing to see higher relative velocity and higher lift...can be seen during decrap manover at high crosswind landings...

  16. when looking at the drag coefficient a streamline body (ideal) has <0.17 (give a bit then you end up at a mk82) compared to a longer than width cylinder 0.82 (again add smth to get a zuni launcher). So you end up at approx. ~4times the drag coefficient for the same diameter... Looks valid to me to be quite draggy... edit: valid Cd for Mk82: https://apps.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a329921.pdf
  17. I tried for quite a time - with DIY Opentrack... It takes quite a lot of time and microadjustment of the head, because your eyes are not able to couterbalance on the screen... This is mostly due to the offset between headmovement and camera movement (30° - 160° or whatever the setting are)... Train a lot and it will become better, but I don't expect it to become good as it is in a ratio. Should be a lot better in VR where you can chose a one to one ratio.

    I am aware that LTWS is not fully implemented yet, but following question: When closing on a bandit while using LTWS to get track multiple targets. How do I switch to the AMRAAM without unchecking the LTWS button on the RADAR DDI submenu? best regards

  22. today I got a FPS loss from 60 to 40 when using the IR Mav view on the DDI...:D when displaying lots of trees only. When it shows sky it is at 60...
  23. Sensor Depress will mark the A/C on the SA page as hostile/friendly... the hover-feature (kinda like that name) will be available later when TWS is available
  24. since a few updates it got noticeable better IMO. 1440p/60...waaay easier to spot anything...no use of any mods...
  25. Are the SA Ground marks dynamic? I don't remember who or where but it was mentioned somewhere that those are predetermined form the ME...not subject to a dynamic change...?!
